A must stop store if you are ever in SLC and love metal. Heck, even if you don't! This small store is full of music, shirts, hats and all kids of cool items. The owner is awesome. Super glad I had the chance of stopping by and buying a couple of things. I repeat, this is a must stop if you are ever in SLC!

The Heavy Metal shop in itself is a true rock icon sought out by bands and musicians everywhere...and the owner is friendly and very down to Earth on top of it all. Tiny shop packed full of t-shirt and sweatshirt options beanies and hats . owner is super friendly as are his little pups.we bought sweatshirts they are high quality and very warm.glad we finally were able to get over there.

I met the owner. He's definitely what I would classify as "a good guy." He is down-to-earth and easy going. It's always great to support local stores anytime. When you can do that and the service is great and the owner is also, you not only leave with a purchase for getting something you wanted but also you feel good for helping the local community and you get to root for the business's success because the owner deserves it.

This place rocks, Kevin the owner is a great guy and will help you out with your music or you have a wide array of his clothing line. The Heavy Metal Shop clothing, the most coveted would be the hoodies, pull over or front zip. You have womens t-shirts and other items, kid sizes, and onsies for the baby. Rock on and get in there to get your own hoodie and/or hats and support local businesses. Oh and occasionally there are free concerts with bands that are coming to town to play

Kevin, you have made my trip to Utah, completely worth it. This shop was a dream! Had everything I wanted/did not know I wanted. Picked up a Burzum shirt, a magazine ft. I have family here in SLC that I come to visit from Tucson, AZ. This shop is my MUST stop each and every time I’m here. Kevin is always happy to see people and especially those metalheads from out of town. He’s one of the few remaining local shops doing this kind of awesome business and he’s definitely worth a visit.

Love the Heavy Metal Shop and why wouldnt I. They helped me make my parents crazy and angry with all fantastic music I collected there during the mid 90s. They have a plethora of dope heavy metal Tshirts, collectibles and vinyls. What are vinyls? They are records. What are records? Never mind go ask your parents or that uncle that lives in a van behind your house that smells of skunks. Anyway I stopped bye there a few weeks ago and I hadn't been to this location before and it still rocks. I'm not the XL size teen anymore, but I was happy to find out they have the classic Heavy Metal Shop Tshirt up to size 5xl which I'm sure I will need before life is over. If it's too loud? You're too old. Support your local record shops.

You know how there is a National Park in Utah called 'This is the place' , well The Heavy Metal Shop is MOST definitely the place to go. Like a lot of individuals, this shop is Unique, there is only one. The owner has been open and ' Peddlin Evil Since 1987' He knows a lot and not just about music, probably one of the nicest, genuine, heart of gold havin man I've ever had the privilege of meeting and knowing.
