Honestly just your one-stop-shop for everything media you could possibly want. If you're bored and looking for something to do, this is a great spot to cool down and kill some time. Right now they have tons of spooky stuff for Halloween, knickknacks, movies, games, everything you could think of. Picked up a ton of Blu Rays for the Halloween season (8 blu rays, 3 of which were collection packs), 3 packs of incense, and a small patch for less than $150. YOU. CAN'T. BEAT. IT. ❤️❤️👌

I like this zia records but they might need security,, some fu just stole the pokemon binder before I got to look at it smfh but I did buy some new pokemon packs n some Nintendo 64 games!!!

A+A+, I love Zia Records. There are several locations and not all of them have the same things in stock. I usually go to either this store or the one on Gilbert. And if I'm in Tucson, I stop by there too. They have everything from CDs to DVDs to Books to Collectibles. If you can't find what you're looking for at one of their locations, have them check their inventory and it might be at another location.

Great store. Not just for music, but random nik naks and even clothing. The staff may seem a little rough around the edges, but never judge a book by it's cover. Most of the staff I have talked to have been really kind and knowledgeable. I need to go back!

I've been a customer of zias for a long time. I've taken so many people there. They love it as well. Customer service is amazing and so friendly. I would highly recommend it. Plus it's a great place to find Christmas gifts and some childhood memories. All of the store are great. Keep up the good work zias. Support local business.

I've been going here for years and it's an absolute joy every time. Regardless of if you leave with something or not, you always have a good time looking at every Zia Records has to offer. Records, CDs, players, movies, video games, action figures, general merch, books, manga, and toys? This place is a fantastic place for everyone regardless of age and the workers are very nice :)

You can find a multitude of musical genres here along with toys, comics,movie, and collectibles. They also trade and buy items you wanna get rid of as well. I only visited for a few minutes and didn't get to check everything but I'll definitely be back again because they have a lot of Funko pops.

Haven't been to a Zia's in years but it was nice to browse around and look at all the record album art and all the new and old music out there. Almost makes me want to go out and buy a record player. They have CD's also but I still have a couple of those laying around.

Musical instruments, books, videos, collectibles...You could easily spend and hour just looking at the merchandise. It is also open late, so instead of dinner and a movie, grab something to eat and then stop by to find a treasure for yourself or a gift for that special someone in your life. They even have a frequent shopper's card called a Z-Card. Use your Z-Card to earn points for special discounts.

Went to Zia Records just to kill time in the afternoon. Was looking for Rick and Morty merchandise for my nephews birthday. Found some cool Rick and Morty stuff and up until then my experience was great. Until I got to the check out some old dude with a white t-shirt, white hair and glasses, who was in some sort of crazy rush to get me out of the store. I was still looking at the pins glass case and looking to buy a few pins from the case too. Mean while this old dude was kicking me out the door. Now, I like coming here, but Zia come on! Tell the "OK, Boomer" dude to lighten up. Gees!!! I'll be back. Boomer or not. Love Zias and the cool stuff here and the OTHER friendly employees.

I would say this is one of the larger zia records stores. The staff is beyond helpful and so engaging in whatever it is your looking for. The store is very clean, shelves are nicely organized and stocked well. Give yourself time to look around. And check the end caps as you'll find suggestions from the staff to either remind you of stuff you grew up on or a new item to take home.

Awesome place to get old stuff. VHS tapes, cassettes, toys, CD's, records, t-shirts, etc. Anything for that nostalgic feel. I bought a GameCube there recently. What a gem! They had MegaMan cereal which was super cool!

Staff is wonderful and helpful. Everything is extremely well organized and it is always easy to find what you are looking for. Items are fairly priced and I have even found deals here better than anywhere else. This is my favorite place to come when I want to treat myself with a little gift.

I love both this location and also the Mill location. They have so many rare, vintage items that get harder to find with time so I love peeking my head in the store often to see what new items they had come in since my last visit. Prices are great and seems like everyone in the store says hi to me and greets me on the way in and out. Mike, the media expert has been so cool to me whenever I come in and I'm just a huge fan on both Zia and this particular store. As long as Zia exists, I'm a customer!

This was my 1st time at this location! I mainly go to the one in Tucson because I live down there, but I decided to check it out when I drove up to Phoenix, and my God I love it there!! First off, this location is massive!! They have a large variety of books, movies, and of course music, which I gotca bunch of each. Plus, the cashier I was talking to was very nice and very helpful. My only issue was I wish they had a large amount of video games in terms of current gen games, but that's honestly a nitpick cuz they still have a large variety. This is my favorite location up in Phoenix, and I'll definitely go up there whenever I have a chance!!

Every Zia I've been to is a different experience. They all carry the same genre's of items, but they differ in their stock. This particular location has many cool collectibles, fun employees, and the set up of the store is organized and spacious. It is my favorite location out of the few I've been to. If you are in this area, its the type of place you SHOULD stop at.

I absolutely love coming here. I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s such a neat environment. I can’t really describe it. There’s lots of nerd things, music things, books- there’s a little something for everyone. They have a great collection of common and rate items, you may find what you're looking for without even knowing. They're still a record store though, and they take great pride and care in that. I think the trade in pay is fair, considering I would not make any money keeping movies, games and other items in my garage. Zia's is fun to shop at, at any of their locations. There's great finds in books, movies and vinyl. Sometimes their prices are a little much but overall there's great buys AND it's supporting local! They have a good points system for regular customers as well as special days with great deals. It's fun and funky and there's even something for everyone in the family!

I've always liked Zia. Their prices aren't too bad on used items and they're always in great condition. However the amount they offer for selling items has significantly decreased throughout the years. Which would make sense with their lower prices however they still markup quite a bit. For instance, i recently had 15 Bluray/DVD combos they offered $32 in trade or $23 in cash. Wasn't worth it. I will sell online myself.

I went in to sell some used game system accessories & the process was outlined as to what I could expect; & without any obligation. I can usually find what I'm looking for at this store. It's well organized and the staff has a great understanding of their inventory. If i can't find what I'm looking for the staff will find it at another store and have it shipped to their store, no extra cost. After the transaction they give you a puzzle piece to place in a container of your choice to donate to a worthy cause. Love it!

This location of Zia would have received 5 stars . I love checking all the retro albums and they have an excellent selection and I've found an 80's relic stereo in there that's awesome. The gentalman at the back went above and beyond to get the price right and also had a great knowledge in Turntables.. That alone won me ... It was when I checked out that a member of there team was a bit , for less words RUDE.. and helped ruin the experience as a whole... I can't let one seed ruin the whole 🍎 apple... For whatever reason he was not having a good day. I understand that not everyone is always in a perfect mood .. but I am also sure that the behavior he exemplified had an effect on not just myself but several other customers as well. Other than that . My experience was good . Every chain , needs all links ... Or the bike doesn't work.........

Always enjoy a stop at Zia's. One of the few remaining record stores around. I left with lots of new music, books, and movies. This store is quite a bit smaller than some of the other locations but really good staff to help you find new treasures. The music selection was just a bit smaller but I don't consider myself an average shopper. Zia is always worth a visit even the smaller stores.

This place has great memorabilia. We bought a little too much here. The cashier gave us some coupons for our next visit since we spent so much. Everyone was very friendly. Someone set off the alarm while we were leaving because they got too close to the sensors. That was awkward because they had to check us after we walked out. We spent a ton of money....hundreds....it would have been weird if we actually stole something. I felt like a criminal at that point but I understand that they have their policies for a reason. Once they realized It wasn't us, everything was good. They should wall off their sensors so this doesn't happen in the future. This could be prevented. Everything else was great though.

Let me say this... I LOVE ZIA RECORD EXCHANGE!!! Every single one of their stores are fantastic! My two favorites are the Gilbert Rd store in Mesa and the Thunderbird store in Phoenix. (I occasionally tour them all!) They offer the overall best selection, the best prices, the most knowledgeable and helpful support staff, and it all makes for a truly fulfilling and excellent experience. Let me also say this: (imagine bold letters, here) when trading in used music and/or video (or whatever), DO NOT expect to walk out of there with full market cash value in your hand when you're done. That would be stupid because they would then have to mark up the resale pricing so badly that nobody would buy anything! (Asylum Records does that, and I'll never shop there again.) It's basic economics, people. The buyers are very fair, I can assure you. So that said, I would just like to say one last thing...I LOVE ZIA RECORD EXCHANGE!!!!! Thank you, thank you very much.

Went there to sell CD'S and found out they also buy books. I had a box of books with me took them in and they bought them ALL including all the CD'S I had with me! Didn't take long very fast and pays better then Bookmans. Definitely more informative on what they are wanting and looking for. GREAT PLACE !!!! Taking my business there.

I mostly go there for the vinyl records, the selection is great but enormous and can be a bit overwhelming the first time you go in looking for something but once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy. If anything else ask one of the employees and I'm sure they would be glad to help like they helped me find what I was looking for

Sometimes there offers for your used vinyl is a little low.Be sure you look up your record value on line before selling to them.Cant say I haven't got great deals on buying vinyl from them .Selection is limited at times on used records i understand and thats part of the fun.But will say they have the best selection I've seen for new vinyl. They are very helpful.

Great place for those of us that still like to buy physical media like CD's, DVD, Blu-ray, video games, vinyl and more You find new and used stuff at good prices. Staff are friendly if you need help finding something. Places like this should give you a discount card if you can name that time because it's usually some obscure artist. Pro tip, always check the new arrivals section before you go to your desired department. Love old school record stores, there are only a few left out there.

I was not expecting the sheer number of albums available. There are also CDs, comics, books, DVDs / BluRays, etc..... But the vinyl is the main draw here. Bands are easy to find. I spent under $10 for a couple of 80's era albums. Both are in good shape, no scratches. I would highly recommend this place, will be a return customer.

They have good selection on CD's and DVD's. My wife usually gets some incense from there also. The sales people have always been nice and even though there was a hipster ringing us up, he didn't take ten minutes to do it like the ones in Portland. So I'd have to say it was a good experience.

Glad places like this still exist. It's similar to Newbury Comics in New England but generally bigger with more music. The metal section is separate from rock which is huge, I hate having to find what I really want when it's mixed in with vaguely similar genres. They definitely get some unusual albums that until now I would have to import online.

I listen to a lot of older stuff, and Zia always seems to have exactly what I'm looking for. Their selection is awesome, and I can always pick up the album or CD i'm looking for, usually for under $10. The staff is always nice, and the store is kept pretty clean. The store is a little older and a little worn, but that's okay- it kind of adds to the atmosphere. The only issue I have with Zia is that I have to drive 20 minutes to get there...really wish they had another location around Gilbert/Queen Creek.

Constantly come here for new deals on movies and gift items. This place is unique and has very interesting items. The people are always nice and you can opt out of using a bag and get a puzzle piece so a small donation can go to an organization in need. We never get bags from zia and try to help as much as we can. I love that they have tons of classic hard to find movies and they even have a lot of "deal bins" I love going here just to look at items and get great deals on tv show DVDs. This location is my favorite and the one on gilbert/southern is great also. Tempe location is a little overwhelming but still good selection.

Being a Music Hound my whole life, Zias is like visiting home for me. Go back 10, 20 years and they will have it or order it. Just looking will be enjoyed, you can't help it. Over time I've noticed that the Cashiers are much younger than I remember which comes with the package. I have come to Zias half of my life now and I am the age difference. Went there to buy used CD's thinking I could get some old school one's, the selection is okay but a lot of racks were half empty, also they were priced almost the same as new ones 8.99-11.99 and up, I over heard someone selling a box of DVD and CD'S and the guy behind the counter was saying " ok 50. Cents for that one and 25. For those ones" quite a mark up I understand that they have overhead but I got a Metalica CD new for 5.00 at a Walmart that they had f double the price

I think this one is the biggest store yet. Great selection. Why pay more for new when you can buy slightly used for half the cost. Trade your stuff you don't like or watch as much in for things you will. Something for everyone including new and used collectibles, vinyl, cds, games, posters, dvd/blu ray and now books. Ample parking. This location is the only one in AZ that I am aware of that has a bathroom for customers to use (its outside just north of the entrance, you have to ask the trade counter for the key). Most other Zia's will not let you use a restroom as I think they are afraid of theft. If they don't have something you want and another location does they will transfer it to the store you want to pick it up at.

Maybe 1/5th of the store is records (mostly Rock and Hip-hop from what I saw) Though they did have a pretty decent selection of DVDs, Blu-ray's, Popular books and Comics as well as small Pop-culture trinkets. P.S. - Returns are Not a thing! Not even if you just bought it an hour ago and everything is still shrink wrapped! "Storewide policy" says No Refunds! I'm sticking to the local Mom N' Pop stores and then Amazon if I can't find what I'm looking for there. BY FA-Zia!

The other day I came in saw a used record for $24 and told my friend, "who would buy a used record for that price!" Then I found a used record for $24 and the band was broken up so for 5 years and I thought I would never see it again, so I bought it.
