Homer's is the biggest record store in the Old Market with literally thousands of CDs, LPs, DVDs, and Cassettes to look through! All the music is well organized in alphabetical order and by genre so you don't have to rummage at all. The conditions range from factory sealed new to used and are priced appropriately. All the used items get screened before sale so you can be confident that they will work! They also sell branded apparel, posters, stickers, candles, and some record players. Sign up for their listeners club to get discounts on everything you buy! If you're into music then you have to stop by this place.

LOVED this place in high school. My now teenage daughter has excellent taste in music . I took her here on an Omaha outing for her 16th birthday and bought her some records. It was just like I remembered it. Very nostalgic stop for me. Cheers to the next 50 years, Homer's.

Amazing selection, couldn’t believe I found what I was looking for right away given that it’s a pretty small band. If I ever hit the lottery this is my first stop, but until then I might make the drive to Omaha to pick up a couple records here and there in the meantime for my wall at home. Cashier was super helpful when I was looking for something specific and even offered to order it for me.

I love Homer's they have so much for the eyes to see I feel like I have ADHD while I've there. No Turntablism records and that's a shame. I make it a habit to check out local record stores whenever I am traveling for work. And let me tell you Homer's does not disappoint. They have an amazing staff that is friendly and loves to talk about music. They truly have an all encompassing selection of genres of new and used vinyl, cd, and cassette. I can not tell you how important this is as I've been to plenty of record stores where it is only classic rock or pop music. I was able to easily find some really awesome records, ranging from the Gap Band, Daft Punk, Flying Lotus(true deep cut there:)), Billy Ocean, 5th Dimension, Isaac Hayes, Childish Gambino, The Cars, and Alan Parsons Project. If you are a local or just traveling through I definitely recommend this spot if you are a lover of all genres of music or simply someone just looking to break out of their comfort zone musically. 😁😁

It was cool. Reminded of the good old times you could go to record store and actually listen to music. The records were a bit expensive and the place wasn't very clean but they have every record, CD, and cassette tape imaginable.

They have stuff that I can't find in any other store period. I live in Central Iowa and when I'm in Omaha I look forward to getting my music fix! Prices are fair, not great but hey...everything costs more nowadays. And if I order it online I would have to pay for shipping so with some cds they have I'm getting it cheaper there than anywhere else!

Record stores have all but vanished from the american landscape. Homers has been around for decades and record shopping is a unique experience you cant find anywhere else around here. Browsing the racks or cds and vinyl exposes you to so much more than algorithms ever will

Great record store....very disappointed to think i discovered a bargin only to be arbitrarily up charged $80 at the register! Their mistake should not be customers responsibility. Get a price tag gun that prints ALL the digits. Not my problem! Lots of potential here...discouraging customers will inhibit the realization!

I hadn't been in Homer's for YEARS! And I'm happy to say I felt it hadn't changed a lot. I really like that. They still have so many different types of music choices. Old and new, LOTS of old. So definitely check it out if you're looking for something in particular or just go and browse through it all. It's a treasure trove.

A good selection of records. If you are looking for smaller artists, they are a bit lacking (Japanese Breakfast for one), but the overall selection is wide and they have a lot of used records that are well organized which I always appreciate and the staff is incredibly kind.

Nice to see a store that still focuses on vinyl. I wish they have more of my odd niche bands, but still lots of cool stuff to flip through. The used section is nice since you never know what you might trip across. Prices are pretty fair for a specialty place.

This is a cool shop recommend if you like vinyl and music friendly people to, if you sell CDs or vinyl to them you won't get much sell else where like discogs or eBay some vinyls they only have on discogs not in store they have limited selection on certain vinyls otherwise great place for music

Absolutely the best record store in Omaha! They have an amazing selection of all types of music ranging from oldies to brand new stuff. I do feel like their vinyls are a little pricey for being used but over all they are great. The staff was really nice and knows everything about the music and can give great recommendations on anything you want. The store was clean and well kept and even had some cute little gifts and snacks. Highly recommended!

Great place to find new, used, and hard to find vinyls. Prices are on par with other music shops in town, but the selection here is best. Would have loved to have given 5 stars but I took one off because if there's several people in the aisle, it gets cramped. Also there are crates of vinyl on the floor that you can't look through because of the narrow spaces.

I definetly do enjoy this music store as a small locally owned business. Wide selection of music in a variety of formats. However, the past couple times I've been in, the staff members on duty seemed less than thrilled to inspect the vinyl albums i was hoping to sell. Both times i was told to come back the following business day. Still though i like the store so it gets five stars.

Decent selection of used vinyl. Their demo turntable was a bit dodgey. Bad hum, only coming out of one side of their headphones. Their international section was small, but had some sick finds. Prices were fair for condition of records.

What a great place to browse & look for obscure recordings. Trust me, you can find CD's reasonably priced from $3 that are used but wrapped & checked in good condition! Plus new releases & lots of music that are back catalogued. And so many different genres of music. And posters & magazines & books & great atmosphere, I could go on.... Homer's is a huge store with tons of product. It caters to many different musical tastes but, on the day of my visit, I found very little vinyl product - new or used - in the genre I was hunting, rare or common. I bought what I found but wish there had been more. Would get 5 stars if not for this.

I absolutely love this place. Me and my wife have been shopping here for years. Some music they might not have but they will order it for you and call ur phone wen it arrives. Hands down best spot to buy some music or anything else. They also have postcards of Iowa and Nebraska. So cool.

Good local shop for a wide array of music. CD's and vinyl. My only beef is that most record shops will haggle prices on vinyl, especially when you buy more than 1 or 2 records. These guys do not, and that bums me out, since some of their pricing on new and used vinyl can be a little steep. Overall, it's a good shop and I've been going there since I was a teenager.

Always stop by when I need a new addition to my vinyl collection. Their record store days are always a big hit with long lines. I was there the day the Rolling Record Store set up their popup store and was also able to get an autograph from Jack White just steps away from Homer's. This place holds a special place in my heart and would recommend this spot to any music junkie.

It's the best and one of the last record stores in Omaha. For those of us that like a physical copy of the music we buy, Homer's is essential. Great selections of CD and vinyl with a few cassettes thrown in for good measure. Novelty items, posters, magazines, etc. Shop Homer's and enjoy it while we all can.

I love it here. The last true record/c.d. shop in the Council Bluffs/Omaha area left!!! The atmosphere is great and they sell/ buy used records, cassette tapes and c.d.s, and DVDs and I think even stereo equipment. If you can't find it, they'll order it. If they can't oder it, they'll point you to all ( if more than one) directions so you can. I hope they never close for good. I would be lost without them!!!

One of the best record stores you could walk into. They have new and old rap albums which for me is perfect since I'm trying to widen my rap knowledge. They have CDs, DVD, vinyls, and more. The store is set up weird at first look but they have everything in alphabetical order so you can always find lil wayne to drake and kid cudi to chance the rapper. The other things they have such as pop to rock and r&b to some Latin music.
