Such a cute shop! Initially went in there just to browse but saw the coolest blue bass that I knew I had to have. (They also have a great selection of other stringed instruments). Also personally it was definitely better to support a local store instead of making a similar purchase at a larger chain. The guy (who I'm pretty sure was the owner but also did not ask - all I could really focus on was the really cool bass and the really hot weather) was also super helpful!

Great store with good vibes. Owner is a very interesting person, take your time and talk to him-you will find a lot of new about music. Please, check this place first before heading to chain stores.

Best eclectic shop for musical instruments! A+ customer service. This is one of my go to spots every time I visit New Orleans.

Great shop and wonderful owner! Visited twice on my visit to NOLA, you’d be surprised what you’ll find here! ended up with some great memories of fab conversation and a banjo to take home!!

Let me take a cool guitar back that ended up with just a little too much much open E string buzz for I was looking for but they threw in a case and were awesome

Went in to buy what one needed. So thinking I needed a kapo bought one. A few blocks away, remembering I'd already bought one a few days ago; back I went. He exchanged it for what I really wanted, a tuner. I'll be going back again it is a unique place indeed.

This is a very welcome addition to New Orleans unfortunate dearth of musical instrument stores. The inventory is delightful, full of strange and wonderful instruments from all over the world - this is anything but the typical, dull guitar/drum/keyboard music shop that has become standard. Apart from more serious instruments, there is a vast selection of lower priced, small instruments and noisemakers of every description. Anyone, young or old, who likes making noise will feel like the proverbial candy shop kid. Also, they have a small but growing vintage clothing section, so even if you hate music it might be worth a visit.

It’s great. Also one of a kind. They have a really interesting and broad collection of instruments and sheet music. It would be a cool store to look around even if you don’t play an instrument, and a lot of the stuff would make great gifts and collectibles, too. It’s not just a generic supply store.
