I've had nothing but fantastic experiences here and recommend them to everyone. I just restarted taking lessons here recently (with Trevor, who is amazing), and those have been fantastic. I previously took lessons early in COVID, which were also great but I had to stop because life got busy. They work with me to figure out what I want to work towards and help me focus on getting there. I just purchased a second guitar from here as well, and both purchase experiences have been easy, with plenty of encouragement to play around with any instrument I've been interested in and take the time I need to make a decision. There has never been any pressure or rush to make a purchase. As an adult getting into playing an instrument, every experience I've had here has been amazing, encouraging and every employee has been happy to help and answer any questions I have with a great attitude. It's made a world of difference as I start my music journey, and has helped me stick with learning and will keep me coming back here for all my music needs! Picture is of the two amazing guitars I've gotten from here, that were exactly what I was looking for both from a sound and comfort perspective.

After researching for the perfect BARITONE ukulele for me, I found it at George’s Music. Baritones aren’t as popular as the soprano, concert or tenor ukulele’s of which George’s has a large selection, but they had several baritones to play with. To be able to actually play the instrument before buying it and knowing that I will be happy with it is important to me. Chris asked me a few questions related to the baritone which I thought were quite helpful in choosing the right one. He also helped me select a stand while Kevin helped to put on the new strap. I really enjoyed my experience at George’s Music.

I cannot sing the praises of this music shop enough!! I’ve been a musician for 20 years now, I’ve professionally gigged as a saxophonist both classically and commercially both in the tri-state area and through undergrad in Nashville but never as a vocalist and guitarist - when I came in feeling totally clueless and very insecure about what I’d need to make it through my first solo gig, Chris and the whole staff treated me with so much kindness and respect, he walked me through all kinds of options and made sure I had everything I needed to be successful. Not only was the gig a total success but I’m booked again for this coming weekend. It’s so rare to find a music shop where people are really knowledgeable AND kind. I would recommend this place for any musician of any level - they’re not going to steer you wrong, and they’re going to be sincerely kind about it. 10/10, thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

I've been taking bass lessons from Chad at George's Music for about a year now and I would recommend the store for players of any skill level looking to get support and feedback in their musical development. As an adult learner, I've appreciated the flexibility in scheduling time and makeups and found that the pace has been good for easy and quick development in my skills. Chad has been excellent at providing support for anything I've wanted to learn more of: whether that's just learning/perfecting new songs, training my ear to learn songs without tab, or even just jamming with him on guitar using the skills I've been developing. Outside of the lessons, I've really enjoyed the environment at George's Music and it's led to me expanding my musical horizons way more than learning at home had. The employees are friendly and willing to lend a hand with any sort of musical question I have had. It's nice to walk into a store where you know everyone and that extra bit of community really increases the appeal.

Best music store in Delco! Great selection of guitars, basses and keyboards as well as repair services for instruments. Chris C. was extremely helpful in troubleshooting the locking tremolo system on my guitar. He really took the time to educate me on how the tremolo works and how to troubleshoot the issues that arise from them. Overall, extremely happy to have a shop like George’s around! Great staff, great products. 5 stars

Kevin and Austin from the Springfield store were extremely welcoming and helpful when we were in town from MA last weekend! Kevin remembered us both from when we had visited the shop in early June, and Austin was more than happy to adjust/tweak the bridge and neck on my bass before needing to gig that same afternoon. I noticed the Springfield store a couple of months ago. I stopped in and they had a nice selection of musical gear. I didn't need anything, so I mostly just looked around. I was surprised to get a follow up phone call a couple of weeks later from Jeff Maul, who I had talked to during my visit. That kind of personal service is really rare. Yesterday, I visited again with some colleagues, looking for a wireless lavalier microphone system for presentations. Jeff was tremendously helpful and patient. He asked about our needs and our budget and then steered us to the equipment we needed. He further spent time showing us how it worked, and checked out our speaker for us. We will likely be coming back to buy a second speaker in the future. We really appreciated such helpful, knowledgeable support at a local store. I will certainly be back in the future.

I was on the hunt for a pink ukelele for a last minute birthday gift. The music store I usually go to was sold out in all three of their stores. When I looked online to see if any store had one in stock to pick up that day, George's Music was the only one to have one online for a great price. I called the store and from there it was such a smooth process. Kevin (Springfield location) checked which of the stores had it in stock, arranged payment over the phone, contacted the North Wales store to let them know of my arrival, and it was ready for me to pick up at the register! The little girl loved it as her birthday gift and was playing it the next day at church during worship. So thankful George's Music has such a large selection of instruments on stock in various colors to make gifts more personal!

My daughter has been taking music lessons at George’s Music School for about four months now with Mr. Ford. The staff at the music school understand I’m a busy mom and always have something going on. We wanted to thank Austin @ the Swedesford Road store for all of his help! My daughter needed guitar strings and a pedal in a hurry for 2 gigs the following day. Austin showed Sarah several different pedals to choose from and explained the pros and cons of each. She was able to pick the best one for her needs and she loves it! This is our own local chain, same grade as a Guitar Center. They have everything to meet your music needs. Reasonably priced and wide selection in store. In a bind, I was able to find a mixer and necessary cables for an event I needed.

In todays world of music and inventory problems, Guitar center and Sam ash just don’t cut it for me like smaller and independent stores do. George’s music is an exceptional small business Music Store and you will find they have higher quality product selection, rewards and initiatives, and ESPECIALLY customer service! As an active gigging musican who has visited all my local music shops in 1 day I cannot stress it enough the difference that George’s music makes. Chris Clarke at the Springfield store and Wayne at the Berwyn store in particular really took extra time and advising with me to make sure I was satisfied. I did end up making a purchase of an acoustic guitar and have always made purchases of their instruments for the past 15 years best place to go. Local, friendly! There really is something to be said for shopping at small local businesses. Each time I head into George's music I'm welcomed by name by one of the many friendly staff. I've purchased three guitars and a bunch of accessories from George's, all within the last six months or so. Maybe some people like the experience of walking into a huge guitar super store and being left alone, no one around to answer questions or help you reach a guitar on a high shelf but that experience just isn't for me. Music is about community and when you shop at George's, no matter your skill level, you feel like you're part of something. Thanks to John, Austin, Kevin and Chris for being awesome!

My son and I stopped by the Springfield store on a whim. My son, who plays drums, has recently expressed interest in bass guitar. We have been to this store many times over the years and have always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Today was no exception. As we entered the store we were greeted by all three people on the floor. Chris approached us as let us know if we had any questions or needed help finding anything to just let him know. He then let us go check out the store. When we did need some help Chris was right there to answer our questions. He also shared some of his experiences which both my son and I found very relatable. The store is well laid out and selection of instruments is decent. I arrived about 45 minutes till closing but the staff was more than happy to help me out while I was fussing around with a Telecaster that I wound up buying. Staff showed patience, respect, and professionalism the whole time. Even got into a great conversation regarding musicians and instruments. Must say I'm enjoying the playability of that Telecaster and the tones especially on chords. Also like the pau ferro fretboard. Big thanks to Mitch and the rest of the staff again. It was the first time I’ve been to this music store and I was greeted with friendly staff who were very knowledgeable with their craft. They were very helpful and not pushy. They even helped tune my son’s old violin as they put new string on it. I thought I have to pay for the tuning but it was free. They all seem to love what they do. I love George's Music!!!!! So, I was looking to get a Taylor GS-Mini Koa Plus back in May and asked Ed Allen (Springfield) to keep an eye out for one as they had not yet started shipping from the factory. Of course I was still checking George's website everyday to see if any had come in. This one particular day I spotted one and was going to call when George's opened. Well, I never got a chance as Ed was looking too and called me first to let me know there was one available. To top it off he also sent me a picture right around the same time. I wasn't crazy about it, so he found another one in the FL store and sent me a picture (while he out to diner), I was going to get that one. 1-2 days later I went in to pick it up and it turns out 1 more had come in the night before. Well, once I saw that one, I played it, loved it, and it and it went home with me. The moral of this story, these guys are awesome!!!! Thanks again Ed!!!!!

Took my 2 boys (7 and 8 yrs old) to George's to look at guitars for the first time - from the moment we walked through the door we were treated like family. The owner Kevin was super accommodating, and helped us pick out the perfect set for beginners - the Ibanez 3/4 size Acoustic JamPack. I recommend George’s at Springfield for their good products and excellent customer service. George’s has been around a long time for these two reasons. I recently purchased a set of Audio Technica professional headphones from George’s in Springfield. Here was my experience: After researching headphones on the internet, I called early in the morning to see if I could demo some brands I was interested in, and was told I could. The call was very brief. I didn’t get to the store until many hours later, almost closing time. But the salesman, Austin, remembered me from the call. That made a strong impression on me — after all, it was the end of the day; and how many non-distinct calls like that come in all throughout the day? Austin helped me narrow my search, but then got detained by a phone call. Another salesman took over; and I was told for the first time that the store had a “no demonstration” policy for headphones. Looked like I’d made the trip for nothing. Normally, at that point, I would have been inclined to leave and take my money elsewhere, especially after I’d called ahead to make sure I could try out headphones. But the salesman was professional. He made an effort to listen and consider the conversation I’d had with Austin. He took the time to consider what I was trying to do, to accommodate my request, and come up with a way to honor Austin’s invitation for me to try out headphones without disturbing store policy. Within a few minutes the two brands of headphones I was interested in were on my head. Austin rejoined the demo, and was particularly knowledgeable about both brands (and about mixing), and he was able to give me insight into the reliability of the AT’s for the long haul. I was impressed by his expertise, and the interest both of them took in what I wanted to do with my music. I ended up going forward with the purchase, not just because of the exceptional quality of sound from the headphones but also because of the exceptional customer service by these two gentleman. They were very sincere, and they sold me a high quality product that I am very happy with. I hope the reader has a similar good experience. Thanks, to Austin and George’s!

What a great music store George"s Music is! Can't say enough good things about the staff, their inventory and appearance of the store in general. I have visited George's a few times now and they always make sure they know my name and are quick to find out how they can help me. The day I purchased my Taylor guitar, Jeff took lots of time with me to show me every model that I showed an interest in and let me try them out. First off, I wanted to say I didn’t purchase my guitar from George’s, however, I called them up because I had never tuned one without the help of a buddy who plays. The man I spoke to was named John, he told me they have tuners in the store and that he would help me get it tuned when I came in. I went to the store and it was the most welcoming place you could imagine, everyone in the store greeted you like a friend. So I meet John and he takes me through step by step on how to tune my guitar with the device they sell in the store called, Snark, it digitally displays the tune of the chord you’re one. Never seen them before but they are awesome. Needless to say if you’re ever having second thoughts about being judged, give George’s a call and these guys will go above and beyond for you. I've only been here a total of three times, and let me say that the service here is great! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, great at helping you find what you're looking for, and also good at helping you figure out what's helpful based on your price range. The only two minor setbacks I've really ever had there, is that they were once out of stock of ukulele bags, and that I keep having to make new accounts with them whenever I go there, but outside of that, it's fantastic there. Overall, it's just a really good local shop, and if you're considering buying an instrument, you should definitely check them out.

Besides that, the general manager, Kevin, helped greatly with his suggestions, taking into account my lack of skill as a novice guitar player. He recommended the FG-800 Yamaha acoustic as one of the best-for-the-money instruments to learn on. I researched this later and found it is not only highly rated for beginners, but also as a pleasurable and quality-sounding guitar otherwise.

While Chris could not point our group toward any useful fossil leavings, not even coprolite deposits, and while he was disappointed we were not looking for pterodactyl fossils, he was very helpful in rustling up a variety of fine guage steel guitar strings, with which our group might use to produce passable cantigas upon our pineapple ukuleles. Had a great experience purchasing a Martin acoustic last summer. I visited 3 times and spent nearly an hour each testing out a few different guitar options and even experimenting a bit with the acoustic amps as well. Everyone was so helpful. My order was slightly delayed. That is not unusual since we have been affected by the Covid-19 virus. I contacted Kevin who originally helped me with the purchase and he immediately looked up and tried to track the delivery of my new instrument. When he realized there was no tracking information, he transferred the problem to his boss, Alan, who then contacted the company and expedited the delivery. Alan contacted me to let me know what was going on and I received the guitar in excellent condition a few days later. It seemed to me that customer service was a high priority. As a guy who normally prefers smaller, independently-run music shops, I was surprised by how much I have enjoyed my experience with George's Music, Springfield. I initially came in because they have good deals on buying guitar strings, but found the sales associates in the store to be different than the usual "corporate" guitar shops. The guys there ask if you're looking for anything, and if you are…they are quite helpful and know their gear. If you're just browsing, they let you browse without getting in your business every few seconds trying to push a sale or score a commission. Every guitar player has had that experience at Sam Ash or Guitar Center where the sales guy really wants you to buy that $3k guitar when all you're doing is seeing what they have in stock that might peak your interest. That doesn't happen here. Too long of a review, but if you are looking for a good music store in the area…this shop is run well, staffed well, and stocked well.

The staff (especially Mark, Bob and Doug) is not only extremely knowledgeable but also very friendly and patient. They take the time to answer any questions that you may have about anything and everything in between. The store always has an excellent product selection with good prices. See something you like on the wall and you want to try it out? No problem, it is encouraged and with no pressure at all. If you're in the market for guitar lessons come into the Springfield store and ask for Matt Lyons, he's excellent. Of all the similarly priced digital pianos, the Yamaha had the best approximation of key feel and hammer weight without the distracting resin finish of the Casio or the springboard effect of the Alesis. I have been coming to this George's Music location for roughly the past ten years. To me, this is the ONLY music shop in the area. Anything I have ever needed to get done; from guitar/bass repair, to lessons, to advice, to purchasing something new, George's in Springfield has always been my top choice. Not just the friendliest staff in a music store that I've patronized - the friendliest staff of any retail style outlet I've ever been in. They had a wide variety of products; they had no qualms with me testing out the keyboards I was looking at for hours and even gave me a set of headphones to play around. I spent an hour in the keyboard section trying to find out what worked best for me and the sales folks weren't in your face pressuring you to make a decision, but they were there as soon as I needed any assistance at all. Other than that, they left me alone to make my decision and test the products. Would recommend going out of your way to shop at George's if you need anything related to music. I was looking for a audio solution for livestreaming, and was searching for a specific mixer I heard about. Did a Google search and George's Music popped up as a vendor of the product, went to the page, when up popped a chat window asking if I had any questions. I was wary about clicking on it, but so glad I did! Kevin responded to all my questions, and when things got complicated, he offered to call me. He spent almost an hour on the phone with me listening to what I needed, and offering solutions within my limited budget. When it was clear none was quite the right fit, he said he'd consult with some experts and get back to me, which he did, but none of the products they had seemed to help my specific situation. He even watched my livestream to give me feedback, called me afterwards, and basically said I was doing great with the equipment I had! No hard sell. Thank you George's Music for ordering a fine Kala ukulele and for saving the hummingbird ukulele for me. I have tested both ukuleles on my amplifier and they project their sound beautifully. The set-ups were very good as I have had no trouble with unwanted buzzes. I find the hummingbird ukulele a bit higher in color and that accommodates jazz chords very well. I'll be using that uke when I play and sing "Fly Me to the Moon," and "Sunny."

Best music store around! Mark ordered a set of wireless in-ear monitors for me on their pre-black Friday sale. The transaction took 2 seconds and the order came in super fast. He took the time to make sure I had everything I needed, explained how to hook it up, and even made sure to order the right frequency (so it wouldn't interfere with band-mates wireless units). Shopped at George's for years once I started playing guitar back in high school. All the employees are extremely welcoming and helpful. I much prefer stores like George's over bigger stores like say Guitar Center just because it is more personal when you shop there and actually get to know the guys around the shop. This is not an isolated situation, the Sail Associates are so friendly you immediately feel welcomed. I came here 15 months ago in search of guitar lessons. I've been a regular ever since. I love it here!! I take guitar and drum lessons. I'm pursuing my dream of becoming a better musician. So far I have accomplished a few of my goals I set for myself. Yesterday I did my 1st performance in George's Student Show Case. I told the audience I was very nervous and they clapped for me. That was out of site!!! I was immediately encouraged. So if you ever wanted to learn an instrument, this is the place to be. The teachers are fantastic and encouraging even when you play bad notes, trust me, I hit my fair share of them. All the associates are accomplished musicians too!!! I believe everyone here wants to see their students do well. They bend over backwards to help you whenever you ask. So come down to George's start working on those deferred dreams and rid yourself of that would of,could of, should of nonsense. George's also gives workshops that I've found to be quite useful. They also listen when you have ideas on topics for workshops like Music Theory. When it comes to local music stores, George's Music is hard to beat. In this day of buying everything online, it's nice to be able to go into a store and talk with people that you know and trust. You get to have hands-on experience with the gear also. Additionally, when you need to have something right away and you cannot wait for an online order, you can't be running into George's. They also have lessons on various instruments and they happen to have one of the best guitar players in the world working there teaching guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele. That would be none other than my own son Jesse Christaldi. I know, you think it's just a proud dad bragging, but look him up on YouTube and decide for yourself if it's just me being proud or if this guy can't they are guitar apart and put it back together before your very eyes!

First off as soon as I walked in I was greeted by Bob who answered any questions I had. I used to sell cars so I know how the whole sales world goes. But Bob was just a genuine person beyond trying to sell me anything. What's funny is I told him I was "just looking". Before I knew it I was purchasing a Gibson LPJ. Amazing guitar!!! Very affordable and you get that all American Gibson sound I've been dreaming to own for 15 years. I can honestly say that if it wasn't for the crew and how nice everyone was I really would have just kept looking. I could have held out for another month and gone back home to Texas to purchase the Gibson from a Guitar Center where the customer service is as bad as a smelly fart. Georges Music in Springfield PA is the best place to shop for all of your music instrument needs. I have been coming here since I was 14 years old and first started playing the guitar. Even when I was a kid with tons of annoying questions they were always patient knowledgable and very helpful. That great service still continues to this day. To the larger "big box" music stores your just another dollar but to Georges your a friend and part of the family. They remember who you are and what you like. I have made purchases there from $10-$1000 and they always treat you the same. Even if you just want to stop by, hangout and shoot the breeze they are more than willing to oblige you. The store manager Doug, and the sales associates Brian and Mark are always ready to help with whatever you may need. Most times they are just as excited about your purchase as you are. If its something limited edition or that they dont usually carry they will do everything in their power to find one for you. They found me a Goldtop Les Paul 50s tribute when there were none to be found anywhere else. I have been a regular customer there for almost 20 years and cant imagine going anywhere else. So if you're tired of being treated poorly or ignored at a "big box" store than go to Georges Music Springfield. I promise that you will not regret it!

Great customer service experience. Thanks Zack. I came in to purchase a mid range acoustic guitar and walked away with an Ibanez AW535CENT. Absolutely amazing guitar by the way. Most importantly though was Zack's patience and knowledge. We went through numerous guitars and talked about each one. I tried the Martin, Taylor, Yamaha, Fender. He let me play everything and even showed me a few things along the way. He played one while I played another so I could compare the tone and feel of each. I did not expect to buy an Ibanez but let me tell you. This thing is gorgeous. And Zack really was right. The guitar picks you. I went to the "other" nearby music store and they were of no help. Don't just order something online either. Go to George's. They have a good selection, friendly staff, and similar prices to the bigger stores. The one I bought was the same price as the "big" store. This is what sets George's music apart from all the other chain guitar stores. Not only are the staff musicians but they know all the products inside and out. George's music store in Springfield Pa (it's the only location I've ever been to) Every guitar on the wall no matter if it's $99 or $5,000 the guitar is set up properly and intonated and in tune. I've been in the two other big chain stores and I've taken down a $1,800 SG and it was unplayable, the strings were so high off the fretboard and the neck had a curve like a Hockey stick and I asked the tech to do a quick adjustment and he said only if you're buying it and I said how will I know if I even like it if it's unplayable and he pretty much just shrugged his shoulders. With guitars first impressions are very important. That's just my two cents.

Over the past 10 years of being a musician I've mainly shopped at Georges. This is because the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
