Fabulous, 10 stars wouldn't be enough. Impeccable, very thoughtful service. Sal the owner takes care of his customers Had gone with my wife to service her saxophone. We also bought a high quality hard case. They threw in freebies, priced everything very reasonably and we were so glad we chose to go there. For all your music needs look no place else. Its the best in the whole wide world

Mr Michon sold me a Hunter Flute for $273 &has been good source of fun since 2012 since my Gimeinhart got destroyed by Katrina in 2005 !!!!

My mother passed away this week and I wanted to do a recording of a flute piece for her service. However, my flute needed some keys fixed and I thought the headjoint cork may have been out of place because I was having a problem with pitch. I took my flute to the shop and both Sal and Samantha helped work on it while I waited. They fixed the keys and they helped me determine the root cause of my pitch problem which ended up not being a flute problem, but an issue with me not closing up the holes on the flute completely. They didn’t charge me anything for their service and they fixed my flute while I waited. I would highly recommend this shop to others who need instrument repair or need to purchase instruments. Sal and Samantha were both super nice and seemed very knowledgeable. I am so appreciative of them fixing my flute and helping me with my pitch problems so I could feel more confident in playing at my Mother’s service.

Every time I’ve gone in, it’s been an excellent experience! I’m always quick to be helped. They are very knowledgeable and know what they’re talking about. Friendly, straightforward, happy to help. This last time I went to get plugs for my flute, and he put cork in the keys in like 30 seconds and didn’t even charge me! He reminds me of my band directors from high school and college, very cool!

The repair technicians are the best I have ever encountered. Their work is meticulous. My instruments sound better than they ever have before, and it is all due to their careful adjustments and attention to detail. I would not trust my horns to anyone else. Beyond that, the prices are excellent, the service is personal, and the atmosphere is family-friendly.

Was looking for a rental baritone and Mr. Michon and his staff helped me out quickly and professionally. He is clearly well plugged-in to the NOLA brass scene and I felt well taken care of. When I had an issue with the horn they fixed me up in no time flat. If you have (or are) a student or just need your professional horn serviced I highly recommend and many brass players I know feel the same way.

For a true musician all the way to a beginner. This store is the absolute best musical instrument shop in south louisiana. Sale and repairs are not only fast and efficient but extremely reasonable. The owner is an old jewelry maker who could lay your diamonds in your antique rings. Instead he and his wonderful and inspiring staff choose to be meticulous with any year instrument you bring to them. They will save you money and deliver you what you need as a growing musician for many many years to come. They deserve your business and you deserve them.

I took a trumpet here for repair after the place I used to use closed. Michon's was a *lot* cheaper and they didn't ask for a deposit which was a nice suprise. They did a good job of cleaning the instrument but missed the repair that was needed. However, when I pointed that out, they fixed it on the spot and didn't charge me anything extra. I'll be back as a result. I also like the fact that they sell vocal score books from a good selection of musicals, instruments, cases and a small range of accessories. Sal is a friendly and talkative chap, though (I understand) not to everyone's taste.

Fantastic experience at Michon's today. Mr. Michon fixed my step-daughter's flute in less than 10 minutes and didn't even charge me since it was a simple and quick repair. Highly recommend this shop to anyone wanting an honest and knowledgeable repair!!

Awesome service, went in to inquire about some guitar string for my two accusatics , he immediately jump right in replacing and tuned on of them, he told be the second needed repairs , I had no clue , I admired that he refused a sale and kept it honest inquiring me , he could have simply made the sale selling and tuning on a worthless broken instrument. EXCELLENT PLACE!!!!!! Everyone that works there are amazing people. Sal is the best person to deal with . I wouldn't go anywhere else for our kids needs in music . Thank you to all that has helped us throughout the years . If your kids ever have the itch to play an instrument, please go and see them . They can help in every way Thanks again guys

The store isn't organized for customer browsing, but there's always an employee or Mr. Michon nearby and ready to help. I've had mixed results with instrument repairs, so I'll leave it up to you to fully explain what repairs are needed and how soon.

I've been going to Michons since 2nd grade. I love him and the workers so much. They're really like friends and family. He's the best. My friends and I go talk to him all the time when we go to the mall and he always remembers us :) he's so funny and really good with instruments. Sometimes he can get u in and out in 10 mins with no pay. He's honestly the best person and has the most honest helpful music store. He's not the great with clarinets tho 😂🙄

From the moment I called the store I couldn't have gotten a more friendlier person. When I got to Michon's and met Sal he was very honest with me about my daughter's clarinet and told me with a little fixing up that I would have a 600.00 clarinet. I bought it on ebay which concerned me but Sal said bring it in to me and let me at least look at it. When I went in Sal said that I didn't do to bad because it was a Selmer Bundy which was a good piece of equipment. I would not go anywhere else for my instrument repairs. Thanks Sal
