Dunbar Center was a great facility. Buddy was only there just little over a week but everyone was so helpful, friendly and truly cares about the patients. Want to share a special shout out to Lisa in admissions. Wow what a wonderful woman! Full of compassion and goes above and beyond her call of duty. Another special shout out to Jessie! Buddy had the highest praises for Jessie. Said he took excellent care of him and if he needed anything Jessie was right on it. I got the pleasure of meeting Jessie and I was so impressed. He is a rock star! Kudos to Jessie! Thanks to all who work there. Everyone was amazing! Your compassion shows and that means the world to us that place our loved ones in your care!

It has been a pleasure to be here. Therapy has been a God send. I have learned so much since I came here. I have encountered the nicest nursing staff. There are always areas that can be improved upon but overall I had a very successful residency here.. and at some point would like to return for volunteer work. It has been uplifting. I am so happy you were right here at my door step and how effective our organizations can be.

We are so pleased to have my wife’s Mom in the care of the Dunbar Center! They are so caring and thoughtful, regardless of many of the challenges they face in dealing with aging residents at various stages of care. They have been a blessing during the period of adjustment that comes with this very difficult and emotional decision, and helping us deal with the feelings of guilt we had from making it. From the aids to the administrators, everyone always has a smile and kind word, and treat your loved ones like they are their own. Thanks to everyone there, you all are the Best!

Never have I seen a center that gives so much to its residents. The staff go above and beyond in every aspect. From the quality of food to enjoyable activities. Every time I have visited, the residents appear happy and you can tell that they are provided with loving care. It’s reassuring to know there is a facility to provide great care for our deserving elderly population.

They were understanding of cognitive impairment and worked alongside family members to ensure exemplary care. From the lead directors to those providing hands on care, I highly recommend this Center.

After having a negative experience with the Genesis facility in Hurricane, when my father was sick, I was hesitant to send my mother to the Dunbar Center. But I couldn't have been more pleased with the care that she received at the Dunbar Center.The staff were ALL kind, helpful and friendly. Communication was good. The facility was clean and pleasant. There were fun activities every day for those who wanted to participate. The therapy dogs were a huge hit with my mom.🙂 I can honestly say my mother enjoyed her time there. I would recommend this facility.

I cannot believe how caring all the stall there is. I couldn’t think of a better place for my Mom to be. They have activities and games and celebrate every Holiday with all the Residents. Dunbar Center is a wonderful place and I love everyone there.

I went to the Dunbar Center to visit a friend who has been there for several months. The staff was very friendly when you came in the door and took all of the COVID precautions very seriously to keep you and their residents safe. The facility is very clean and the all of the staff met you with a smile and said hello. The residents needs are taken care in the most kind and caring way.

Genesis Dunbar Center is a wonderful place for your loved ones. My father has been here for a couple years now and they go above and beyond to care and facilitate his needs. The staff are caring, knowledgeable and communicate very well. During the Covid-19 crisis they did an amazing job screening and adding preventive measures to try and keep all of their residents and staff safe. They also had meetings via Zoom to keep all of us informed regularly when we could not meet with our loved ones. They also facilitated us to meet with our loved ones via appointments and in accordance to the restrictive guidelines during that time. We are very pleased with Dunbar Center and would highly recommend anyone having their loved ones in their care. Thank you for all you do for my father! Keep up the good work and God Bless!

I made wonderful friends here at the center. One of the best parts about being here was my roommate, Mary. I want to thank all of the therapists that helped me at the Genesis Care. I really appreciate all of the things Jessie did for me, like getting my coffee.

I have worked here at the facility for roughly a year and a half. This place is my second home because of the environment created by the staff for the residents. Anyone looking for a new home, this is the place to be. So many fun activities occur each month that put such a big smile on all of the faces in the building.

Years ago we placed my mother here when it was no longer safe to keep her home due to Alzheimers & rapid progress Parkinson’s. Which when I fell and broke my ankle at the beginning of the year I chose them for my rehabilitation stay. At the time everything was still under lockdown due to Covid-19. I found the staff to be really a kind and caring group of hard working folks who often become more like extended family. The physical therapist’s on staff are just super sweet and funny! As are the CNA’s, the nurses are excellent and caring. The therapy dog Meeko is just the cutest schnauzer ever. And really helped me from missing my own fur family. Administration folks are super nice and helpful as well! I’d recommend them highly! As they are just super nice 😊 I’ll be going back to visit several folks once I get my prosthetic!

I’d like to share my experience of how I finally got back on my feet and started living and enjoying my life. In the past three years I’ve been very sick with lung issues. No not Covid!!!! Amen. And each illness brought extreme weakness to every part of my body. I was about bed fast. Then I came to the Dunbar Center. Considering all the rules Covid brought to nursing homes they have been able to continue high quality physical and occupational therapy. Even with quarantine actions and strict patient care rules they came to my room and worked with me to get me up and going. I was grouchy lol but they just kept coming and finding programs that worked for me. We are all different and they find your needs and have three different types of therapy you go through. I’m blessed and thanks to them I have my life back!! I’m walking and doing things I couldn’t. I can play with my grand kids and cook. This is such a clean place and I was so thankful for all the nurses and staff. They treated me so nice and it wasn’t one but all of them. Even the office staff didn’t mind a bit to come to your room when they had questions and once the Social worker brought me Cracker Jacks!! Lol mmm smile in a box! Having aging family members, I've been inside a few nursing homes. On the outside it doesn't stand out, but all the staff I encounter were extremely thoughtful and took time to update us etc. Lisa was the best!
