Great selection and environment. One of the best record stores I've been to in NOLA.

Employees are soooo smart. They know so much about music, I feel like there should be a tip jar. Best prices for records in town. They must only mark them up $1 or $2 from distro prices. Amazing selection of $3 and $5 records, and tons of tapes too. And they have cheap used books and VHS tapes! I could stay here all day. I’m a loyal follower of Christ now.

Looking for a super obscure, too-cool punk rock record? This is your spot. If you're a tightwad or looking to round out your oldies collection this is also a gem of a spot to check out. I scored 5 great classic records (all previously well loved, but definitely playable!) for less than the cost of a new record at many shops. I'd love to see a broader collection of some stuff, but if you're into esoteric vinyl you should definitely shop here.

If you like punk or alternative music, casettes or vhs tapes, this is the place for you! It's chock full of zines, books, all kinds of old and new tapes. Hand made prints, comics. It's so amazing, upon first glance it's small, but we spent an hour in there and I don't think I saw everything I could see! I asked the person running the store to suggest me some albums and they recomended me a couple tapes I can't wait to listen to. This shop gives me hope that diy, alt, and punk art/music is still alive and in New Orleans! I'll definitely be back when I come through again. Tldr: If u like music/art GO TO THIS STORE!

If your taste in music leans towards the more aggressive/experimental side of the spectrum, SIC is the place for you. Locally owned, volunteer run, with record prices that make you wonder if the tags are wrong. PLUS: several shelves of noise cassettes!!! They buy gently used releases as well, plus stock inventory from local/touring projects. Love this shop, but be warned: I've never left without dropping a minimum of $40.
