Great spot. Comfortable n laidback environment, makes you feel welcome. From my eyes they seem comfortable working with all kinds of different styles and vibes. Already seen artists from multiple different genres doin their thing there, they even teach music classes. Just a well rounded and multi faceted studio IMO. I been working with Mike, who's smart as hell and quick to pick up on the direction a song's going. Great mixer/engineer. Highly recommended 👍

Just came back from recording 2 songs at LDB10 and had an AMAZING experience!! I worked with Shea. I recorded my vocals with him and then he mixed and mastered my songs to make them sound SO GOOD!! I was going on a year without recording any music. Just moving to Philly from NYC. I was looking for a nice place to get work done. I walked into the studio one afternoon and met Mike. He was kind enough to give me a tour of the space and gave me the entire run down of their operation and what there about. The next day booked studio session. It was amazing. I felt very at ease which is a huge factor in making music. I had plenty of fun. Very relaxing and comfortable recording space. Mike did everything I asked for and more when it came to mixing and mastering the track. The service they provide and for the rate is really beneficial to the artist. Super cool staff. This school was truly the best thing I ever did to fully learn the art of Home Recording. I worked classroom hours learning and working with Pro Tools recording software at my own work station, just like I would at my home studio. Then, the instructors had us apply what we were learning in actual recording sessions right in the school. From miking full bands, vocals and acoustic guitars to mixing awesome audio tracks I had a complete education to do so at a pro level here at Little Drummaboy Recording School. I totally would recommend this certificate program to anyone who is serious about learning how to record and mix audio!

I'm an actor/teacher of voice-acting from New York City and have been enjoying a relocation to Center City, Philly for nearly the past year. What a wonderful opportunity to first meet the welcoming owner, Mr. Coles and then the very dynamic manager, Mike Moore who was my engineer for my initial recordings (I will certainly do more at LDB!). Needed was not my "usual" voice-over work, but music demos, one in a Jazz crooner vain, the other "shadowing" the style of a legend to serve as a type of audition for a road tour. I had very specific intent and musical opinions accompanied with professional tracks I supplied, and Mike matched me every step of the way, either mirroring my suggestions with his expertise and often, kicking them to the next level with his own artistic ear and engineering excellence. He was also helpful in giving savvy direction when needed--no matter how many times one puts themselves out there artistically or is able to coach in "safe space" to help others, as I do, it is always so good to have someone like Mike standing by to give keen objectivity when one is the performer himself. My results are classy and slick in the best way! The second tune, mastered akin to the legend's 1950's work--that's how dedicated Mike is--will definitely garner me work. To sum it up, the experience at LDB is bright, fresh, astute, and honest. It's collaborative and respect is given to ones particular genre. It was also fun, with cool chemistry! I will most certainly be a dedicated client.

I'm currently a student with Samori doing an audio engineer/music production course. This class is everything I need to know in a nutshell. Even though Samori's courses are great for any experience level, I came in with no experience or knowledge what-so-ever, and have had a comfortable transition into the basics. I recently completed the music production program at LDB with Samori and the class turned out to be everything I wanted and more. I had little prior experience with music production, played the piano when I was younger but not for years. Over the course of 6 months I learned so much every week. Samori not only taught me how to use the music production software I use (Logic), but taught me important yet basic principles of music theory that somehow I never learned during my years playing piano when I was younger. The focus on not only experimenting around with the production software but also reinforcing my keyboard playing abilities turned out to be exactly what I needed to start making music I enjoy. I took this class purely out of interest as a hobby but feel as though I could pursue a career as a producer after this class. Can't recommend it enough...if you're interested...take it! You won't be disappointed.
