After looking at seven different memory care facilities for my mom, I decided on Charter. It was a the best decision I could have made. Everyone (management, staff, kitchen, cleaning, maintenance and activity workers included) shows care, comfort and kindness to my mom and makes her feel right at home. Charter has become like a family to me. Donna in the front office has been spectacular. She walked me through the process of getting mom set up in the right level of care and checks in on her almost every day, even with the demanding work load that she already has. And from other family members I know that she takes this kind of care of everyone's loved ones. Danny the director has made sure that as mom's cognitive status (she had a stroke and was hospitalized prior to moving there) and physical status have improved from Charter's fantastic activities and staff, she has progressed not only physically and mentally but that she has moved from Memory Care to the main Assisted Living floor - even though Charter will lose tens of thousands of dollars from moving her there. Donna and Danny really care about my mother and not just the corporate bottom line!!! All of the activity directors, nurses, kitchen staff, and management work really hard to keep the residents involved and active while always coming up with new projects and (family involved) entertainment with many special occasion holiday events. I am so grateful to all for the care my mother is receiving.

Charter Senior Living was recommended to us for our very dear friend. Donna Backman was wonderful, & so was her staff. She is highly skilled & easy to speak with. The grounds give the feeling of home. We even spoke with some people who live there. Liked everything we saw & heard. Highly recommend Charter Senior Living in Hermitage.

I am so very happy with Charter senior living in hermitage TN...one of my family members is in the assisted living area and we all couldn't be happier with the staff, and how clean it is ! The caregivers are happy and have great energy and just super on top of it!!! I would highly recommend this facility!!!!!

Charter of Hermitage is a great community. Very quaint with a lot of natural light, which is very important. Donna is absolutely wonderful! She is very helpful and will shoot you straight. The new director, Bill, is very nice and welcoming of everyone. Pam at the front desk is happy to see everyone and very helpful. The villas are a wonderful hidden treasure in the community, with significant privacy and natural surroundings. Great campus, inside and out, with options for walking if you need or want exercise. Memory Care is small so there can be more individual attention given to each resident.

My tour and informational session at Charter left an excellent overall impression on me! The staff was friendly and helpful, the entire community smelled fresh and clean (a big deal!), the prices were reasonable, the residents we saw seemed happy, and I loved the location and the fact that it’s a smaller facility on a single level. The marketing director, Donna, could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable, and she provided us with a ton of valuable information that was useful regardless of the facility we choose. She listened carefully, was patient with us as we asked all our questions, and was not at all pushy. She obviously cared about what was best for my parents and their needs, and not about anything else. It was an entirely pleasant and informative visit!

I spoke to Donna yesterday about possibly moving my Mom into their assisted living. She was extremely helpful and understanding about the issues that my Mom has. Unfortunately my Mom could not afford to live there but I sure wish she could. I believe it would be a wonderful place for her.
