Just purchased a new Baldwin piano from Jasons, and we couldn't be happier and more satisfied with the experience. I wrote to the store's email and within minutes Steve replied to invite us over to the store, and he was very flexible to work around our tight schedule. Later that week, Tom welcomed us in the store and asked the right questions to figure out what we wanted and offered the best options after understanding exactly what we were looking for. Tom is really knowledgeable and a very warm person. He was patient and provided us with tons of information. He helped us through the whole process from deciding which piano we wanted during several visits to the store, to arranging the delivery (during Thanksgiving week nonetheless!) . The delivery was smooth and perfect as the piano was securely packaged. The delivery guys were efficient and kind. Overall, I would give Jasons' staff a 10 out of 10 in service, transparency, responsiveness and professionalism. And last but not least, I researched many stores and Jasons came out with the best prices by far in the DMV area. The price they gave us was hard to beat so in the end it was no brainer for us. I think everyone should check out Jasons before buying a piano, you won't regret it!

I recently (Sep 2021) walked into Jason’s Music Center on an exploratory visit in my quest to buy an acoustic piano that would facilitate musical power for me and guests in my home, and a digital piano that would facilitate creativity with technology for the next generation in today’s musical world. Steve Cohen met me at the door, then patiently listened and helped guide me through a 3-visit process of deciding what would best meet my goals. My pianos were delivered yesterday by a careful and personable crew. I am now thoroughly enjoying the sound and feel of this rich, brilliant and powerful Baldwin (even before the first tuning!), and delighting in the fun possibilities of jamming and arranging and creating with younger players and the Kawai digital piano. The expertise and experience of Steve and the staff at Jason’s were a comfortable mix of personable and professional, and I feel confident that they will also help me manage the ongoing care and maintenance of these fine instruments. I highly recommend Jason’s Music Center for sensitive guidance through any musical instrument selection process.

I went, I played it, he left us alone and came back to check in on us but never was there any pressure to buy. And the man has some beautiful inventory! I was in the market for a piano that would feel and sound like the grand piano that I learned on, but I needed to fit into my small city apartment. I bought a Kawai CA98 from him and it was a great purchase. Many of the items in the store are on sale from 30 to even 70% off retail! It was a great experience.

Just bought a piano from them today! My parents had been shopping around for a digital hybrid piano for weeks, and we'd visited just about every single piano dealer around Maryland. Tom was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and even taught us a lot about the history and specific characteristics of digital piano sampling and build. Gave absolutely no pressure, but after he showed us the pianos and gave us his take on them, we were sold! In short, this is one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable dealers in the area, with great prices to boot! They have a wide range of pianos from many makers for all levels of players, and even the used ones all sound magnificent. You can tell they truly care about what they do! Highly recommend, best place to buy hands down.

We’ve been renting instruments for our kids for the last 3 years and have had the absolute best customer service - from switching to different size violins, minor repairs and switching from strings to woodwind, they are always a joy to work with. When the COVID shut down happened, we were uncertain about how we’d handle the $60 monthly rental fee for 2 instruments - especially since the kids weren’t getting lessons in school. When I called to find out what they were doing, Jason’s Music extended 6 months of free rentals - for everyone. Giving all of those children access to their instruments during such a difficult time for any small business is a gift I will never forget. This company is truly and inspiration when it comes to being reliable and supportive of their community here in Anne Arundel County and they have our business for life.

Steve was a total pleasure to work with in the purchase of our new Kawai grand piano! We had been searching since the summer exploring both the used and new market for a Kawai trying to marry our budget with our needs and desires. Once we decided on a piano, Steve was able to make the magic happen so we could bring it home! This included trading in our baby grand. As our piano wasn’t in stock, Steve went out of his way to locate one for us. There was a wait for the next shipment and the process of customs, but it was so worth it! It has a beautiful, rich, mellow sound! We are looking forward to the decades that this piano will be used! Today alone, it’s been used almost nonstop since it’s arrival! Also, the piano movers were so professional and really took care of each piano during take down and set up. Thank you again Steve!

The selection of pianos is very wide ranging at this store. Having played for several years in school, I was coming in to look at buying a piano. Steve was excellent at helping me with this task. He showed me several different style of pianos and all within my price range! He was very informed about the individual pianos and answered any question I had. Although I did not walk out with a piano today, I can see buying a piano from Jasons Music Center in my future.

Just received our new ( to us) piano from Jason’s music. After visiting over a half dozen piano stores in the northern VA and MD area, should have trusted my gut and come here first. This is a wonderful store for someone who not only wants to buy a piano, but loves music and wants to be in the presence of owners who do too. Piano salesmanship is not a mere job but a calling to Steve and his associates. They want to put the "right" piano in the "right" hands, and will listen closely to what your needs are and where your (and your family's) musical journey might be headed before they suggest anything. If Debbie the technician is in, she will gladly (and proudly) inform you of the work she has done to make your potential piano as good as it can be. The showroom is a bright, pleasant space with great floors! (It used to be the headquarters for a flooring company.) The pianos look beautiful in this setting. We are very pleased with the deal we got, and look forward to all future matters (delivery, tuning, warranty considerations, etc.) with total confidence.

When I started playing the clarinet in the fourth grade, my mom took me to Jason’s to buy my first one. We bought all of our accessories there as well. I named her Pepper. Fast foreword 22 years. My son found Pepper in the closet and decided he wanted to play the clarinet too and so, I took him to Jason’s. Everyone in there is so sweet and knowledgeable and they care so much about their clients. The location may have changed but our experience is the same. Have you ever met someone and instantly knew they were about to become a huge part of your family? Tom Bonvegna responded to an online inquiry I had about a Baby Grand piano that I wanted to surprise my husband with while he was deployed. My husband had played for years and since this was our first home purchase, I really wanted to make that happen. Tom, a Vietnam Vet and hero, reached out to me, heard my story and desire, and made it his goal to help us get a beautiful piano delivered. Our budget was ridiculously tight, and Tom made it happen. I researched everywhere, from estate sales, other online marketplace forums, about 15 different piano stores (some local, some not). After all of the research I had done (not knowing much about pianos beforehand), I learned that unless you REALLY know your stuff, you needed to go through a reputable company. If a piano wasn't tuned for the duration of its life, it could look pretty, but it wouldn't be very functional. I almost made a deal with another company that I would have regretted... and then Tom called and from that moment, I had an absolute peace about working with him. He was not a "salesman," but a true gentleman. Tom went the extra mile by a lot!!! There was one piano we thought would work, and it was even bigger than my original plan. After Tom looked at the pictures of my home (and staircase), we decided to wait for another piano to become available. There was a little bit of time that went by where I didn't think we were going to find it, and then... the call came. Tom found the most beautiful Yamaha, ebony, baby grand that plays incredibly! My husband was completely surprised and has loved at (1) having a baby grand piano delivered in his home without him there, (2) that I stayed within my designated "muahahaha" budget, and (3) that we found such an incredible person to work with. The piano delivery service was also excellent! Such care, such professionalism, and physical strength too. It's been four and one-half months and my home has been filled with music ever since. Like most folks, once I was ready to buy, I wasn't sure what piano to get. It's a sometimes-dizzying world out there, and while there are useful resources, like the Acoustic and Digital Piano Buyer guide, you really want a knowledgable professional to help you make your final decision. After all, it's a big investment. And I do mean investment. My purchase at Jason's Music Center has paid me and my family back many fold. Certainly, the biggest benefit has been the joy of listening to the rich warmth of the sounds of our grand piano as our children learned to play, but also (and not unimportantly) the increase in its value over time. The multi-generational family of piano specialists at Jason's have become part of our family, too, and I know you'll love them if you give them a try. And have you seen their new showroom? Amazing!

Are you looking for the best customer experience during your search for a piano? Hands down- Jason’s Music was the best experience out of several retailers I visited in the area. I was looking for a fair trade on my baby grand for an upright due to downsizing. The owner Steve introduced me to his manager Tom, who I found to be very pleasant. I shared photos of my piano with Tom and he was very knowledgeable about the brand and actually knew the designer. Tom seems to have an high level of knowledge about music in general. Tom showed me several uprights that would meet my needs and I selected a beautiful Yahama. I left feeling like I got a very good deal. The movers came a week later for pick up and delivery. The piano sits and sounds beautifully in our space. I highly recommend Jason’s Music. At the very least, Tom is a really good person to meet.
