I love Guitar Center. The staff are always so helpful and friendly. The only complaint I have is that they desperately need more floor space. It is SO cluttered. I'm a drummer, and you frequently can't even get around the drum room to look at anything. Awesome store, but those poor staff need to get some more room!

We bought my son's first guitar here. They were very helpful and got us to a decent choice at a reasonable price. We bought the warranty and thank God we did. The guitar head just randomly snapped while in the case. Replaced and back to practicing within 5-6 days.

Ron John and Renton were the absolute best when it came time to trade in a couple of my guitars. The selection is bar none for the Sioux Falls area and the prices and customer service are unbeatable. These guys are the best and you won’t find a better experience within 200 miles of here. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

I’ve been to GC’s all over the US, this store is awesome. I’ve been in town working for the last few months, this place cured my boredom. They have a really nice selection to keep me busy. Every time I came in, I ended up having a good conversation with an employee, and I’ve talked to every employee and they are all top notch.

I eenjoyed my visit. The management was friendly and knowledgeable. I had questions I would have liked answered. They had a great selection. I would have like to see an assembled drum kit set up for playing. I gave 3 stars for a youngest staff member. He came in at 10:00 on 11/13 said some very inappropriate things about working that day and cussed the day dropped to "F" bombs. It was discouraging for my 1st time in the store.

Well I walked in there and was greeted immediately by Matthew. I was asked why I was there and my needs were immediately addressed. He brought out a range of options for me to chose from and explained each one in detail. The customer service game was uber strong with this one, he was pleasant and explained things to me in a sharp and intelligent manner. He really hit it out of the park with me and I walked out of there with exactly what I wanted. This is the first visit I have ever made to this store and I feel like it's not going to be my last. I look forward to buying more s#it I don't need if Matthew is there. Truly everyone there was ready and willing to help, thanks so much my dudes, I will be back!

We shopped here on Black Friday and Matthew is a heck of a salesman. My husband got an electric drum kit because of him. Matthew was very informative on what the differences are with the more expensive options and gave great feedback on the one we ended up purchasing. We both love the drum kit and highly recommend asking for Matt when you visit this store!

I always have great conversations and learn a lot when I visit. The employees are knowledgeable and friendly, though keep in mind that limited techs in a busy environment means they can't always stay and chat; and sometimes you've got a bit of a wait. If you're looking to make friends and social/business connections in the music world, this is a great place to start too!

I’ve been to this guitar center 2 times bow and I have to say it’s a lot smaller then any other one I’ve been to before but it didn’t take away from the experience. The first time I was just checking it out and looking around and ended up having a nice conversation with one of the guys there who I think was that manager. The second time I needed my guitar fixed and I called in and the guitar tech was actually nice enough to fit me into his schedule for a walk in, he took the guitar apart and tested it while talking to me and shows me what was actually wrong. He had it all done in about 20 mins and I was just so impressed. We had a great conversation and I’m happy to say this is probably my favorite guitar center I’ve been to yet! Thanks guys

We were cheerfully greeted after walking in, and the experience with the staff remained positive. The man who helped us was helpful to the point of getting on the floor to get drumstick packs for my son to examine. The store was neat and displayed well but seemed tight to me. The drum room was extremely tight, and, after getting in a corner to look at something, I almost fell over a monitor getting out of the way of the salesman and my son. Even without the new drum set being unboxed, the corner room is too tight. They matched a online price from another store on drum heads for my son and gave him a additional dollar, which pleased him. Overall, good experience.

Employees are one 'type'. Helpful and pleasant, but when my father goes in there it would be nice to have someone his age that speaks ... older (wiser) tell him about the electronic keyboards? The knowledge base just wasn't there but they were all friendly.... Store set up was a little "squished" and chaotic feeling.

I came in looking for a new bass and was promptly helped by this awesome, super nice dude Tony. He helped me grab a couple basses to try out and I couldn’t believe the differences between how each of them played. I left with a new bass (excited out of my mind) and even came in a few days later to get the neck readjusted, which they helped me with right away, as well as answering about a hundred other questions I had about instrument maintenance. These are just a couple more reasons why buying local is such an awesome way to buy. Not only do you get to support the local community, but you get to deal with real people who actually care about you and want you to be happy with your purchase. If I had ordered a bass online, I would have no idea how it played until after I bought it and it was shipped to me PLUS I wouldn’t have been able to bring it back in and get it adjusted to where it plays exactly how I want it to play! Buy local folks, it’s a true win for everybody!

I just started learning and broke a string. When I walked in I was impressed by thier huge selection. Plus they were open till 9 PM on a Friday, Now that's convenience. The salesperson seemed busy finishing up what appeared to be financing on a 900 dollar guitar for another customer. I was politely told I would be helped in a Minute, as they were just finishing. The salesperson helped me with the same flourish that was showed with the much larger purchase. I am definitely using this store for all my guitar needs.

Very helpful staff but not pushy. A great selection to choose from including used items. One of my favorite things: a dedicated isolated room to try out acoustic guitars. A decent selection of all things Musical. Almost every staff member is a musician actively playing in a band. For this particular trip I needed a few audio cords and I knew they would have exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend this place.

Unbeatable customer service from the second you walk in the door to the time you walk out. They always take the time to help with any questions you have and never sound like salespeople while doing it and they go the extra step to get the answer if they don't already have it. (Rare) The sore Manger is top notch as well going out of his way to resolve an issue I had with a purchase and giving multiple solutions. Great job!!! Oh yeah. They also sell some great equipment at very reasonable prices but it's the crew at this location that set it apart. 5 stars all day.

My 15 year old bought his first guitar! First time I've ever walked into the store and I was very happy with the transaction. Tony met with us and shared his knowledge with us without being pushy or making us feel stupid. He took time to explain how things worked and how they were built and why it mattered. He didn't push a top end guitar on us and didn't hurry to sell us something cheap. The entire experience was enjoyable and left us wanting to go back again. Thanks!

I come from las vegas where we have a much larger guitar center and I can say for certain that I would rather come to this location any day. Their employees were extremely helpful even though I had quite a difficult issue regarding an order. Their employee Rambo went above and beyond to really make my experience one of the best I have ever had. For that, nothing but a five star rating is acceptable to me.

Went into the store to buy a chord to plug my computer into my sound board, and oh boy, did they guide me right to it. Not only that, but I was recommended to buy the best quality one, and the person just took it over to get checked out for me! After that, I was able to be signed up for some guitar. Won't deny, thought I was going to have a quick 3 minute stop, but the 10 minutes I spent in guitar center were for sure worth my while.

I recently bought a Ukulele from this store, and I am extremely pleased. The guy that helped me was very friendly, showed me exactly what I was looking for, and told me what I needed to know to make the decision. As an added bonus, there was a mix-up when buying a case for it, and they didn't have the one I bought on hand. Instead of just a refund, he gave me the option of having a slightly nicer one shipped to my house, at no extra cost. It even arrived earlier than expected. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Needed some cash wasn't using any of my DJ stuff anymore and they hooked it up.I would definitely work with them in the future. They gave me a little less than fair market value for my stuff but I didn't have to worry about getting it put online I didn't have to worry about putting it in a box and shipping it somewhere we're having some weirdo come look at my stuff or some scanner from Nigeria or wherever they're scamming people from they do all the work I get paid fair enough they're all very knowledgeable down there musicians music lovers and they've got way more than just buying and selling the music gear. If there's something going on with music they have somebody down there who can help whether it's finding where to take lessons or what kind of equipment there's enough talent and knowledge to get your pointed in the right direction thanks guys and gals at guitar center.

Everyone that I dealt with during my last visits to GC were super nice and helpful. They took the time to answer my questions and make sure I was taken care of, even when they were super busy and likely understaffed. Guitar Center gets a bad rap sometimes, (mostly on the corporate side) and sometimes deservingly so. This place is the exception though. But it’s the folks that work there that make it the exception.

I NEED to tell you guys how awesome everyone here is! My 5 year old is starting guitar lessons in a month, so it started out with just finding her a guitar. She fell in love with the hot pink Jackson dinky and I was all set to order it when to my sheer heartbreak, we found out it was a discontinued model. Normally that would be the end of it but no, not for these hero’s! Tony personally called several other stores and worked his hardest to find not only the guitar, but one in great condition because I was taking my daughter to the Halestorm concert and we were going to try to get the band to sign it. Well, all of Tony’s hard work paid off and we got the signature and everything looks great! Tony even found us a good hard case to keep it protected! These guys were miracle workers from day one, and EVERYONE I spoke to there was just as invested in getting my daughter what she wanted as I was! We love you guys and will DEFINITELY be back and recommend you!!

Went in to buy a Yamaha FG730s cherry color and a case for it but they didn't carry it in-store so they ordered it online. The next day I got a email saying the order was not processed so we stopped in to talk to them and they apologized and said they'd get it figured out but we said we decided to get the color they had in stock. We asked if they had a case about the same price as the one we found online and they said they would price match one that was quite a bit more expensive and when we were paying to the the stuff the guy once again apologized and gave us two sets of guitar strings for the trouble. We were very impressed with the service Guitar Center had and the employees there. We will definitively be going back they again very soon.

I purchased a Martin from Guitar Center six months ago. The guitar cracked and was under Martins warranty since it was store and humidified properly. I dropped it off and Bobby took awesome care of me after a glich in the repair process by giving me a brand new replacement. That is how you take care of a customer and keep them coming back for years to come! Great Job Bobby, you have what it takes!!!

I've been there 4 times in the last 2 months and between Andi, Matt, and John I've gotten all the equipment I've needed. A little light on classical sheet music selection, but its GUITAR center not a boutique piano shop. They al days have some crazy deal too if you look hard enough, they have some powdered PA speakers on sale right now that are so cheap its nigh criminal.

For those that have issues with anything here really, try going to the KCMO Guitar Center or Omaha's GC...hell, check out central Chicago's GC - it's not even staffed. The Sioux Falls location is by far the best GC I've ever been to - the employees actually make eye contact and engage you and there's not holes in the carpet or cracks in their guitars. They used to deal with you to bargain on used stuff but that's old school now, they all have to follow corporate procedure based on how many days the instrument has been there. Still, they do the best they can. The selection isn't the best, in fact you won't find a guitar here that's over $2,000 and you won't find any classic relics, but they're not gonna knowingly sell you a broken drum set or a guitar with only one working pickup. Some GC's are shady, this one is definitely not. They're the only game in town for guitar players, bass players, and drummers now that Riff City/SFM is closed.
