Ficks is a terrific place to get sheet music! I purchased chamber music from them 2 days ago. Less expensive and quicker than Amazon even though I have Amazon prime. I called Ficks initially because I had some questions. They were helpful and patient and answered all my questions. I called on Monday afternoon and they put the music in the mail for me and I received it on Wednesday. Couldn't be easier and the knowledgeable customer service is terrific. I didn't know that Ficks existed and it is located right here in Philadelphia!!

Excellent service! Love that it's a small business and they appear to have an extensive collection of music. I ordered a somewhat hard to find music book [Bach: 6 Cello Suites, BWV 1007-1012 (arr. for viola)] online, and the experience was remarkable. Then at the last minute I realized that they are in Philly, not too far from where I live. I called and they graciously grabbed the package so I could pick it up in person. Great store! I have had trouble finding a physical copy of these Bach duets for my students. Even Amazon only had one copy and it was $55! I don't like purchasing from Amazon, in general, because I like to support independent businesses.... And because Jeff Bezos is a union-hating loser. Excellent customer service! I ordered there for the first time the other day, a hard-to-find piece of music that was my assignment for a chamber music workshop. After on-line checkout, I realized that I should have ordered priority shipping, as there was a rehearsal date coming up soon. I called, and the person I spoke to said that he couldn’t up-grade the shipping once I’d checked out, but he could put a note for expedited shipping, no charge. I’ve already gotten the FedEx tracking number, and it will be here on Tuesday, in time for rehearsal the next day, instead of the end of the week. Couldn’t be happier- I’ll order here again the next time I need music.
