After being here for a month and a half from my surgery, this place and it's rehab are really excellent! Here at Schervier, all departments treat you with patience, care, kindness and humor. They treat you as if your not at a rehab center but as if it's extension of your own home! Everyday I know I am getting better here. At therapy they make everyone laugh while you work to ease the process and it's really a great system. When I leave Schervier, I am going to buy pizza for the entire unit- that's how grateful I am for the staff and I am going to volunteer here as well. They are all amazing staff too many to mention by name. Very clean and well kept facility. I highly recommend Schervier nursing and rehab center to anyone who wants an enjoyable and comfortable experience on their way to wellness.

It’s been a great experience!! Since we walked into the nursing home. My wife was here for the past month and a half. Love culture that they have created here has been a wonderful experience. Nurses were very pleasant and hands on took great care of her as well as other patients. Susan, Anna,Megan, Amanda, PT, OT, and the entire Team at Nursing home were the best!! I encourage anyone reading this review that you make this your top choice!!

Honestly. What can i say. Like all people who have a loved one in a nursing home it can be a scary experience. Especially in this covid era. But i find relief knowing that my loved one is in good hands. From the beautiful feeling of serenity in the chapel, the security, the staff such as Johannah, kitty, phyllis and the nursing and doctor staff i feel relief knowing she is in good hands. Like anything you have to be on top of things to ensure your loved ones have all they need. If everyone does that, i believe you will experience the things that i have. Always do your research, always stay on top of things and Let the lord do the rest.

I can’t thank Schervier enough for what they have done for my mom! She has been in and out of the hospital for the past year and Schervier has truly saved her life. Everyone treated her with such care and attended to all of her needs. The food was delicious and the Physical Therapy and Recreational Therapy department was absolutely phenomenal! I spent 7 weeks at Schervier for IV treatment. The staff is really excellent. The CNA staff that took care of me were: caring, professional and dedicated to my well being. The nursing staff were efficient, professional and made sure that you were comfortable without any pain. I also had daily Occupational therapy to strengthen up my upper body. My therapist was very in tune to my needs and pushed me outside of my comfort zone in order to make me stronger. Overall every staff member you met from the security to the maintenance to the kitchen staff to the cleaning staff was always professional and polite. I would highly recommend Schervier to anyone who wants a professional, clean and safe environment to rehabilitate.

Definitely an unbelievable staff who are caring and compassionate. As most humans, there are moments where some staff aren’t attentive to the patients needs, but they are definitely there when the patients need them most. Day in and day out I am greeted by the staff, who are always professional toward me upon entry. When considering this place for my dad, they met all the criteria I was looking for. I can’t speak for everyone, but for me this is one of the best nursing homes I have encountered!

I had a very pleasant experience when I was at Schervier. The staff isn’t only professional, they are friendly and caring at the same time. It’s clean, has delicious food and the outdoor grounds are beautiful. I specifically recommend their rehab center. They have really hi-tech equipment and an excellent team. Schervier has been wonderful to my mother. The care has been empathetic and meticulous. Staff has been upbeat and encouraging making her a part of the Schervier family. My mother came soon after the tragedy of my sister’s death. Immediately the whole team surrounded my mom with love and care and let her know that they were here for her. She has become a regular bingo player and is a member of a number of social cohorts. Nelia,her nurse in particular, was an angel. She treated my mom as if she were part of her own family. I have found the facility to be clean which is essential to anyone's decision in choosing a nursing home for a loved one. My mom has been at schervier going on four years and I have no complaints. The staff is really caring with the residents. It was invigorating to see how good my mom looked coming back after a year of it being closed. I give the staff a lot of credit for all their work

mom who is 85 yr old suffered a fall in the house causing a t spine fractured and a fractured to her patella. she was admitted to Schervier for over a month for rehab. the staff members from the rehab welcome mom and provided her with cautious rehab excercises, and occupational therapy need for the transition back home. The experience was phenomenal . mom got top attention and care at this rehab. the rooms were immaculate and clean . no odor of old people and the staff was quite friendly and attentive. the only complaint mom had who is a picky eater was the food however there is an alternative option to pick from so you never starve. i often visited without notice and found no complaints or surprises from mom. i strongly recommend this place for any elderly parent who needs 24hr care or temp rehab. the nurses and the PA attendant care for mom without any look of discuss and was always willing to help at any given notice. mom was assigned RA was maxine who received mom with open arms who truly care for her health .

My mother in law has been here since July and she loves it! She's made some friends and enjoys the activities. The medical staff is pretty great and security is sweet. We prefer her to be here where she is comfortable than being left alone in an apartment that has become too big for her.

Simple. My Mom has been in this facility for about 6 years, resided on 2 South for majority of that time and has been well taken care of. The nurse managers, as well as the health aide professionals all know my Mom personally. Anytime i come to visit my mom she is always clean and well groomed which is difficult since my mom cannot do much for herself anymore. Anytime my Mom wants to talk to me or there are any medical concerns the nurse managers reach out to me by phone so they can ask me questions, give me updates or just allow my Mom to talk to me. The only things I would like to improve is sometimes there is not enough staff during nights and certain weekends. In addition most of the elevators were down for a lot longer than they were supposed to which caused a lot of headaches and delays when visiting. Otherwise keep up the good work.

Thank you to the magnificent and caring staff at schervier. Everyone from Johannah and the entire nursing staff, including the CNAs were extremely compassionate throughout my entire stay. The dietary and house keeping staff were extremely caring and accommodating. The physical Therapy staff helped me go from being wheelchair bond to being fully functional. At the end I would high recommend Schervier for anyone who is in need of care.

As a family we are very attentive with her care and are very satisfied with the special care they provide for my mom. Yes, there are times when we must oversee to certain situation but they are far and few between.

I came here for the rehab and it was the best! The food is very good, best soup in the country! The people who care for you very nice, when I call for them they come right away. Anything you want specifically by a meal they will get for you. They take me to chapel everyday which is very nice for me. I already recommended 2 people to come because this place does an excellent job! This place has the best therapy center, ms ranada really helped me, got me back to myself! Thank you Schervier!

My mom was in need of rehabilitation after the hospital, and we didn't know where to begin looking for a rehab center. Thankfully Schervier sent one of their marketers to us. Johnny was so helpful and informative. He was so genuine and actually cared about my mom, unlike the other marketers we had met with who were overbearing and insensitive to my mom's needs. Johnny made our tragic circumstances bearable and we are so grateful he walked into the room that day, because Schervier has been really amazing to my mom. The staff is so attentive and you can tell how much they really care about their patients.

I have lived at Schervier for the past 4 1/2 years. I cannot speak for other nursing homes but I consider Schervier be at to be one of the better ones. All of the staff from the doctors nurses and CNA‘s are very considerate kind and attentive. The rehab department is especially good. Everything is kept clean and although smells will occur in these types of facilities they are usually taken care of very quickly. The food is good. They have a coffee shop for snacks and coffee which is great for socializing and they have a gift shop in which the sells candy etc. I would recommend Schervier To my friends and family if necessary as my experience here has been positive over the years. My advice to others would be to do your homework and visit a few facilities and hopefully you will agree with me.

Yesterday I moved my Mom out of Schervier only because I moved her to Florida. My Mom was admitted into Schervier when my Dad went into the hospital and eventually passed away. He was her care giver. I'm so happy I made Schervier my first pick and they accepted my Mom. We both had the best experience and we are so happy Schervier was our first Nursing Home. My Mom has dementia and can be hard to deal with, but they always treated her with the up most respect and patience. I specifically want to thank everyone in floor 2 North, specifically Lisa, Laurally, Meaghan, Astacia, Jerry and so many more. I am forever grateful to you and will never forget you. A couple of things to add, the food is very good, the rooms, bathrooms and the facility in general is very clean. Doesnt smell bad like other nursing homes I have been in. The facility is in a beautiful area in the bronx and everyone that works there is very helpful and made me feel like family. Thank you everyone in 2 North, will never forget you.

My aunt recently spent some time at Schervier to rehab her knee. The nursing staff was there around the clock to assist her with anything she needed and did it with a smile on their face. The rehab team was patient with her and helped her reach her goal of walking on her own once again. I recommend to anyone that may need rehabilitation to go to Schervier.

I am writing to express my gratitude to the entire staff at Schervier during my brother’s recent stay. The rooms are clean and private, the food was very good, and everyone who works there, nurses, aides, cooks and especially the outstanding Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists go out of their way for the patients. Upon admission, Iris Castillo and Ari Sonnenblick made certain that the accommodations were to my brother’s liking, and checked in almost daily to ensure that everything was going well for him. After suffering a massive stroke my father has been a Schervier resident since October 2016. We chose Schervier because the staff smiled. That was a good sign. The floor staff and even those who see my father from other floors continue to smile; they greet him and listen—not easy as he speaks only gibberish now. I am comfortable that he is well cared for by people who know and love him.

Schervier delivered on its goals for my mother's rehabilitation after a series of operations, so I rated it a five. Many of the staff were kind, well minded people. My mother herself has said that while there was plenty to eat, the offerings didn't take into account the renewed medical interest in food as medicine. I myself noticed that there was a fair amount of confusion for my mother and other patients by the use of regional accents by the staff,rather than Standard American English pronounciation. It can be very difficult for people who are hard of hearing with impaired cognition, as it is, to sort through variant pronounciations. These items not withstanding, I would have no problem seeing my mother at Schervier again for rehabilitation, although I have to say that I hope that won't be necessary.

Have my mother in law here. Treat her very well. Thanks to Johnny and Johanna for helping to get her in. Johanna goes out of her wayway make sure everything is ok. She stops by Mom's room to see if she needs anything or just to say hello. We see her in the halls. Always a smile on her face. Always helping someone. Would recommend this place to others. A wonderful rehabilitation facility, Francis Schervier is located in a lovely neighborhood, the heart. of Riverdale. The amenities are up to date and the rooms clean, airy, and comfortable. Spacious, handicap friendly bathrooms, as well as individual flat screen tvs, phones, and thermostats are ubiquitous. In terms of the human factor, the staff is well trained, caring for residents in a kind, considerate, professional manner. The needs of those, both physical, medical, and psychological are addressed fully. The staff is comprised of all fields of care and the programs are tailored to each person's requirements. Medicines and treatments as well as mechanical support devices are provided and maintained. Physical, occupational, and recreational rehab are geared to achieving the maximum improvement in patient health. Overall, I recommend Schervier to anyone looking for such care.

First off ..there is no urine smell at all in the whole Bldg ..go upstairs and check out the floors This is not the other local nursing homes with all their problems Making the BRONX NEWS just like the beginning of this Month . Second to the vol Music person, about Holy communion I guess your not Catholic.. Our Priest and others DO NOT HAVE TO WASH THEIR HANDS before giving us The Host They practice the rules before mass what is required . Our mass has been doing it this way over 2000 yrs . PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK FIRST . No one will get sick at all .SMH And most important is their REHAB has been known to be one of the best In NYC . With new owners , I hope it stays the same and hopefully will Communicate with the family members instead of going through lops With social workers for same old update. Also they need to upgrade their TV sports package With local teams.. NO Channel 11 or ESPN ...BKTBALL! FOOTBALL and BASEBALL Family would love to pay for it and add it For 20bucks a month for the resident ..but was told maybe later in the year Direct TV said they will work with us .its been awhile like 2 yrs with the same sports Problem.
