The staff at Whispering Chase were so helpful in selecting the right option for my family member. The facility is lovely, and the amenities outstanding. I am very pleased with the entire experience.

I think this is a very nice facility. But it is truly the people that work there that put it over the top...some of the nicest people I have met in quite a while. They love working there and it shows.

My grandma likes living here there's lots for her to do. The staff is friendly they she says they spoil her. Hallway and common areas are all clean. It's a good place to go visit Grandma. There isn't a lot of parking though.

My mom is there...she hates the food except for breakfast & they have difficulty finding/keeping help so sometimes room cleaning & meals are lacking.

Unfortunately since this got taken over by a large corporation, the amenities are slowly disappearing, obvious cost cutting is going on, and it's becoming less and less a vibrant retirement community, and more and more disabled geriatrics. It's obvious the priority has become "Keep the units rented", with no concern for current residents who moved in under different auspices. Many original residents have left, so the whole tone of the place has really changed. Boo.

I am a former year-long resident of WC and my mother is a current resident there, with me visiting her virtually every day. I am wondering how long Ms. Shannon was personally there to obtain her information. Are your comments based on your own first-person, direct observations of what you are reporting, or second-hand information obtained from someone else? Just wondering since these are pretty serious allegations you have made, and really troublesome to me since I have never heard or seen any of this. I have been consistently present and closely involved with both the staff and majority of residents that live there since August, and the selective menu offered is far more diverse than ANY other facility in Cheyenne besides the hospital. There are at least 5 different entree selections offered at the meals, which always includes fresh fruit salads, yogurt, cheeses, puddings, deli sandwiches, and alternate vegetables at every meal. Residents are permitted and encouraged to choose what they like best to eat, and meals are individually prepared to your request as the order is taken. How many meals did you base your accusations upon? Did you eat them, serve them, or neither? As a consumer of several meals and alternate offerings a week when I dine with my mother, I am left clueless as to what you are referencing. Also very disappointed that you chose this public venue to stun a good company and trash their services in print without addressing your concerns first with the managers in charge I assume this since you noted no response from them to your concerns prior to posting your accusations. Where I have worked before retiring, this type of posting of printed inaccuracies is called libel. Retiring after 40 years of nursing, including 14 in long term care and 6 as a Director of Nursing, I am very picky when it comes to where my mom is staying. The management staff, including Anita Antoine the Executive Manager, is the entire reason we have her living there. They truly care about all the residents and staff, even giving them her personal cell phone number for concerns they may not want to bring in to the front office. ALL concerns are handled promptly, and care is taken to ensure everyone is getting along meaning any situations occurring between people (like what Ms. Shannon alleges) are handled immediately and courteously, to protect feelings and dignity. Of course people have disagreements, just like in any other family! But I have never heard yelling or screaming at any time. I know if I ever did, it would be handled immediately. The safety, security, happiness, and dignity of all our fellow residents is obviously their priority and I personally observe it in action every day. Anyone is free to contact me at any time, I will be happy to reply to your call or text and personally give you any information you like from my honest, personal, and observational perspective. You would have been pleasantly surprised how attentive they would have been to your concerns if you could have just stopped by their office before you left the building. Again, assuming you were there. Come back and clear the air, as I would love to see more comments from you after you have given them the fair chance to personally address your concerns. I have always enjoyed working with Holiday Retirement and getting to know the residents and hearing their different stories of their life and working with a great group of people. Now, I haven't worked at this property before but i did work at Holiday property in Austin Texas for 7 years. I will say it was the best 7 years of my life. Lora Rinehart.
