I picked up my violin after not playing for several years and found my E string's peg was stuck. I've had this violin for 12 years and was not about to break it. Robert's musical instruments answered the phone and told me to come down. Within 10 minutes, the problem was fixed, my violin was tuned and given a cleaning. When I insisted on paying they insisted that since nothing needed to be changed they wouldn't accept my money but when the strings needed to be changed then I could come back and they'd change them for me. While I live here, anything that I need help with my violin for I will be going to Robert's. Thanks for the excellent customer service and instrument knowledge!

I began learning the saxophone at age 15 when my brother picked up a Tenor and left me his student Alto Sax. After nearly a decade of playing horns I am glad to say that Robert’s Musical Instruments has always been, and will hopefully always be, my primary music shop. The staff has always treated my family and I with the utmost respect. Although they may occasionally come off as curt, it is never with ill intent. Odds are they’re just being direct about the quality/condition of your instrument or trying to understand your needs in a timely manner. They will let you test play all easily accessible parts and follow it with thorough cleaning. The staff will periodically check on you to see what you think and provide more suggestions based on your thoughts and commentary. If you’re lucky you’ll get a nice 3 minute chat with them, too. Robert’s musical instruments will always be my number one recommendation to all new and experienced musicians looking for a good horn shop/repair center. Thank you for being the best in Rhode Island!

After being disappointed at guitar center I took a ride up the street to Robert's music and I was very satisfied with the service and they had the amp that I wanted and I was very pleased that the sales lady was very professional and very helpful and answered all my questions. it's so nice to see that there are some good mom and pop stores out there that are hanging on because this really is truly a really nice little music shop where you can actually take all kinds of music lessons. The electric guitar inventory isn't great but they can always find what you're looking for. I highly recommend Robert's music store for all your musical needs and even instrument repair. I find myself extremely lucky for finding this great little music shop!

I bring all my woodwinds to Roberts to be repaired. They take great care of my vintage horns as well as my newer ones. The best prices for top quality work. There are some shops closer to me but I take the drive to west Warwick because they are fantastic!

Nothing but wonderful things to say about Robert's! My 9 yr old son has been obsessed with the group 2Cellos, and has been begging for lessons. The staff at Robert's has been more than willing to help me find a cello teacher, which is not an easy task. The day we picked up the instrument, they fit him for his size and gave him a quick run-down. Then we had a great time finding music books for his sisters who play flute, oboe and clarinet. Great selection of music, instruments, really anything you need. The shop was much bigger than I expected and has lesson rooms on site. Wish we lived closer but was very worth the 45 minute drive!

This place is great. My son needed an instrument and they had us in ave out in no time. The fact that you can make monthly payments is a plus seeing that instruments are so expensive. This is a must if you need an instrument!!!!

A little more pricey compared to the chains such as guitar center. Excellent repair on site for flute, clarinet and other instruments. They have good lessons for almost all musical instruments. We use them a lot. Friendly people.

Went to buy a Capo for my new guitar (a black Yamaha APX-600 acoustic electric). The staff at Robert's treated me with the same level of courtesy and respect as they did when I purchased my new guitar from them. I always feel welcomed in their store. Stellar service, great products, least expensive prices (comparable to Amazon). If you're like me and want to try before you buy, go to Robert's.

I brought 3 Saxophones to Roberts music this week.When I walked in I was immediately greeted by the store owner Rob. I told him what I needed and he brought me into the service department and introduced me to Dean. The tenor sax in particular was getting difficult to blow and the Alto and Soprano hadn’t been looked at by a Tech for quite some time.I Was absolutely amazed at the professional level of service that I received at Roberts. Dean The service technician that worked on my horns is the best you could ever expect. His experience and knowledge is unsurpassed. Dean immediately looked at my horns and quickly summarized just what would be needed to bring them back up to perfect playing condition. The service was finished quickly and the cost was extremely reasonable.This is the reason why professional musicians as well as students of all levels bring their musical instruments to Roberts.If you are in need of any service wether it is a complete overhaul or a minor tweak this is the shop to visit.

One largest and best selections of Ukeleles in New England, with instruments from beginners to advanced. The range of intermediate level Ukes is astoundly good. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, patient to questions, and helpful. The have a wide selection of other instruments too, but ukes are my thing. This is the first place I tell people to go, when ask me about my own Ukeleles. I purchased my own favorite uke from Roberts Music and will likely buy another soon.

selection could be better but it's a small store, they can't carry everything ever invented. they've always been nice to me & have fixed my instrument well. they've stopped other repairs to fix mine instantly when i needed it done for a performance the next day (i wouldn't ask for that kind of rush if it wasn't under those circumstances).

Robert's is wonderful. I recently acquired a violin and wanted to learn how to play. I brought it into Robert's because I thought the bow needed to be rehaired. Ed assisted me and was so informative and helpful. I actually didn't need to get the bow rehaired after all, he was able to just trim off the damaged pieces. He spent a bunch of time with me showing me positioning and gave me, a novice, lots of great information. Robert's is top quality, they really care about their customers.

Reviewed during Covid-19 outbreak: Traveled to Guitar Center, Empire Guitar, Dan's Music, and Ross's Instruments to look for a new guitar before trying Robert's on Quaker Lane. All but Robert's were either closed or did not allow in-store shopping--despite advertising otherwise. The staff at Robert's were both courteous and knowledgeable. They welcomed in-store browsing and more important they were very professional. Robert's will be my first choice for music needs. Conversely, the staff at Guitar Center were rude and unaccommodating.

So my 6 m.o daughter threw up in her carseat, I pull into this plaza and every store told me no, I couldn't use the lav and clean up my baby. The vet, the Chinese nail salon, the tanning place. But the guy with tattoos and piercing let me here. 5/5 would clean another child here.
