My mother-in-law has downsized. One of her prized possessions she has had to gladly pass down to a great granddaughter is her piano. She was ready to purchase a new digital one. She knew exactly what she wanted. It had to look like a real piano, with the key cover, three pedals, and a back panel - no X stand for her. The young man who helped her was patient, attentive and listened to her needs. Being a piano player himself, he understood exactly why she wanted what she wanted. And he had exactly what she wanted! She also found a Ukulele, she hadn't realized she needed. Being left handed, having someone on site to re-string for her was great! Having help loading her brand new digital piano, that looks a lot like a "real" one in a wooden case, 3 pedals, bench, slide out key cover... Perfect! Having my 82 year old MIL playing the piano again... Priceless!

Went in with son. First time in the store. It was pretty busy due to a Christmas presents and folks with new guitars... EVERY employee was interested in helping us. Recognized we were there, helped us with what we needed and all with smiles and helpfulness! Costumer service was extraordinary!!! Million times better than my visit to another Damn place.

Not the biggest fan of corporate music stores, but the staff at this location has improved greatly since it opened. I was able to get the last minute accessories for my Christmas gifts easily. The layout is a little chaotic in areas, but it is holiday shopping season so good deals are going to sell out items. Overall, you're getting better, Guitar Center. Keep it up.

I've never had a bad experience at this store. Staff is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. There's no shortage of gear to check out. I would say they've got something for everyone, it's very hard to go in there and not find SOMETHING you didn't even know that you needed. I don't go in there on a regular basis because there's always something that just has to come home with me.

They are really professor and friendly. They got my guitar repairs done for a really cheap price. I really appreciated this. I'm a veteran and going to start classes for guitars for vets. And I really needed a functioning guitar for the classes. I recommend the guitar center for all your musical needs.

There’s a huge selection of musical equipment here. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I wish they had more display options for arranger keyboards. Their 0% financing is not done directly by them and synchrony bank is the worst place to do business with. Their credit checks will hit your credit hard! I’d recommend having money in hand if you wanna purchase anything.

We went in today the staff was friendly and helpful. My 9year old went in to look at different guitars and get a feel for witch one she would like. They weren’t pushy and let her enjoy the process. We didn’t get one but that’s only because she wasn’t sure on witch one she wanted. 10 out of 10! Thank you for making her 1st experience a great one!

Everyone provides excellent customer service and answered all my questions. Celso got the guitar and case I ordered ready, tuned it and played it to make sure it was ready. They had me play it to make sure I was satisfied. While this was going on a technician was doing some work on my CBG I brought in & had it ready for me while I was there. GC is like a candy store for the guitar enthusiast. I'm enjoying my new guitar... Thanks GC!

Staff are awesome and helpful!!! My fiancee asked if he could practice playing some songs for his son's middle school orchestra he is performing at, and they basically said, well your just testing the equipment, so go for it!. Very awesome! We also take my kids here for their instrument supplies and they are always helpful. Definitely Recommend this place!!!

Staff was friendly and welcoming. Stock was limited (that's on me for shopping the week before Christmas) but the staff went through stock boxes to try and find what I was looking for and happy to do so. Although they didn't have everything I needed, they were quick to refer me to other drum stores in the area that could help me get what I needed.

Staff are always friendly and knowledgeable but it sometimes is hard to find them, or the wait to speak with them is prohibitive. DJ, lighting, and pro audio sections could be better stocked. Cables are always good quality and in stock. It would also have saved me a time or two if the store was open an hour later - I never seem to have a cable emergency before 9pm.

Staff needed to pay attention to one person at a time. Order was delivered to store instead of to our home. We live 2 hours from the store. Called to get it straight after receiving an email that it had been delivered to store. Manager was very helpful getting in forwarded to our home.

Really good dudes work here. They're really friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and genuine. The selection has shrunk since 2009 but... Let's face it: rock and roll just isn't as popular as it used to be. And even then it's a very good selection of prices, styles, and brands across all of their departments. The stock they DO have is very good and worth your time. Stop by and at least browse, but make sure to take a mask. If for no other reason than common courtesy.

This store is amazing! I can't thank Alex and Derron enough! After having an online order of three damaged items, I contacted their store because we had previously purchased items there. These two were so helpful and got replacements for the damaged merchandise even though I didn't purchase it from their store. I contacted them a few times by phone and each time they remembered me and my issue! Wow! So impressive in a world where we struggle with automated phone calls and customer service stationed in other countries! I wish I knew how to contact corporate because these two men run a business right! Friendly, knowledgeable, and on it!!!

While helping a friend pick up some equipment for his band, I got to spend a little bit looking around this place. What surprised me was the amount of people working and customers there. It was very busy for middle of the week and day. A great sign of a well run business. As I walked through, the staff were friendly and helpful to all the customers I saw. I also found some items that I will be back to buy when I have more time to research what I need for my project down the road. To say this place inspired a creative itch in the short time I was there.. oh yeah... I got some ideas! Additionally my friend got what he needed and they helped us load it to the vehicle. All around great service and easy location to get to. Great experience. I hope they continue to thrive! I'll be doing my part to help.

Very friendly. Was looking for one bridge pin and expected to have to buy a pack of 6. Limited selection and what they had were expensive. The guy recognized that and was able to find a spare pin in the repair drawer and hooked me up right! Browsed around and bought items I didn’t go there looking for. I really wish I knew the name of the staff member that helped me. I live 2 hours away, so I called to make sure they were open before leaving my home. When I got there they remembered that I called ahead and brought over their "Bass guy" to show me some bass guitars. Great conversation, great salesmen, we held the appropriate amount of social conversation, while staying on task. We respected eachothers time. The Bass guy is a great player, with good taste in bass guitars.

The one time they were out of an EV loudspeaker we were purchasing, they we're able to get it out of the KC store very quickly. If you're a music nut, there's no better place to spend an hour (or three)!

The employees at this location were less than helpful or knowledgeable. After about an hour, I found a lone salesman back in the keyboard area that was extremely helpful in helping me pick out the first guitar for my 10 yr old daughter. In fact, other customers were far more helpful. I was very disappointed with this establishment. The employee I found in the keyboard area is the only thing keeping me from giving this one star.

Went shopping for a good wireless mic for my sound system found a really good one for 149.00 I also bought a two year warranty on it for 23.00. If I accidentally drop it or if it quits working for any reason, I take it in to the Guitar center, they replace it right then no questions asked just your receipt. Also found a good flattop guitar for beginners for 89.00. I'll get that on my next trip. The people who work there will bend over backwards to help you find what your looking for.

Always an ok place to go for a moderate range of musical instruments, accessories, and books. It had been a while since I was there last and the layout and way better. If you haven't been to this location in a long time, it's worth a visits. The variety of guitars and amps seems to be limiting itself to big names and that's about it though.

Can't say enough good things about the repair techs and how above and beyond they went to make my instrument great!

It's a guitar center, but they don't have the greatest selection of next level gear. Lots of entry level items if that's what you're shopping for, though. Over all it feels a little crowded and the staff aren't super friendly. But it's not a terrible place to get drum sticks, or cables in a pinch.

Its guitar center. I went to pick up an item I ordered. Staff was friendly enough. I tried out a Cort Gene Simmons model bass. I have purchased a few items and have been satisfied. If you are purchasing a high end item or a gift, I recommend the protection plan. I usually think these are a waste, but my son dropped his guitar and broke a tuner. Guitar center sent him a voucher for a brand new one.

Guitar Center is a great music store. They literally have everything you need to get your band going. Their staff is all very knowledgeable, typically one expert is available for each department/instrument you are interested in. Whether its acoustic or electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, recording/production, or stage lighting and effects, they can help. They also offer lessons as well as rented studio time.

Great customer service, several staff asked if we needed help finding anything. We moved from California so the store is a lot smaller than what we are used to seeing. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the price of the instruments. The cost of cables, guitar/bass strings, picks, and other accessories is decent, but the instruments can be found cheaper elsewhere. They do have good sales occasionally so watch for those, especially on holiday weekends. There is a good selection of used gear for those who are new to an instrument and want something cheaper to learn on. I haven't checked out the cost of lessons, but I've heard the cost is a little higher than other local stores. I'll come back just due to being treated like an important person when I walk through the door!

I just received my Luna Acacia flamed Tenor Ukelele. 2 days ahead of schedule. Great looking and sounding UKE. I have always had great results ordering from you all and this time was no different. Flawless transaction. I would have really liked to have bought this from the Wichita store and visit the boys , but safety first. I have been working so many hours at the Hospital since the pandemic , music is the only thing that keeps me sane. I ordered a $73 guitar pickup for my Telecaster and I checked for "In Store Delivery." Somehow there was a computer glitch and the pickup was routed to an old shipping address that was still on file. I never received the part. All customer service said was "too bad." Anyway, I spoke to the manager explaining my frustration. He proceded to rectify the situation and I am once again very happy with guitar center

The staff was friendly which is nice. Not as many options for soprano ukuleles as I had remembered but then again its GUITAR center. Having the little room just for the ukes (helps with humidity comtrol) was nice so I could tune and test a few out.

Seems the store has been sliding down hill the last few years. The Keyboard section is the worst. They need to stop trying to sell so many of those awful house brand Williams keyboards so they can make space for some of the better brands such as Yamaha and Casio. The Williams have an awful sound, only good for starter keyboards at best. The percussion room is alright except the eoectelect sets are always broken. I want to get a electronic set soon but can't find a working one to try. Besides these major issues, the staff is usually friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is great. This place just needs a little TLC and a better selection of keyboards.

I ordered a used multi-effects pedal from Guitar Center's website that came from the Independence location. The pedal turned on, but there was no output. I took it to the Wichita location and the employees, to include the store manager, went above and beyond to troubleshoot the issue. I think there were a total of 5 or 6 employees that assisted me in some way throughout the ordeal. We discovered that a particular power supply had to be used, which hadn't come with the pedal. The manager found a spare that was in the store and gave it to me free of charge for the troubles. This store does a good job of following their model of total customer satisfaction.
