The Jewish home is a really fantastic place. The facility is clean, the staff are warm and friendly, and Dr. Mateo is a thoughtful, kind, and exceptional doctor. My grandmother spent her last days here, and they were wonderful and provided her with such great care. Having worked as a long term care nurse myself, I can attest to the fact that as a general rule, long term care facilities are criminally mismanaged and the care is often inconsistent, but that is NOT the case at the Jewish home. In a perfect world, every facility would be identical to this one. I am so grateful.

My mom's phone was stolen from her room. She didn't lose it because she's totally immobile. Staff of course denied it. Social worker did nothing to resolve the situation, and merely said she didn't know what the policy was regarding belongings being stolen from patients. She never followed up on it, either. Also, the phone line to her room is often not functioning for long stretches of time, leaving her unable to make or receive calls. This is after her phone was stolen by an aide.

I can't say enough wonderful things about the Jewish Home & Care Center. A place that truly cares and goes above and beyond to see that my mother is cared for in every aspect of her recovery. As a team they are well coordinated and professional, while yet being very compassionate and caring. Coupled with the wonderful care and staff is the setting of the facility itself. Beautiful place overlooking the lake viewed through wide-open windows. Without end are the activities and programs set-up for loved ones. The food is fabulous as well. Without hesitation I would highly recommend this fabulous facility. Rated and posted by a daughter that always seeks the very best for her beautiful, loving mother.
