Very nice. Guitar lessons here are amazing. You play songs in 2 or 3 weeks and it's amazing. Friendly environment and good instrument fixes. Has some cool guitars for sale and has what you need to get playing.

If Music is your thing, this is the place to be. Guitar repair and custom work. Drums and School Band gear. Private Music lessons on guitar, bass and drums. My Son and Daughter take Guitar lessons from Mr Jody and Drum/Percussion Lessons from Mr Donnie. They are such caring and attentive people and my kids absolutely love them. They've learned so much in music.

Off the beaten path, Tucked away in a little residential area is this gem of a music store. The owner is very gracious and knowledgeable. They don’t have a huge selection of amps etc. but they do have a pretty good selection of both acoustic and electric guitars straps, and pics. The owner does offer a special order of items to be shipped to you or picked up in a store, though that wasn’t an option for us because we were only going to be in town for a few days.

The workers are extremely friendly, they had just the things I needed for band, and overall it was just an amazing experience. Yes, it is a tiny store and it isn't that well known like Guitar Center and other places. But it is an amazing place, and you know it just felt like you're home. (Also the guitar lessons are great and you learn a new song every lesson, and new notes, bet Guitar Center doesn't do that now do they.)

Its a great little music store. Everyone there is friendly, and the owner is very knowledgeable about the gear they sell. Jody also does repairs, and guitar setups.

Jody sells and services a lot of used gear, so if you need hard to find parts for your favorite vintage guitar or amp, etc, Jody's Music is usually a good first stop in the Baton Rouge area. I found a tremolo bar for an '89 G&L SC3 there just this morning. Check him out if you've got business in Walker, LA.

Jody's is the real deal. I had the worst experience gifting a violin to my love. I bought a violin online that was in exceptionally terrible condition. I went to Guitar center, Ziegler, and Music Mart. None had the selection and price or the customer care. Would you believe Jody was the one who listened to my experience? He listened to me rave about the wonderful man I was buying this violin for? Then, he tuned and played the violin to prove it was great, sound purchase. And u know what? It was! My husband of nearly 10 years was elated with the gift, down to the color. Jody's is the best! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!
