I've had various relationships with The Heritage at Brentwood since its grand opening in 2007 -- from covering it when still with The Tennessean and after I created Brentwood Home Page; serving as a part-time, weekend receptionist; and filling temp roles in administration and marketing when needed. For the past three years, I've worked with the Marketing Department as its PR and Community Relations liaison. I love sharing the story of The Heritage on social media, in local media and more because I truly love the community and its residents. I've been interested in aging and the issues -- good and bad -- that come with it for years. As a Life Care Community, it's wonderful for couples where if one ultimately requires a move to assisted living or Somerfield Health Center, the other can remain in their independent living home and visit whenever they want since every level of care is on the same campus. For singles without children or close relatives, The Heritage offers the security of knowing they will receive excellent care within a great community for the rest of their life. All residents enjoy a maintenance-free lifestyle, and The Heritage's amenities can't be beat. I'm 62 and have told my husband when we hit our early '70s, we're moving in ... if we wait that long!

I'm so impressed with The Heritage at Brentwood. The staff is top notch! I guess that is why every resident I meet is so happy!! They have been so helpful and polite to my Mom. This was all very new to her and they made her feel at home. Everything is very well organized and clean. The grounds are well kept too. The food is delicious and there are alot of choices. I highly recommend The Heritage for anyone looking to transition to Senior Living.

I have had the pleasure of being employed by The Heritage at Brentwood for almost two years. In that time, I have experienced seniors making one of the most emotional decisions of their life. Many times that means moving across the country to be closer to family and giving up a lifestyle they were familiar with and exchanging it with the hope of of a better one. What makes my work easier is the staff we have here dedicated to provide services and experiences to ease the transition. But the real hero's of our community are the residents who welcome the newcomer and help them feel right at home, their new home. If you are a senior, or the adult child of a senior looking to explore this next phase of retirement, I high encourage you to visit our community and experience it for yourself. You'll be glad you did!

Very pleased that my Mother in law is in such a clean, well designed, beautifully kept facility. Concerned about staff turnover, however. Well handled during COVID. But Extra high prices in the general store ($6.99 for a gallon of distilled water)! They do have THE Best coffee on the planet! Excellent chef. Great programs like art class and Glee club for fun and a beautiful pool to stay active, needs heated though!!

The amenities, service, food and overall experience has exceeded our expectations. Very happy with our choice.

I love the levels of living and life care concept and especially the choices in Independent living from Villa to spacious apartments. Almost all of the residents I have talked to in the last three years here say they wished they had moved here sooner. The facility and staff are terrific and we residents have a true sense of being heard. The crown jewel of the campus is the residents who come from a wonderful diversified background. Everything is in easy walking distance - meals, clinic, exercise, full calendar of activities, market, physical therapy,, gardening, banking, hair salon, etc. If you are waiting for the right time to move here, my suggestion is you do it a bit earlier rather than later. Cheers.

My wife and I have been living at The Heritage--with its beautiful, parklike 48.5 acre campus--for 3 years. We love it. We have many new friends here, and every day we can choose from around 15 different activities. We can order breakfast, lunch or dinner. The dinner menu, with a choice of 4 salads, 2 soups, 11 entrees, and 11 sides, changes every 2 weeks. The food is great. We have transportation available for local food stores, medical appointments, Nashville Symphony and other special events. You really don't need a car. The Heritage is a wonderful place to live.

My mother lived at The Heritage for almost 15 years in her beautiful independent apartment with 3 years in the Somerfield Healthcare facility. She loved living there. it was a wonderful gift she gave to herself and to us, her children, to know she was happy and safe. With an added bonus of all the wonderful friends she made while living there. That included many of the staff members who were always so courteous and caring. My husband and I look forward to living there ourselves one day. We want to continue the same thoughtful gift to our children so they won't have to deal with the burden of, "What to do with Mom and Dad"! We know It will also be a gift to ourselves.

I have not lived here during the best or the worst of times. I have lived here for a year during difficult times. With that said, the staff has done EVERYTHING possible to bring back the good times. There is no place I'd rather be. I love my home, I love my new friends and neighbors. Every day I am thankful that we chose to come here.

I moved to the Heritage for piece of mind. No more house up keep. No more yard work. We have a great staff that takes care of you every need. There is a great selection of food for each meal. The residences here are so friendly. They all become family. There are several activities to choice between. Our grounds are very conducive to walking or riding a bike. There are several trails and sidewalk options for walking. One lap around the grounds is one mile. My home is cleaned once a week or if I have a problem they are here to help clean up on request. My husband and I thought long and hard about selling our house and moving to The Heritage at Brentwood. We came to believe that it was superior to any senior living facility we knew about. There have been no disappointments. As we age, more and more we see it as a gift to our children. They don't have to worry about us, even if we need nursing home care. In short, you cannot go wrong if you choose this remarkable place.

I moved in during COVID. Closure of the restaurants for staff shortages is awful. I hate eating out of styrofoam boxes, even though the food is very tasty indeed. IT and security services are very good.

The quality of the facility and the promoted lifestyle can be easily observed and appreciated when visiting the grounds at Heritage. Heritage designed the lifestyle and environment to be more like people choose before senior living care is involved. There are different levels of healthcare available right where you are living so the amount of health-related intervention is always appropriate, timely, and conveniently located. Heritage is a welcomed discovery for my husband and me during this period of our lives.

I have visited friends here on several occasions. It is a very beautiful facility. I have often said that I would love to spend my "golden years" here when that time comes. I have visited the Somerfield center for rehab and was impressed with the rehab I saw being performed. This facility has everyone any one would want or need all in one contained area.
