I’ve been renting a cello from John and Paula for about a year now and I’ve got nothing but positive things to say about them and their shop. Everyone who works here is absolutely wonderful— they know their subject very well and are eager to help with any issues that may startle a beginner like me (e.g., a broken string). Even when I decided to switch down to a 3/4 size after a few months due to an injury on my left hand, there was never any judgement— instead, they let me try out a few different options and helped me find the cello that sounded best to me (and you'd never guess this one was smaller!). So, to wrap this all up, if you’re a current or prospective string player in the New Orleans area, you should definitely check out Keller Strings. Whether you’re looking to buy, rent, or need maintenance for your instrument, you'll be in great hands at their shop.

I’m relatively new to the area and a piece of hardware on my violin’s chin rest failed. They were able to fix it in under 20 minutes while I sat in the parking lot! They were so friendly and helpful. I plan on going to them for all of my violin’s needs in the future.

Incredible store with lovely service. I’m a VERY novice cello player who wanted to surprise my husband with a song at our October 2018 wedding (we live out of town and I started learning in July). I called Keller a month or two in advance to put a hold on the cello and when I arrived they very kindly put the tapes on for me (ha) and set me up. The entire process was seamless thanks to their fantastic inventory and customer service!

They did a great job fixing my Double Bass. They showed me exactly what was wrong and what they would do. When I got it back it sounded great! If I ever need to get work done on this instrument again, I'll definitely come back here.

Mr. John and Ms. Paula are extremely knowledgeable and willing to work with you. The level of customer service is bar none, even from their store helpers (Luciano was wonderful today). I travel over four hours to have them look at my instruments and will continue to do so. I was unable to find a shop within that area for appraisals, and I'm glad I found Keller Strings.

Keller Strings-super love this little shop and glad I found it. They breathed life into my old student violin. After American Airlines lost my concert instrument ten years ago; I was devastated and rarely played enjoyed playing my student violin. New pegs, new tail pin, new teflon cord, and they replaced the sound post. Sounds better than ever. The owners are from my hometown (Kansas City, Missouri) and make me homesick. Paula is amazing to work with. :)
