Reviews of Trolley Stop Record Shop
Amy Lynn
Such a trippy little vintage record shop! Loved the friendliness of the couple running the place. You can easily get lost in the rows of records. In they back they have comics, movies, and antiques and more. My 13-year-old loved the old posters on the wall and the large selection of vinyls. Prices were cheap too. Definitely coming back soon.
Anne Brown
This is by far the best used record store in OKC. There are tons of vintage stuff and living legend items are here. This store is connected to an antique store next door. You won't be disappointed. Come inside. The feeling is... like going back in time to all the fun things of the 90s!
Robert Stein
This place is awesome!
HUGE selection of everything media.
John and Mrs. John are just the nicest people.
Can't wait to get back there again.
R Andres
This place is incredible! Records galore, ranging from old to new, various genres, collectibles...just...WOW! Not only is this the largest, most well stocked record shop I've encountered, it also has a full antique shop on the other side of the building. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable and are willing to buy, sell, and trade!
Elizabeth
Absolutely loved visiting here. They have a massive selection of records.
Mike Boswell
First time in. Super cool place. Tons of stuff to look at. Bought a Bestie Boys prom poster that was deffintely from a music store.
Clayton Faircloth
Huge selection and very friendly owners, they keep some dogs inside but they are very nice
John Gingerich
This is the most amazing record store you will ever visit.
The owner, John Dunning, has been an antique dealer extraordinare for many years and now expands his passion and expertise to this venture of 10 years. Some of the walls show some of his very own amazing collections.
There are records and music memorabilia for all eras and genres.
33s, 45s, 78s, CDs, cassettes, posters, songbooks, sheet music, buttons and more.
If you are searching for something in particular, try the Trolley Stop Record Shop.
They even have a stage and music events.
Michael D Mercantini
Great shop. People who run it are straight forward, but very nice! Got some great deals. Cool place, cool people!
hamby
Great Folks here! Atmosphere is very relaxed. The owner immediately greeted me and helped find my section. Prices are great and the selection is more than you could look through in a day. Come early and pack a sack lunch.
Stephen Michael
Must stop for all music lovers. Such an awesome place I can spend hours digging thru the massive selection of vinyl. Super cool owner super cool shop super cool everything
Todd Bob
One of the coolest stores I've been in. Massive selection, friendly owner, food prices, and very clean LPs. Easily described as a picker's paradise. Love it!
Crispito
Super unique record store! From the building itself, items for sale, and live music...5 out of 5 for me! I'm always tempted buy something other than records when I go! Cash only.
Mary Selid
Crazy amount of finds in this little hole in the wall. If you have the time, I think you could find some amazing things!
Faith Stuart
Best selection of music in the OKC area! Definitely a place you can spend the day!
Dan Mac
Didn't care for the small barking dogs and headache inducing contact high upon entry, but they seem to have an abundance of records and other items in a unique vintage building. I will have to come back to peruse the stacks when the band is not filming a music video, as I did not want to become an extra. Also check out Guestroom Records OKC and 3 Dachshunds in Edmond for an equally great selection.
thomas stewart
It was a great place to find records of all kinds. Record players record holders they were all there the guy has a little bit of everything definitely worth checking out.
Paul Blair
Lots and Lots to dig through! Mostly older vinyl, but lots of speakers, turn tables, antiques, DVDs, CDs, tapes and more. Just off Pennsylvania Ave in OKC, right down the road from The Plaza District.
Joseph Geeslin
You probably could find any record made from 60s to the 90s. The owners are a sweet, hippie couple. Down to earth people. Cash only.
John Fincher
What an incredible record store. We will be back again soon.
Ashli R
Best record shop in OK! I found exactly what I was looking for and the prices were much better here then other stores we had visited. The owner was working and was super friendly and talked to us, making a genuine effort to get to know his customers. We’ll definitely be coming back and supporting this small business. Make sure you bring cash or you can get cash from the ATM a couple stores down.
Guy Peters
This record store is the best in Oklahoma City and the surrounding neighborhood. It has the most incredible selection of LPs and 45‘s that I’ve ever seen. And if you follow their social media you’ll find out about shows that come to the stage. It’s a great place to spend a couple of hours to find some thing that you used to listen to in your childhood.
Camille Dudney
Always solid. Always laid back. Always stocked with classics, rare finds, and something you didn't know you had to have. Go by and roam the stacks, take it the decor and support a local business that is a true blue, no frills record shop. One of my favorite things in OKC, by far!
Heather “Halo” McMillioan-Blay
The most awesome record shop! The guy that runs it is very knowledgeable and knows his music just like me.. Definitely a go to for unique stuff!! Go check em out!!!
Dean LaMean
This place is historic and well worth a visit.
Erik Catalfu
Had a fun time going back in time with some of their collection pieces. Staff is friendly and willing to help. They will play records for you so you test quality. Some prices were fair and reasonable. #CASH ONLY#
Will Bates
This place is, by far, my favorite place to go record shopping. I never know what I am going to walk out of there with. The owner has one of the most extensive collections I have ever seen.
Amy Jackson
The comment someone left that said “smells vintage” - well, if vintage smells like skunk and like being inside a cigarette then yes it smells vintage. Also there’s no where I saw that advertised it’s cash only. It’s 2022 - I never carry cash! The selection is great and the aesthetic of the place is fun but that’s it.
Mike Eveleigh
Nice folks, store IS packed with music!
Matt Francis
This is my favorite record store in OKC for used vinyl. The selection is terrific, the owner is helpful, and the prices are pretty descent on most records. I highly recommend this Trolley Stop Records!
Christopher Gunter
Shopped here for the first time and I was really impressed. You see I'm an R&B junkie and I literally found everything I was looking for! Prices are reasonable. I highly recommend if you're looking for a little vinyl ⏺️
Nicole Jones
This place has the best selection and amazing prices! Have to see for yourself the pictures don't do the place justice, there is so much more. Very friendly people!
Ryan Kennedy
The store is pretty messy and cluttered, but it allows for you to explore and dig through stuff to find that hidden gem you were looking for.
Robert Cowden
The guy that owns this place is amazing, he has walked a walk for over 50 years, ive personally have known him for 35 years, all i can say is this man has been passionate of Oklahoma, passionate about vintage, valuing the commitment from the people who established the base lines that are revered from Woody Guthrie to the Beatles, to Jimmy Hendrix, to the no name guy that produced amazing sounds, thats why this record store is open, not to make money, his bills have been paid for a very long time now, he just wants to share the pearls of the past. You will gain, dont know to explain, i just know as a human you gain a couple points from hanging out hear for a bit, not from buying something, but being exposed by an amaxing ambassador of valuing vintage coolness...
Dawson Destroyer
Best record shop in the city, visit them if you haven’t yet
Tim Donnelly
I love this place! It's just full of any kind of music you could want to find. I have filled some big hitters on my wishlist here. Some prices seem high and some seem low. So it's up to you to find the deals and what your willing to pay for what. I could have saved 5 bucks here and there but when you find a great origonal pressing of something you love, you grab it!
Nate B
The guy had a lot of gems, but it took way too long to dig through the clutter. He had records everywhere and genre were all over the place. A lot of records didn't have a price, which is hard to negotiate when he comes up with a number off the top of his head. The owner seems nice enough, but without these few tweaks I don't think he sells as much as he could. Also a listening station would help. I collect cds too, but that was a whole new can of worms.
Scott Weinert
Tons, and I mean tons, of stuff! If you like to dig through stuff to discover a great find, this is the place. It is mostly organized, quite well by genre, but a lot of stuff is not priced. I found a copy of One Night In Bangkok by Murray Head with picture sleeve that I had been searching for for several years. Great selection of 45s from all genres! The prices are a little high, I’d agree, but you can make a deal with the staff. It is cash only, so bring some greenbacks!
Eerie Clark
Not for casual collectors. Very garage-sale style but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Come with cash and time to pursue and dig. There's a lot to look through, take your time. Found me a few gems here.
camp 969
Any review with less than 5 stars p's me off. This is a used, local vinyl store. The prices are completely fair and marked, except for new incoming LPs. I like digging through the unorganized stuff, that's where you can find a real treasure. And you can exchange anything that your not satisfied with. Just like a lot of local businesses, this place is cash only. No problem, plus there is an ATM next door. And there is not much new artists, also no problem. Ignore the stupid complaints below and support your local record shop. This place is 😎
daisy barrett
The vinyls are in very good shape. I bought a Doors top hits vinyl and it is absolutely pristine. The thing is older than I am and yet there are 0 skips and 0 scratches on it. The atmosphere is really cool and when you walk in you feel like you've discovered a gold mine. Also when I went there the owner had his dog with him and I got to pet him. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high quality vinyls. I bought mine for $20.
Michael Beck
The owner is awesome. I love the place!! So much to look at . Everyone needs to check it out.
Christina Night
Wonderful collection of records. Has that old bookstore smell and stacks everywhere. The owner was very nice and didn't mind at all that we browsed longer than the store hours. Very very reasonably priced as well. I will definitely be going back again.
Raven Hawks
It's a nice place! They have a bunch of vinyls all arranged by genre as well as era. They have an area for performances which was neat. The guy that runs it really know his stuff. If you're looking for something specific, just ask! He will lead you to it. Overall, cool place.
Rip Riley
Great place to visit. I wound up picking up CDs of some vinyl albums I’ve had for years.
Matt & Lori Fearey
A lot of records which is cool, but be careful when buying “older” vinyl. I bought a Nina Simone record that was labeled as “1969 still sealed.” I got it home and it turns out it was a 2011 reissue. It could have been an honest mistake, but pretty frustrating since I paid a higher price that the 2011 is worth.
Eric Parker
Took my little cousin in to buy her her first vinyl and we were blown away. You can tell the passion they have for music in there. We ended up in there for an a while browsing around. There is also a lot of interesting things from concert and tour posters to old OKC things. Really cool and I plan of going back often.
Guadalupe Anaya
The incredible amount of records in here will blow your mind! The owner is very friendly and checks on you to make sure you’re doing well! He knows exactly where things are and was able to walk me to exactly what I was looking for. I ended up leaving with a massive box of records that I have no clue how to ship home lol. Don’t be fooled by some of the outside covers, the records are in amazing condition! Just an FYI it’s cash only. I will be back!!!
Buck Christie
This place ROCK'S! One of the guys there 'Red' is off the chain Cool ! They have any CD every Vinyl you could imagine. I recommend anybody that's into records or CDs stop in and holler at Red, he'll hook you up.
Ellie Blue
Stuff that I can find at a thrift store for a couple of bucks is at least $8 here. I enjoyed the selection but stuff with dollar store stickers on it can be even more than $8 depending. Think store owner just tries to gauge how much money he can get for each item. I want to know how much everything is without guessing or having to ask. They could at least take the stickers off so we don't think the price is cheaper than it actually is.
brian pfalzgraf
Man I was overwhelmed. Hopefully Ican get time to go back before my short stay. They have a lot of stuff. Not to mention the antique section is freaking Awesome. Overall I Loved the place.
Alphonso Shurabi
True record collectors look no further, you can find just about any vintage record here with a bit of digging. Beware though, cash only. The owner is very chill and there are tons of dogs laying around everywhere. Overall, this place has superb vibes, highly recommend to serious collectors
Andrea R.
Lots of records!! Smells like vintage, the staff is friendly enough-they let you browse. They have a great selection of other vintage items as well. I enjoyed going down memory lane with some items.
jj Finigan
The owner is pretty cool, he bought some albums from me, nice shop....I have a ton of vintage 60s and 70s..but you picked thru a few I brought in...even removed inserts on albums without my agreement...then lowballed...so...in retrospect...that's exactly why I didnt let you see my collection. Untrustworthy beyond belief....just saying. ..btw..I made 25,000 off most of what you rejected...still making bank lol..you should research.
Deborah Dill
Excellent collection. All albums are in mint condition. John is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Trolley Stop for those getting into vinyl and for finding hard to locate titles. The prices are great too!
Ren55 M.
First time here since we are from Texas. It was a bit overwhelming since there were so many records but they were organized. The guy at the counter was very nice and friendly. I do recommend.
Chandler Peckham
Small space but don't think that means there selection is limited. They have just about anything you could possibly want (except for new stuff like the Black Keys). Great customer service. The owner will help you find what ever it is you're looking for. Also major props to this place they have 8-tracks. The only thing and I mean the only thing keeping them from getting 5 stars is no new bands like the Black Keys.
Kelly Thompson
This is a great record shop and a cute concert venue. They have a very large and diverse selection of records. I saw Pokey Lafarge here and the sound system was great! They had chairs set up for people who wanted to sit, standing room up front, and plenty of room for dancing as well.
Amy C
I went to sale some records and they bought a few at fair price. I did not sale my cassette tapes, however the owner did give me some helpful tips on how I could make a little money for them. The owner was very nice
Zachary Beaudoin
Worth the drive!
Me and my wife are from NM and planned a trip to OKC, while there we took a stop at the trolley shop.
Amazing variety, friendly staff, and what’s better than having a bunch of dogs as company?
Wilfredo Melendez

Nancy Salisbury

Steve Lackmeyer
Without a doubt the best collection of vintage music and fiiled with history. The owner John Dunning is himself a veteran of our local music scene. Trolley Stop in in the old Penn Theater and it doubles as a concert and event venue.
Drew Ditto
Really really cool atmosphere, everything is well organized. But the used records are pretty pricey, much over average market value. Go here if you are looking for something specific.
Crystal Thomas-Phillips
Big selection, very knowledgeable.
Sixgun Sal
God I love this place. Old school record shop you can spend hours if not days digging through crates. It's well organized or the employees are always willing to help of course
Knothere2 day

One of the best record shops in OKC, lots of vintage rock and pop. Trolly shop has a massive inventory and even hosts jam session for local musicians from time to time. If you want to find a huge selection of LPs, CDs, and even Cassettes, you need to go here! Only downside: cash only. Still, 5/5
Kobi Ederi
