My dad was just released from TCU/memory care. He was there for three weeks. I was very pleased with all of my interactions with all the staff-- the front desk, financial services, social worker, PT, OT, speech, nurses, CNAs, etc. Everyone was caring and kind. No complaints.

Mom was in LTC at Walker Methodist (Bryant Street - 7th Floor)) for a little over 7 months and has recently moved into Assisted Living. Our family has nothing but kind words and thank yous for the staff that took care of mom. Everyone was attentive and respectful, although she had favorites, from the aides to the nurses to the aides, she never complained about anyone. It was clean, the food looked good and there were activities she really enjoyed. She also loved the church service, the music and the ministers and so did I as I attended the weekly service with her. We were sad when we left, although happy she could move into AL.

My aunt attended the Adult Day Program for 5 years. She stayed in the transitional care unit after sustaining a fall and another time for pneumonia. During her final days she was transferred there and enrolled in Hospice. The team was beyond compassionate and treated my aunt with dignity and respect throughout each of her stays. She ended up passing surrounded by family and staff whom knew and deeply cared for her. Walker Methodist is the perfect mix of complex care knowledgeable nurses and a family/patient centered care plan. I am forever thankful.

My brother got loving and attentive care while at Walker Methodist after a stroke. He has had a TBI since 15 and we have struggled to get his needs met. While at Walker, he was happy with his care. In particular, his social worker helped to identify his needs and advocated for him in ways that we as a family have been seeking for 50 years. Shelly Tennison is an angel sent from heaven who literally has changed his and subsequently his family’s’ lives forever. I will forever be indebted to Walker Methodist staff and facilities and to Shelly Tennison in particular.

I brought my great Aunt here for rehab after she broke her hip (which many think an elderly broken hip is just an end of life sentence, especially in dementia). Well the health team not only had her walking stairs independent, dressing herself and back to jazz class, the team discovered the reason she was not able to eat well anymore. They were able to arrange for a little throat procedure which fixed the problem, all during her rehab stay. She went home not only eating, walking and stair climbing, a couple of months later she was dancing.💗 Thank you Walker for your great work!

My mom spent 5 weeks in the Transitional Care Memory unit and received fantastic care. The staff was attentive, patient and really cared about each resident. My mom has been in other Transitional Care Units but none were as good as Walker.

This is a PRE-review, in hopes that my mom, who just moved in today, gets the best care on the planet. She is not the easiest person to be around in her state of mind right now, in a new and unfamiliar environment, but she is the kindest, most genuinely caring mom anyone would want, and like everyone's mom - deserves the best. I thank you, in advance, for being patient, caring and kind with, and to her. :-)

I actually worked at this particular site while in high school and at that time I really enjoyed working at this facility and the relationships built with some of the seniors I had an opportunity to greet as a dietary aide. I have also visited church members that have been in this facility and have seen great care and compassion for those residents.

The staff overall is terrific. My shoutout,is to the 3rd floor memory unit, who takes care of my husband. First time in a year and half, I can exhale and go back to being his wife and without worry. Amazing team!!!!!!! PRICELESS.

I was there recovering from open heart surgery for a little less than a week. The good part is there are plenty of hallways to get exercise and they also have a really nice chapel and library. The room was clean, but a bit dreary. The TV was very annoying when turned on due to some loud announcers of power on, etc. The food was hit or miss. Sometimes it was good and sometimes it wasn’t. There was not enough planned activity for the residents which made it quite boring to be in the room. The staff was friendly and attentive.
