What a fantastic shop! These are experts that obviously have great passion for what they do. They take the time to answer all of your questions and allow you to try any of their beautiful guitars. As with many customers I'm sure, I went into the shop thinking I would get one guitar, but two hours (and an irritating amount of questions) later I ended up purchasing a completely different -- and for me at least -- far better guitar. I can't say enough about the experience. This receives my highest recommendation for anyone interested in learning about, and hopefully purchasing a new guitar.

This is hands DOWN the best instrument store I have ever been to. I was greeted by Dylan and Phil who brought me into the shop and showed me the selection of ukuleles they had. I had already browsed the website and knew what I wanted, and of course they had it in stock! I tried a few others and explored other parts of the shop too, because I also play guitar. They have such a beautiful selection, and you can tell they really care about your buying experience and quality of their instruments. They even gave me a case with the ukulele so I didn’t have to buy one separate. I also found out that they have 3 certified luthiers working there so if I need a repair, they’ll be here to help - and they’ll already know me and my new uke. Woo hoo! Everyone here was so friendly, and I can definitely say I’d recommend this shop to anyone whose interested in buying an acoustic instrument. I’m super happy with them. Thanks acoustic vibes!!

From my first inquiry through the their web site, Phil and Dylan were helpfully and graciously engaged with me as a new customer. Phil is a far better guitarist than I, but was refreshingly authentic and a real pro. He sold and installed an LR Baggs Anthem in my aged production guitar with great care. His inventory of wonderful high end guitars is considerable, yet he treated my D35 copy like a real Martin. The new pick up performed well in the store, and I will be returning for the next set of strings and installation of a bridge plate reinforcement. Can't say enough good things about the guys at Acoustic Vibes. Please check them and their guitars out.

Received the guitar a few days later and it was very securely packaged by Acoustic Vibes. The guitar was just as pictured on their site… very glad they take the time to actually photograph the instrument you’re interested in from all angles. The Guild J55-12 was in excellent condition and the setup was superb. It’s very easy to play and the sound is amazing!!! The actual transaction was easy and they even texted me back after they were closed!! That’s true customer service…. This is one of those music shops that really take pride in their craft. The staff is super knowledgeable, very helpful, and just plain cool. I bought my Taylor here, and it's the best instrument I've ever owned. I brought it in for its first complimentary setup, and I also had Phil swap out the chrome tuners for some satin black ones. A simple modification that doesn't take much time at all, but he could've charged me for it. He didn't though. Those small things are the type of care that makes life long customers. I trust my investment with Acoustic Vibes Music 100% and would recommend anyone going there for any luthier work or to purchase a high end instrument.

They had a great selection of popular brands but also lesser known makers. Ended up going with a OO made by a local luthier. The staff was friendly and answered my questions. Phil was great to work with. Do not be frightened away by some of the more expensive instruments - they have a good selection across many price-points. There was a time in my life where I bought guitars from Guitar Center. That was a dark, depressing time. I once purchased an Alvarez Yairi Masterworks Grand Auditorium from their website, and was sent a non-Yairi Alvarez Parlor guitar instead. This is what happens when you go with the wrong guitar retailer. I have now seen the glorious light, and found Acoustic Vibes Music. I’ve been very interested in Furch guitars for a while, and I’ve never felt comfortable enough buying one without playing one. Thankfully, Acoustic Vibes had a thoughtful and excellent demo video of the exact guitar I was looking at, on the same page as the specs and closeup pictures, and all of the information that an uncertain shopper like me could ever need. After the sale they called me and asked how I wanted the guitar setup and strung. Fun fact, Guitar Center doesn’t do that. I’m going to be an Acoustic Vibes guy from now on.

Setup my guitar to a pretty satisfactory degree. The only thing they can't do is apparently break the laws of physics, but when they figure that part out I will figure out how to give them more than 5 starts. lol. Also I wasn't there to get a guitar, but that is one hell of a sick collection. Edit: After getting even more time to spend with it I just keep noticing little attention to details I didn't before and each little thing has been a pleasant surprise. These luthiers know their stuff!

Dylan was super at customer service. Had a Hofner Bass in need of adjustments and new strings. Excellent job, very reasonable priced. I just moved here from Minnesota, and I’ve found my new “go to” place for all 6 of my guitars. Also, impressed with their inventory of quality products offered . I'm a new guitar player and was in the market for a midsize guitar. There were no shops in my small town to go and try some out to see what was a good fit. I messaged Acoustic Vibes Music with some questions about what they thought would be a good fit. I got an immediate response with some recommendations. I looked at photos and spec's of their guitars shown on line. Then called with additional questions. Jeff took the time to answer all in a friendly and pleasant manner. The sale was completed in late morning and on the truck head my way by late afternoon. Guitar arrived in mint condition. The Martin 000 is a perfect for my hand, making it easy to move around on the fret board. Communication was great through the whole process. When I'm in the market for another guitar I will be heading to Acoustic Vibes Music.

Jeff, I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the team at your store after my visit this morning. My wife Wendy and I dropped in to view your selection of guitars. We were quickly greeted by Nikki who was not only very friendly, but also extremely knowledgeable. She immediately made us feel at home and we were welcomed to play any of the instruments. This was a very pleasantly different environment than your typical guitar store here in the valley. Nikki listened to some concerns I have with one of my guitars and offered luthier services if needed. After playing some guitars for about 30 minutes we were greeted by Bernie who was quick to find some common interests with us. He offered a wealth of knowledge about the guitars I was interested in and helped narrow down what was ultimately quite a tough decision of what to purchase. The store was filled with acoustic dreams, some of which one could never imagine seeing in person. We decided to purchase a pre-owned, but like new Taylor PS-16CE, something that Bernie helped make happen with a very fair negotiation. Very good experience! Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I worked with Phil, who assisted me with my purchase, and I was very satisfied with my experience. In addition to selling music guitar, they offered me great info on maintenance, and offered to adjust the guitar once I break it in a bit. This was a far better buying experience than going to a big corporation like Guitar Center. The guitars were all also in outstanding shape. There were no duds! They obviously take very good care of them!

Well worth the trip. Service is excellent - they took care of setups for both electric and acoustic guitars, and replaced a broken switch on the electric. High quality work with appropriate turnaround given how busy they are. And if you’re buying? Nice showroom with several options. All the guitars are in excellent shape, and they allow you to play/compare them so you’re making an informed purchase. Kind, knowledgeable, and communicative staff. Dylan in particular has been extremely helpful both with sales and with repair work, even going so far as to make some simple adjustments on short notice. Great shop.

I started taking guitar lessons about a month ago after many years away from music. I found a link to Acoustic Vibes as a Breedlove Distinctive Dealer in Phoenix, so I stopped by to get acquainted. After several weeks of research I came back to the store to demo some instruments, and ended up purchasing a Breedlove Legacy Auditorium guitar. The staff was knowledgable and amazing to work with. I have a family heirloom 1967 Guild that needed some serious work. This guitar is so special because my mother gave it to my father as a college graduation gift! Acoustic Vibes is the only place I would have considered taking it. I had never had a guitar repaired there before, but having shopped there, I knew they know their stuff. The repair work was on time, the guitar looks and sounds great and the staff is always willing to spend a minute or 20 to explain how something works or why something was designed in a certain way. I bought a beautiful lightly used Furch “red Series” guitar. As usual the staff was friendly and informative. They installed a great pickup and I brought it home. The action was too high so asked to have it lowered. Phil flattened the neck. within minutes of my return to the store. Now it is Perfect! I have purchased a great Lowden and a very reasonably priced F type mandolin at AV. They are also perfect. A terrific store and staff!

I went in for a repair consultation and was extremely impressed with the staff. It was a minor issue. I made another visit with a second guitar, they took their time, accessed the extent of the damage and explained what needed to be done. Each time there they were very helpful and explained not only my repairs but answered questions on guitars I was looking at in their shop. No pressure to buy anything but very helpful and friendly. When I came back to pick up my repaired Martin , I again played the guitar I was looking at. No pressure, but very helpful in helping me make a decision. I was looking for dealers for the Collings guitars. I hoped to find someone local, however the few that was around was out of stock. I seen Acoustic vibes website and the had the exact model I was looking for. I spoke with Phil and he answerd all my questions and we talked about my concerns. He is a skilled Luthier and is my go to guy for anything acoustic guitar. This shop was recommended to me by my guitar teacher a couple of years ago. My dad had a 1970s Alvarez that needed some repairs done, so I took it to them. Their prices for the amount of repair work they did was very reasonable, and the guitar played SO much better once we got it back. They also communicated frequently throughout the process to let me know what they were doing and what else needed to be done. Today, I returned to have some setups done, and to have my dads 1970s era Gibson Les Paul headstock repaired. While I was there I fell in love with a guitar, so I traded in one of my guitars I was originally going to get setup for the one I loved in the shop. The owner offered me a very reasonable trade-in amount towards the new guitar and I left very satisfied. I look forward to going again to pick up my guitars once they are fully set up, I know they will do a wonderful job and that my instruments will sound and play amazingly once they are done with them! I will never hesitate to recommend and utilize this shop for all of my guitar needs now and in the future!!

So far so good. Site is easily accessible as so are the staff. The site gave a clear illustration of the instruments which are also well represented in their photos and videos. When I called to ask questions, their representative was most helpful. Negotiating terms were excellent and I felt confident to make a purchase of a fine signature guitar. Prior to shipping, I was called and asked if I had any set up preferences and string preferences. This has never happened anywhere else when I’ve made an online purchase so, I was very impressed. All that remains is for my signature guitar to arrive safely and I have 48 hours to audition it. Based on my communications, I have every conference that my new guitar will be as good as it should be.

This resulted in cracks to the waist and lower bout. It also badly needed some fretwork. Obviously not the type of guitar or damage I wanted to submit to just anyone. The work was excellent, price was competitive and turn around time impressive. Acoustic Vibes is my go-to shop for all my acoustic guitar needs. My experience with Acoustic Vibes was a very pleasant surprise. They are a full service operation. I was looking for a Cordoba Torres guitar. Most places don't t have it in stock and are happy to order one for you. Wait time is 6-7 months if you can get it. Acoustic had two in stock so I got to pick the one I liked best. This store is amazing! I made an appointment to have them look at 20+ year old Gibson I had purchased and had shipped to me. We drove 2.5 hrs to get here to have them look at it and it was totally worth it! The inventory alone is worth booking an appointment to go into Acoustic Vibes Music. They were very prompt with the appointment time and didn’t try to upsale me on anything. Phil the Luthier, took his time to show me everything he was looking at for damage or potential issues. The main concern I had turned out to not even be an issue with the guitar (again, they didn’t try to upsale or take advantage of the situation). Phil did find one potential problem that could be fixed now (preventative maintenance) to save me a few hundred dollars later. I will definitely bring my business here again.

I took my ‘89, humidity control neglected Taylor 615 in to repair two cracks in the top (one old, one new). It also had a neck joint rattle that was a bit concerning. Since the guitar had never gone into the shop for maintenance, I was worried about what other underlying issues from a lack of regular care may need to be addressed along with the severity of the known issues. Cut to the chase, the repairs were addressed nicely, communication was great, the guys are super friendly, they called to discuss what they had found, progress, suggested a fret dressing from normal wear and tear and got it all done exactly on time as planned. The guitar sounds and plays great, the crack repairs look as good as one could hope and the cost was incredibly reasonable. Five stars across the board.

After going to guitar center to demo nylon guitars I received the same attitude.”oh yea there over there next to the bathrooms”. I just had a baritone ukulele that needed restrung, tried the "chain" store and they didn't have the strings in stock, called Acoustic Vibes Music and they had them in stock and would do it while I waited. The place has a cool vibe and they got to work on my ukulele immediately. During my short wait in the guitar room, I actually learned a lot about guitars as another customer was trying out a number of acioustic models. The work was done quickly, well, and for about half of the price that the chain store had quoted me (if they had had the strings.) I recently purchased my third Martin acoustic guitar (000-17, black smoke) from Acoustic Vibes Music...only my third Martin, but probably 1 of 30 guitars purchased over the years and countless instruments/gear purchases overall. So, maybe I’m a little indecisive when it comes to my instruments. but over the years I’ve dealt with many companies of varying sizes, from all over the country, and I definitely have plenty of experience as a customer. That being said, Acoustic Vibes exceeded all my expectations. I know this is how good store reviews typically go, but this is more than just an attempt at flattery or talking up some business who gave me a good deal. From the beginning they were extremely helpful in helping me find a great guitar for my style/needs and for a price way beyond what I’d consider competitive. You could even call it a bargain. Unfortunately, I couldn’t send payment immediately because I needed 24 hours for the money to clear my account, but they were patient and even willing to hold the guitar for me...before it had even crossed my mind to ask them to. After the payment cleared, within an hour or so, I received a call from Phil (luthier at the shop) who was extremely friendly, helpful, and thorough while asking me all the right questions (and no unnecessary questions) to help determine how he should set up the guitar for me and select new strings. None of his questions were difficult or intimidating for me, as an intermediate player who definitely has a lot left to learn and I never felt out of my wheelhouse answering any of them. More importantly, Phil was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and patient/accommodating with me (though maybe I had a few too many questions) and not only set up my guitar but also picked out the perfect strings, made sure to include a note and the string packaging for future reference, installed a strap button at no extra cost to me, helped me choose the perfect strap to go with it (a beautiful Martin black leather strap with red leather binding and engraved floral pattern) from some they had in the shop, and was nice enough to take photos of the entire process and send them to me before the guitar was shipped out. He also made sure that the guitar shipped quickly and would arrive within the week and not spend a day inside a hot warehouse. The couple of times I had some dumb question or request and had to call back, the woman I spoke with (whose name I forgot or never learned...sorry!) was also more than happy to help get me back in touch with Phil and greeted me as though I was a friend whose call she’d been anticipating...even though there’s no telling how many people just like me she’d already had to deal with that day. So, what else is there to say? From beginning to end, even as a new customer, I was treated like a priority by everyone I had the pleasure of speaking with, the prices were more than fair, the inventory was impressive, everyone at the shop was friendly, helpful and knew what they were doing, the entire process was really simple and fast (4-5 days total counting the weekend), and this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had choosing, buying, and “accessorizing” an instrument. The Martin I chose may not be top tier by the standards of most, but you’d be hard pressed to find better customer service...and Acoustic Vibes is absolutely top tier. Like I mentioned, I’ve dealt with MANY companies over the years, but this store has earned all future business from me and done so without placing all the emphasis on things like their brand, “sales”/discounts/promos, coupons, bundles, etc...but instead ALL the emphasis on providing me, the customer, with a good product for a price totally in line with the “BIG” store and a wonderful, personal experience. I wish them nothing but prosperity, success and growth in the future and I hope more dealers/stores/companies will model themselves after Acoustic Vibes. Best music store in the area to peruse some of the best acoustic instruments by selected boutique and mainstream builders. The stock is priced between $3 and $10k but the reward for spending more is finding the equivalent of a Steinway (beautiful tone, resonance and playability) in a steel or nylon string guitar. Cheaper instruments are available, but comparing them to the better ones is motivation to indulge yourself or reward yourself for hard work in getting better. Better sound makes you play at a higher level. Check this small store out!

I know they specialize in repairs but they also setup your instrument so that it sounds exactly like you want. I have a 2017 Sullivan banjo and even though it sounded great, it wasn't exactly the sound I was looking for so I brought it in and Nikki tightened it up and added a new bridge. It now has the sharper sound I was going for. There is no other place in the valley that I would trust. Also, they have rooms full of different instruments, guitars, banjos, mandolins, etc.

I had called all over in town. I was in AZ for just another day or two and everyone was backed up for a week or two. I knew I couldn’t get my travel guitar in anywhere and completed by departure time. I decided to go in for a new top nut and supplies to fix and set up the guitar myself. The tech told me about a trick of adjusting the nut height with baking soda and super glue for a easy fix. Then he just grabbed it and adjusted the truss rod and tuned up the top nut. Then, he only charged me $10. Then tried to buy strings and he said they were all good and I didn’t need them. This place has earned me as a loyal customer. He explained how he was on a trip and a friend gave him a guitar falling apart. He went to a guitar shop and asked to use the tools since he didn’t want to invest into a guitar that wasn’t worth much. He said how the guitar shop had pitty on him and tuned it all up for $15 bucks and not $50. He decided to do the same for me and pay it forward. Now I need to pay it forward to someone else when the opportunity comes. This place rocks!! Thanks!! Happy traveler guitar here!

I tried out all kinds of different guitars and amidst the selection of other custom guitars ended up falling in love with a brand that I had never heard of, Bourgeois. No, this is certainly not an inexpensive store. But they do have a large selection and a wide range of prices. I also really love their website which features every single instrument they have in stock including descriptions with photos of the actual guitar. Their website just enhances the already stellar experience and service you receive from Acoustic Vibes Music. Acoustic Vibes Music is special. You will be hard pressed to find anything that comes close to their quality and customer service.
