I've never been here but I ordered a used item from this location online. The manager Nicholas emailed me that the item was missing its 16v power cable which made me realize the device would be useless to me even with a cable because I was going to try to power it with a 12v outlet. He cancelled the order and got me a comparable item I requested from another store sent to my house with free shipping to make up for it and a refund for the remaining amount I paid. Saved me so much time, if he just shipped it I would have had to go return it anyway. Many Guitar centers have sent me used items with no cable before so it's going above and beyond that Nicholas even emailed me in the first place. Best customer service ever and clearly they know their stuff!

Good store with knowledgeable employees. They will try to upsell you, but that isn't an issue if you are clear with your budget. I didn't do my research and ended up paying $70 for a gig bag, which is frustrating (and ridiculously overpriced). Definitely come in here knowing how much you want to spend and what things should cost (roughly). If you are totally clueless, I would suggest Emerald City Guitars

Pretty much everything you need for a funky little home studio. Stock changes but they have a decent selection of all your basics. People are friendly enough. Seem to be genuinely helpful but I didn't ask for much. Walked out with a new guitar and some cables. Prices are what youd expect for any instrument that works. I'll go back when I need some kinda dumb pedal to make my guitar go whoosh or some junk. Uh, 4 stars cause. Uh. Meh. It's alright. Go get a thing for the musician in your life.

Nice guitar selection of guitars for a smaller GC. Some nice used gear at reasonable prices as well. However, they always seem to be out of the PA gear I have been looking for and I end up buying online. I overheard the guitar tech talking repairs today too, and he seemed very knowledgeable. Good service, including helping me with enter/exit with a disability. They have a wheelchair lift, but its somewhat a poor design since the entrance is only 4 steps. I find its easier to hop down the stairs with my one leg than use the ADA lift... it's kind of a PITA.

in repairs: for me, Tyler executed a stellar refret, leveling a well loved and dug out fretboard,. frets are as smooth as they were 30 years ago from Gibson. he literally resurrected my L-00. it is a truth to say that I was undercharged for Tyler’s ability of craft; I’m all done at 349.00!

Loved the sound proof drum room and wall of electronic pianos and synthesizers, and the fact that they were open despite covid. The store appears to be super clean. Lots of staff to try to help you navigate through their vast array of choices. Nearly too many to decide. Though rushed I have no buyers regrets. I got a sweet deal and something that is much more than I expected. Cant wait to go back

Big dealer of musical equipment. The selection is second to none, the security of buying through a big company is always honored here. The sales people are great but pitted against each other to make commissions, so not their fault they have to focus on sales. Otherwise, staff is generally knowledgable and can help you find your way. Do not expect any 'great' deals but consistently the best price in town at retail. Also expect to get low balled if you trade in equipment.

Don’t beat around the bush, if you go to this location go to directly to Caitlyn! Went in one day blindly looking for an amp not really knowing what i was looking for and she found the perfect match! she brought out some stuff from the back and also was ripping open boxes of brand new stuff so i could test it out! left very satisfied and if i ever need help here again i’m going right to her! 5 stars for you Caitlyn!

Mostly a typical big box music equipment store, and occasionally a hard to find piece of used gear for a good price. Convenient to have in the neighborhood rather than downtown when you need a cable or something.

I'm only giving this place 4 stars because every other time I go here an associate is rude or condescending to me. I always try to get my stuff shipped to me at this point to avoid going into the store and just being disappointed. I do like the different choices they have and the fact they have a better location with an ample amount of parking.

Great, but they didn't have a pedal section like they've had in the past! I went in to ask the pedal employees to check out a pedal from my own collection and couldn't. Also, they had a HUGE selection of Fenders and Gibsons, but outside of huge names like them, the selection was quite limited (not many Gretch, or PRS). I'm sure it'll get better as they settle into the new location. I'll be back to check it out.

I've taken a bunch of music lessons with Maddie, and I'm here to say, she is an incredible teacher. I have been especially blown away by the insight, empathy, and practical advice she has been able to provide with regard to overcoming vocal dysfunction. What a gem GC has at this location!

I bought a Schecter Synyster Gates Standard online. I was contacted by Jesse to make sure I was ok with an out of box model. A few days later I was having second thoughts about it and called to see if I could cancel and just wait for a new one to be shipped in. Anthony could not have been nicer when I called. He totally understood my reservations and reassured me that it was in good shape. Then he knocked some dollars off the price because it had been on the floor. Ben brought me my guitar when I picked it up curbside and was also very nice. Great experience all around and the guitar is fantastic. Thank you!!!!

Really friendly staff. Came in looking for a hard guitar case for a flight, and two team members walked me through pricing, pros and cons of a hard versus soft case, guitar dimensions, etc. didn’t end up buying anything but very knowledgeable folks at the Udistrict location. Removing a star because guitar center is pricy compared to some other places.

It's pretty much exactly what you expect, except with a reasonable selection of used instruments which was a surprise to me. There was definitely more pressure to know what we were shopping for than I have felt at other locations in the past, but I also understand that it may have been that "just browsing" isn't so acceptable in a pandemic even as it's winding down.

This place has far more items in stock vs. the South Center location (which is kinda a sht hole). Customer service is always lacking and at a snail's pace... but that's pretty much with and G.C. ... If you want to sample any of the DJ controllers, be prepared for a lame excuse for not being able to unlock their MacBook to let you sample the controllers... potential sales lost... oh well. I'll stick with my 1200s :)

I like this Guitar Center. I find the sales people help you get the instrument you want to try, will help you get plugged in with the amp you want and then don't bug you too much - let you play, switch amps, etc. I also find them to be helpful with info if you have a question but also willing to say they don't know something. Overall I like shopping here and I've bought a few items including a used guitar. It's a nice addition to the neighborhood, and way better than hauling down to south Lake Union.

Bought a cool little Acoustic Guitar Kit for less than $200...it sounds really good...came with a tuner, yay, a carry bag, picks...when the original strings went dead, I took it to their tech guy who made a knowledgeable recommendation geared toward the music I play...I got it back quick and WOW...now it sounds really good...great Sales and Customer Service, Thanks!

i wouldnt touch any of the guitarz without a good wipe down first they were pretty greasy the $6000 gibsonz on display were covered in greasy finger prints so beware take care and rock out!!!! plus im kinda mad they sent my guitar to wrong address and only god and the person who stole it knows where it is now....

Difficult to find the "front" door. Entrance is around back. There is parking around back too. I found this out AFTER I parallel parked on the street according to the address.

The store layout could be a little better (like putting the Audio Interfaces next to the pedals) but overall the employees there are nice and the support is also nice, they also have drums there and they allow you to play on any of the guitars or drums there.

Anything and everything you could possibly need for instrument related stuff, but it's almost sensory overload. Plus, the day I came by to get some strings and a guitar tuner, the guy behind the desk just pointed to the area where the guitar tuners were and said 'there over in that area'... that was the extent of the customer service given. Not super impressed, but there aren't also a lot of options for other places to go.

This is an amazing organization and store concept. Their customer service levels are right up there in the 9 to 10 range. Everyone knows their product and is likely individually skilled in the product as well. In my case I purchased a used acoustic that I noted a few issues with. I called the customer service number explain the situation that I had it shipped to me they suggested that I bring it to a local store let them look at it and report back what the resolution would be. I cannot say enough about how true they speak to their customer satisfaction goal which is if I'm not satisfied they're not satisfied. So now I own two used left-handed acoustics and both of them are up to Snuff.

Let's be honest. Dont come here if you dont feel like spending more than you were planning to. It's not that the prices are too high...it's because they have so many cool things you're just going to end up buying way more than what you had in mind walking in the door. Lighting rigs, mics, mixers, midi controllers, dont even get me started on the drum kits, synths ...oh and I think they even sell guitars...maybe.

I have occasionally had difficult experiences at Guitar Center being a female musician e.g. sometimes male staff members have "talked down" to me. THIS GUITAR CENTER IS GREAT! The personnel are friendly and non-pushy, respectful, professional and helpful. What a pleasant surprise! I really appreciate that. Also, the showroom is clean and very well-stocked. I am not afraid to go back there.

Of course GC is a staple, I'm glad they didn't move far. Easy to find the new location and park. The new spot has some weird arrangements, including putting nice guitars on clearance fourteen feet in the air above the doorway to the synthesizers, but overall it's your same ole' guitar center.
