I visited this store twice during my trip to the St. Louis area. Both times the sales personnel were friendly, helpful, and pretty knowledgeable. They weren't pushy nor lax in tending to me. I purchased a Muffuletta JHS stomp box my first visit and returned for a Gretsch a few days later. I knew the mojo was good in this place as it's on old Route 66, and sells Kurt Mangan strings. I'll definitely return when I'm in the area.

Great service every time we go in the store! We've purchased many items from you. And the last time we were in Josh took great care of us! I was able to get a bass I've been wanting for years, and he cleaned it, set up the strings, and gave us such excellent treatment. Great place to rent or buy an instrument. The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. Their prices were fair. The store was clean and had a nice selection of used orchestra instruments for my son to choose from. They offered great rental options as well as purchase options. The used Instruments have all been skillfully serviced by qualified technicians. Their website chat function was also helpful. Grateful for a quality local music shop like Ernie Williamson Music. I love this music store. I don't get in often, but when I do they're always friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to let me putter around and look at everything. They carry a good range of brands and always have a great stock of ukuleles. I've been a customer first at the Springfield location, and after moving to St. Louis, this location, and I have nothing but praise. Go check them out!

Follow up - I've been going there for months now and continue having the same experience. I also recently had one of my acoustics set up here and I'm really happy with the work that Daren, their guitar tech, did. A+! They have extremely friendly and helpful staff, as well as a wide selection of instruments and accessories. The store has an attractive layout (I'm talking to you, ukulele display) and affordable as well as higher end gear. I'll be choosing this store over Guitar Center going forward.

Very Friendly and helpful staff. My daughter got an audition tomorrow and she broke her viola pegs while practicing today. Took it to Ernie's just before the store close (its Sunday evening) and the staff helped fix it in a Jiffy. They didn't charge me for the repair work either. Never thought I could get it fixed so fast and easy. With their help, we are back on track for the audition. Had very good experience with Ernie in the past as well. You will receive a 5 Star experience here.

Bought a sweet Stratocaster guitar here. The guitar spoke to me. Felt fantastic in my hands, sounded fantastic. Played multiple until I found "the one". Can't do that on Amazon or other on-line places. You might know a particular guitar model, but it could end up a dud for you. Each guitar is different. Plus, Josh (great!) helped me set it up, adjusted the action. Amazon can't do that either. Overall, great place, great experience!

I needed a better acoustic guitar and and went to both Fazios and one of the box stores. The people at Fazios were super helpful and spent a lot of time with me. I am a beginner and needed someone to educate me. The really nice thing is that they make their guitars playable before putting them on the shelves. At the box store, I think they just take them out of the box and put them on the shelf which you then have to hope the manufacturer sets it up for playability. Try playing an F chord on an acoustic thats not set up very well. Not only are the people very helpful but they are priced competitively. In fact, they had more guitars in my price range than the box store.

I was looking for my dream guitar, I had narrowed it down to four guitars and when I found a store that did have one I was just blown away by these guitars not living up to the hype. I received a note on FB saying it had been 10 years since I bought my Seagull S6 from Fazio's. Its a bit of a drive for me but the other stores stock had been a let down. I had a check list in mind since I was investing a lot of money for my budget. The salesmen Patrick Stevenson took his time and offered a few suggestions and pros and cons on the guitars I mentioned. I told him my checklist and within three guitars I had found my dream guitar. I learned a great deal of information up front. Just excellent service. I’m a customer for life!

All I have to say is that the people are great and the service is even better. Some of the employees can sell you everything you need and nothing more, all of them are very experienced with guitars and basses however, they also sell violins, cellos, violas, saxophones and everything a middle or high school choir, orchestra, or band could ever need.

We wanted to get our 6-year-old guitar lessons. I called on a Thursday and his first lesson was that Saturday. We went in an hour prior to his lesson time and they set him up with an acoustic guitar, stand, picks, and tuner. Very friendly staff and Ben works well with our kiddo! 3 of the workers are amazing. Some of them sometimes feel like they want me to leave. Quality of product can be very low quality. All guitar stores struggle with this though. Just make sure when you buy a guitar that everything looks and feels right. They have great customer service when it comes to fixing issues on their part. But a great guitar pedal selection!!

They seem to have really good relationships with the manufacturers too, because if they don’t have it, they’re better than the Internet at getting it, provided that “it” is an instrument or piece of musical gear. I was also told by an employee that he would die for me in a reverb.com review, which is a little weird, but also a valuable service.

With big box stores and online offerings all over the place, it's nice to be able to take 5-10 minutes and physically go to a store. What Fazio's lacks in quantity they make up for in quality. I've not made any large purchases here, mainly just accessories, but I have had a bit of work done to a guitar and would certainly do it again if necessary.

Very down-to-earth, friendly staff that's always available to answer questions, or happy to arrange some quality 'alone time' with an instrument, or other item, that you may be just exploring, or slowly falling in love with. With so many working musicians on staff, there's no shortage of solid guidance on the wide selection of gear and accessories they stock. I had shopped at fazios for a number of years to get miscellaneous items and parts. I recently decided it was time to purchase a new guitar and I always enjoyed my experience at Fazios. When I went in a shopped around Ian really took the time to get my info and lock in on what I was looking for. Something else that I love is that despite there being no LTD guitars in stock at the time I purchased, shortly after inquiring they had stocked 4 or 5 LTD's. These guys really do listen to the public that they service!

I’ve bought multiple high-end guitars from them and gotten work done on guitars I own, and they have done an excellent job of handling everything. I love Fazios. I take lessons there. The instructor is patient and awesome and in five weeks I've learned to play five tunes and some chords! I have purchased two guitars there and they have lay a way which is nice in these time. Definately worth the time to enjoy the store and peruse and learn. If they added a small cafe people would want to stay even longer! But if you use lay a way be clear on the details as there is a restock penalty?

My son chose band for his sixth grade elective. The school suggested using Fazio's Music store for instrument rental. I called and spoke to a very friendly woman named Denise. I was calling on rental info and mentioned I wouldn't make it out to the music store till the weekend due to a hectic work schedule and three kids at home. She then mentioned she could deliver the instrument to me to save me a trip to the music store. We wrapped up the transaction over the phone and picked a meeting place, which was really convenient for me. She had the instrument, travel case, book, and instrument cleaning supplies. Everything was perfect, one little glitch was the instrumental book was not what the district required. She assured me she will look to see if she had the correct book in stock and would touch base with me. The following day she did contact me and she had the right book in stock. She mentioned that her husband, (manager of Fazio's), was making a trip to my son's school within the next few days and offered to drop off the book with my son's band teacher to save me a trip to the store. I was so surprised. Being a working full time mom with three busy children, I was more than happy to take her up on the offer. I was so impressed by her generosity! I believe she went above and beyond for me and I was so grateful for her help! I highly recommend Fazio's Music and definitely be a returning customer! Thank you Denise!

Mike is generally awesome. The setup took two weeks longer than I had been told and never got a call, just an email so I didn't realize it had been completed, but I get that they're swamped with backlogs with everything going on. Would have appreciated a phone call, but the staff is amazing so it's kosher. I don't know the name of the guy who convinced me on the guitar I bought (younger dude with a long blonde beard), but I recognize Mike by now and he's been helpful for every situation or question I've come in with. The dudes here are great and they'll straight up tell you what you will and won't like about any given instrument. Definitely noob friendly and I haven't once looked back on the guitar I bought from them. Only note I could give is I wish they carried some higher end stock. You can feel that they're catering to the midrange crowd. Not even any epiphones and absolutely no orange amps. You can really find some quality used gems here, though, at a very fair price. I'll always remember when I was trying out pedals and asked to test out the phase 90 after testing some others and Mike just smiled with nod saying "oh yeah, you'll love that one" and heck yeah I did. Mike will get you the tone you're after. As a noob buying a first guitar, I never felt like they were up-selling me and they really gave me the information to understand what I was buying as far as what I would and wouldn't like about any given feature.

Mostly focused on their selection of acoustic guitars, specializing in Taylor's, I did notice that they a wide variety of other instruments. After beginning on a nice entry level acoustic guitar, I wanted to step up to a guitar that I would enjoy for years. I had a rough idea of what I wanted but wasnt spooled up on the Taylor brand. The staff was very helpful and let me check out their full line of guitars. I picked a Taylor 214ce because of the nice deeper tone and I liked the way it felt and looked. The Taylor line is a little pricey as it is American made and of good make. Long story short, the guitar I really wanted was the 314ce. Dan and his crew was very patient with my indecisions to the point of above and beyond. Bottom line, if you're buying the guitar to last your needs for a long time, ante up the money.

The staff here is extremely knowledgeable. Most of them have been there a long time, and will take the time to make sure you are making a good choice and getting what you need. Friday morning I called and spoke with Nick about a Breedlove Pursuit Cedar Concert CE that I wanted to see. I mentioned concern about the action and he agreed to lower it before I came. I wanted to buy something for a gig that evening and wanted to make sure it would hold its tuning and he confirmed it would (which it did). In addition, I wanted to trade in my guitar and he said to bring it with me and they would check it out. When I arrived, Nick was waiting for me. He had the guitar ready, let me borrow a music stand, and gave me space and time in the guitar room (without intruding or trying to sell me). He answered all of my questions and offered a fair price on my guitar. When I needed to get back to work quickly, and both checkouts were busy, Nick took me back to another area so that I wouldn't be delayed. These guys are amazing! I came in with a six string banjo I bought from them about 2 months ago. One of their employees greeted me when I came in and helped me for probably 30 minutes. He helped me find new strings, and a strap. After I checked out, he restrung the whole thing for free, adjusted the bridge and adjusted the neck to help it sound better. Again, he did about $30 of work on a complicated instrument, for free, while cutting into his lunch break. Super cool guys, very friendly, and very knowledgeable. If you need music help,go to them!

I recently purchased a Deluxe Player Series HSH Strat online from Mike at Fazios. You cannot ask for better customer service. Purchased Roadworn tele and Taylor 210e. Guitars are never set-up for the user so I had to get them home after quick store adjustment, strings of choice, etc. Performed light nut sweep on Taylor strings 4,5 and 6 with appropriate files (1-3 sweeps guys, we're not chopping down a redwood) and lightly sanded the bottom of the saddle for a slightly lower action. I adjusted the truss (loosened) on both guitars slightly to decrease neck strain and increase string flexibility, maybe 1/8th of a turn on each guitar. The Taylor has superb midrange and is well represened in the bass and high-end. Electronics are fine and for the price, this acoustic can't be beat. I lowered the strings on the tele and leveled them and all notes are audible, including Albert King, Bloomfield, SRV bending. Pickups sound great with a nice balance of growl from neck HB to the Buke-like bridge pickup which may well break glass. Super visit, great staff and I am quite pleased with both of these fine instruments. I've been at this over 40 years and should have went to Fazio's sooner. If money allows, I will return.
