I used to have two favourite record shops in the States. Rebel Rebel in New York which is sadly no more and Wall of Sound in Seattle. I have been coming over ,irregularly, from the UK to their emporium of records for some 15 years plus. It’s run by two partners and what I like is that their recommendation are always excellent but subtly different. One prefers a classical more funk bent where as the other prefers in my view the beauty of the lyrics. It is one of the best sites in Seattle and I hope exists for many more years.

This place is my favorite small vinyl shop. The selection isn’t overwhelming, and the owners know- the amount of times I’ve passed by this window and made a purchase is countless. This is an essential to the vinyl community of Seattle. Please never close. This is my safe haven. Half of my collection is from here at this point.

Interesting selection. Extremely small store. It’s one of those places where you’d randomly walk into and and pick something new that you’ve never listened to and you’ll probably find something good. A lil treat.

first class record store. fantastic selection and even better recommendations. you’ll know quickly if this place has music you like, and if they do, you’ve found a sanctuary!

My favorite record store in Seatte. Great selection of interesting music. Good used section. Great new releases. What he doesn't have in stock can be ordered. The clerks are gentlemen and really know their music. Support great local businesses like this one!

A non-pretentious welcoming environment with a great selection of not just main stream music. Truly hits all genre levels and is super friendly to all levels of collecting.
One of the best shops I have been to. I travel often and hit a record shop I every town. This is by far in my top 5.
A must stop!

Great little and famous record shop with knowledgeable employees. The man working when I visited helped me find a local band cassette tape that he thought I would enjoy, and told me about his band as well. Ask them for music recommendations!

My bottom-dollar pick for the best record store in Seattle. Jeffrey and Michael, the owners, are bottomlessly knowledgable, generous with their time, and eager to share their love. (They've pointed me to many artists I now treasure, and helped me track down countless records I couldn't find elsewhere.) Do not miss Wall of Sound.

Jeffrey and Michael love music. This place is here to share their love of the cultural and human phenomenon of music - the celebration of humanity and history that is our civilization and our individual experience.
Wall of Sound is here to brighten your life.
Every visit, I find new and unique sounds. A wonderful record store. Truly a gem.

This might be Seattle's most unusual record store. It's small, but has a really interesting selection, including a ton of stuff you'll never see anywhere else. Not the place to go for your Fleetwood Mac reissues, perhaps, but if you want the rare and obscure, it might be here. I've found obscure soul here, some great Latin and Afropop, exotica, and I know he's got some outre metal and industrial records here. Half the people shopping next to you are DJs, if that tells you anything. I love this place.
