Paul is extremely efficient, professional, and great at communicating. He is an absolute blessing to the musician community. Need a repair done on your rig but have a busy schedule? Tell Paul when your next gig is and he will either have it repaired before or loan you an amp or guitar to use while he finishes repairing. And his costs are always fair, much lower than guitar center. Thank you for your service Paul!

Very interesting shop. Thought it was a music store, which technically I guess it is. It seems primarily a repair shop for amps and guitars. Owner said stock was down due to Covid. There were amps everywhere, most were waiting for repairs. Some were repaired and for sale. While I was there a musician in from Nashville bought an off brand used guitar and was thinking about buying an amp. There were some vintage gibson, silvertone, and Sun amps for sale. Some in need of repair before they could be sold. I was traveling from West Cost, and so I really couldn't be serious about buying anything. However, if I was local and in need of amp or guitar repair I'd definitely go here. The owner is a very nice guy, who caters to locals. and is very knowledgeable about amps, tubes, & guitars.

While the cosmetically-minded might not appreciate this place, the practical, the ethical and the musical will be quite pleased. The dust all over Paul Webb's shop is not the product of neglect, but rather the consequence of attending to electronic and mechanical maintenance of a never-ending river of musical instruments that flow through his hands. What one may be tempted to regard as clutter is actually the result of all the consignments and repairs that many New Orleans musicians have entrusted to his able hands. And it It doesn't take one much time or effort to deduce why that is the case. As has always been the case over the three years in which I have been his customer, I was quickly in and out with everything I needed, armed with newly gleaned insight about both my equipment and that of others. While the sea of guitars and amps on the walls and floor clearly indicate that this shop serves mostly rock and rollers, woodwind and brass players like myself will be pleased to find their basic consumer needs understood, valued--and met. Pricing is fair to both consumer and proprietor, adding to the message of honesty and true service. Paul Webb's shop is a humble, gritty, forthright, efficient and most informative one-man operation run by one who is always (without exception) in the middle of a repair, but who always pauses that work enough to look everyone in the eye, greet them, and quickly help them to find what they need. He clearly relishes the satisfaction of having truly earned a living by consistently hard, smart and meticulous work, and is just as clearly determined that even a national virus pandemic is not about to stop that. I am glad to see that there are still businessmen who still understand the power of treating others as they, themselves, would like to be treated. Most highly recommended!!

Great local shop in the Bywater and easy to spot from the street. Made last minute plans for a quick pick up of a violin shoulder rest, but will definitely plan to explore the shop the next chance I get. Musician behind the counter was friendly and knowledgeable; I didn't have the chance to chat much however, I did overhear his conversation with a fellow guitarist. 4 out of 5 will linger around again.

Kindness and a neighborly manner are beautiful traits in a human when present. Paul works with his customers to ensure that everyone wins. As I perused the guitars hanging up, I took note that each one was set up, had good clean strings and fretboards and also seemed to be intonated. This isn't always the way in a music store. I came back to Paul's store because, though I didn't make a purchase upon first meeting Paul in the last year, he was very genuine and respectful to me...and treated me like a human being which I do not take for granted. I also prefer that my business go to a man who cares and not a bloated corporation. Thank you, Paul. Happy anniversary to your store, and may many more years be celebrated.

I don't think it can be said often, or loudly, enough, that having Paul Webb available to work on our instruments is one of the greatest gifts New Orleans has to offer. He would cringe to be described as a master craftsman, but there's no question that that's what he is. He's also a kind & generous person, & he's incredibly mindful of making his store a safe space for female musicians. As a female guitarist who's been condescended to, kissed, touched, & mansplained in almost every other music store I've ever used (there was one exception in Providence, RI), I can't tell you how much I appreciate the thoughtfulness behind that. Mostly I appreciate that my guitars play like dreams. And I find that, in much the same way that my dad & uncles used to pop into the hardware store on Saturday mornings just to wander the aisles & chat with the fellows who ran it & talk about stuff I didn't understand, I pop into Webb's to talk to my friend Paul & chat about guitars. It's my happy place & I always learn something. Bring him a beer if you're going to do that. He deserves it and it's just polite.

I've gone to Webb's for around 4,5 years and there wasn't a single ..really ..a single time that I got frustrated or even not just happy with his work. I've gone there for different reasons: buying stuff, fixing stuff, etc ..every time I get out of there I'm very happy with purchases or the stuff that he fixed. paul has a really good hand and talent for what he does there. I had a VERY stuck tuning slide on my trumpet. I'd all but given up trying to find an actual trumpet technician in the city of New Orleans, but one call to Paul and he was ready to take a look. I dropped it off Saturday and it was fixed THE NEXT DAY. Price was very reasonable. You really are in good hands here. Highly recommended, better call Paul.
