So we went guitar shopping. But they were super busy and under staffed. And we felt terrible having to go get the little guy to come unlock guitars for us to not fall in love with so we ended up leaving without a guitar. But we're gonna try again another day. If 11am on a Wednesday is a super busy time, when are they not busy??

This location has always been my spot for any and all of your sound\music needs! I've been going into this store since it opened. I play piano and as many of my fellow players know, there not cheap. I went here month after month- year after year, and was always welcomed from the front door to whatever section I was in. Finally, I ended up purchasing the Roland Juno DS 88!! I love it! I also purchased two monitors (speakers) at the same time. DANTE' whom is AMAZING, definitely hooked me up with everything from sales to chords I would need. ASK FOR DANTE! He's always working, so it's hard to miss him! I was just in there recently to purchase a new mixer bc mine burned out. Trust me y'all, when it comes to music equipment- you get what you pay for. So this time I got a Yamaha mixer WITH INSURANCE (I always purchase insurance even on used equipment like my monitors) bc you never know with electronics. I'm very very happy with all my experiences at this location. They really care about what you want\need here. They won't bs you and try to over sell you! I have begun guitar lessons here. The recording rooms are great spaces for the lessons. My instructor and the person who runs the instructions have been terrific. I am enjoying the lessons and how they are done. I also made my guitar purchase here and the staff were so helpful to me in choosing an instrument. They did not point me towards more expensive guitars but showed me where to start and let me go from there.

Pleased with Guitar Center. I had them change the strings and set up my Fender for me about a year ago. It plays so much better and has a much better feel on the fret board with the new set up. I'm very pleased with their work so I just dropped off my "new" to me Taylor DN5 to change the strings and set the neck. Again they took care of me right away. They asked me questions to make sure they knew what I wanted. They answered all of my questions about the set up and some accessories I am interested in.

Placed an order on Sunday with musicians friend. Got notification of my purchase. Paid more to get 2 day shipping since I wanted it in time for my son graduating high school. Two days later it was still in processing. Called MF. Talked to overseas tech support which didn’t help too much. They gave me number to GC t was shipping from. Called them. Spoke to salesperson. He looked my order up and apologized it had not been shipped since it Luke have arrived the day I called. He suggested I may want to speak with manager. Talked to manager and he also apologized He made it right and my son received the bass the very next day. Sorry can’t remember your name but I want to THANK YOU for making my son a happy man getting his bass in.

Sales people were very knowledgeable and extremely helpful and they allowed my granddaughter to run around like a cuckoo bird and play the drums. Put together a little home recording setup to hook up to my Mac the Scarlett 6i6, a Cobalt from Ev microphone and of course my granddaughter left with a set of drumsticks I recommend everybody shop here way better than the internet.

This guitar center used to be good. There are multiple used items on display, either with prices and no release date or without prices but with a release date. Some consistency would be nice.

I'm an orchestral musician so I never had much need for this place but their new addition of the music and arts center gives a great selection of some very notable brands across all instruments including brass, strings, and woodwinds. Of course the price tag is gonna set you back a few, they have instruments for all skill levels from student to pro that is if you can afford it. Overall this new addition to Guitar Center really elevates it past a guitar shop.

the store near jefferson is awesome, mostly because they staff is very helpful and knowledgable and happy to talk about which musical equipment is best for you. they will also price match and order merchandise from other places if they dont have want you need. you can try out the instruments...even the drums!!!

Great place for last minute items you have to have. Only down side is it is super expensive. You can buy the exact same equipment online for 30-50% less. But when you need something in a pinch, they are great. Plus they have a nice return policy.

Like a kid walking into a candy shop, customer service isn't pushy, but is also nonexistent sometimes. I do like being able to peruse the wears and not feel pressured into buying something.

If you need a music thing RIGHT NOW, this is a great choice. They've got everything on hand. Prices are fair, hours are pretty generous and this is like the ONLY retail store I've been to this year that seems fully staffed by helpful people.

I have rented from them several times for various occasions and can always count on them to offer high quality and reasonably priced equipment. Dennis in rentals was very helpful and assisted me in getting everything I needed to make my event a success. Good place to go if you are looking to rent gear for your next event.

Let us keep this place alive for the sake of our music... we need it! Buy locally at competitive prices. We usually find what we need there and the people are friendly and helpful. Not much for the violin, but now they also included accordions and lots of interesting drums. Many used gear. They even have tools for podcasters.

Ordered an Excellent condition used Reverend Spacehawk to be delivered to the New Orleans location. The guitar looks barely used other than pickguard. Came expertly packed with a hardshell Reverend teardrop case - which I wasn’t expecting! Curbside delivery was fast and courteous. I could not be happier with the entire experience. Nice selection. It is a more commercial store. Had a few jems that my son played that are on his "wish list". No negatives about the store it just is more "sterile" than the vibe we like in a music shop. Staff was super helpful when they weren't helping other customers.

Just shopped GC from the northshore for the second time in 6 months. There's a guy there named Muncy. If he's not a manager, give this man a promotion!! Great customer service both visits. Knowledgeable, helpful, accomodative, friendly.... He matched a Gibson Les Paul with a new home (mine) making everyone very happy.

My son and I are new to tuning guitars . So while tuning we popped a string . I called guitar center and the customer service was great . Was told to come in and they would change it no problem. But we have a classical guitar so it's not as easy . I could tell he didn't really want to mess with it but he did it anyway cool guy . I only had to pay for the strings . He went above and beyond . And told me important info about the strings. Long story short they are professional and cool people . Would recommend going here for a guitar and more .

Although I was Special ordering a guitar and paying a additional amount of money just so i could have it 1 day shipped and they couldn't tell me when i am recieving it and that more then likely it will be on Monday..... 4 days after the original purchase date.

Hands down the best service I ever had in my life. I came here with my mom. I was buying the wrong strings for my classical guitar, and Emily, the Store Manager pulled us aside and spent 45 minutes with us teaching me about the strings, types of guitars what type of guitar would suit me. Great service. The staff helped me pick out my first bass when I began. The guy asked me what I wanted to play, and pointed out everything I'd need. Didn't overcharge me or anything, just asked if I wanted coverage. They also didn't mind me lingering around and trying out other basses. A year and a half down the road, and I'm glad I went to GC.

Man the people here are really nice and helpful. They are comssion based, but they aren't shady about it. They listen to what you are there for and make recommendations to fit you, not them. Great store. It seems if your a beginner trying to buy whats best for you, salesman are not that interested. I still spent 150 dollars. If he would have helped with some answers from my questions, i would have spent alot more. I probably would have purchased a bass guitar. Oh well. Still an awesome store.

This Guitar Center is far superior to the one in Baton Rouge. I never felt pressured to buy the gear I was looking at. I'll be honest I was being a little complicated too but Ryan Munsey was so patient with me and helpful. It was around 8 or 9 PM and he was checking to make sure I was getting the best possible discount. I didn't end up purchasing anything that day, I did come back the next day and Ryan walked in when I was there and immediately recognized me and started to help me again. Honestly I'm not even sure if he had clocked in yet! Best experience I've had at a Guitar Center! Shout out to Ryan Munsey! You rock bro! P.s. Sorry if I butchered your last name! Went in to get an epiphone electric repaired. Dropped it off Sunday picked it up Thursday. Guitar was really falling apart and it only set me back ~200. If you're going to get your guitar fixed ask for Jerome! He's the man!!! Super helpful and knows his stuff

One of the larger, better GC's I've been in. Tons of gear, great used guitar/bass selection, and lots of accessories. Good selection of new and used guitar & bass amps as well. Stop in often, the selection is always changing.

The only reason I'm giving this Guitar Center 3 stars is because they do not carry one left handed guitar in the entire store including their Used Guitars I was told whenever they get a left-handed guitar and they send it away because they just don't sell but unfortunately since I am a left-handed guitarist that poses a bit of an issue for me the price is also very very good better than most Guitar Centers are seen throughout the United States actually but unfortunately I have to give them 3 stars for not even considering left-handed musicians other than that they're very knowledgeable and very helpful the prices to get them to actually work on your equipment is a tad bit ridiculous but that's only if you don't know how to work on your own equipment or just do not have the time other than that I recommend checking this place out if you pop your head in and check out the prices

Great place for anything music. The only time I had a problem was when I came back home from buying a guitar and there was a crack in the wood as if someone knocked it on the corner of the table at the factory and shipped it to the store. I live about an hour and a half away which sucks but I brought it back the next day and got another one with no problem. That was my only issue

I purchased my first electric guitar today and Munsy was so helpful, knowledgeable, and down to earth. EXCELLENT customer service from Ronnie in rentals!!!!! Ronnie is absolutely the best, we have been renting from Guitar center for the past 2 years. I am a writer and director at our church and thanks to Ronnie, we keep coming back, we will be purchasing mics for performances in the future!!!! However, with customer service like Ronnie provides (as well as the entire crew at Guitar Center) we/I will always be back and most important SPREAD THE WORD!!!!!! Was greeted on myvway in and by a sale associate in the acoustic room. Dont really need help with guitars untill check out, but hey was nice to be greeted and asked if I needed help. One of the better guitar center locations I've been in. Also no young kids or people trying too put on there own concert. I don't mind others playing dont get me wrong, but some locations let the non customers get a little bit too loud for a store. If you want to repeatedly play craptalica over and over buy the guitar and play it as loud as you want at home lol. But liked this Guitar Center

My first mistake might've been going to Guitar Center to look for an electric piano; Keyboard Center would've made a lot more sense. Either way, this visit to GC was frustrating on several levels. First, a majority of the displayed keyboards were handicapped in some way. Many were unplugged--some with no outlet nearby. Far more didn't have a sustain pedal installed, and the employees on this Sunday afternoon were incapable of hooking one up. The final nail in the coffin of a pleasant and productive visit was the loud and annoying gentleman who apparently chose the store to escape the rain. He was firmly stationed at one of the few working instruments, playing random notes, talking to himself without restraint, and occasionally shouting an obscene word or two. This denizen of the keyboard room made what should have been only a slightly annoying visit into one that was a painful and extremely annoying incarceration in the home base of bad musicianship.

Do not trust reviews that are anonymous. I go in weekly and love the place. NO ONE is rude, the management are great, and I have a son in private lessons... they DO answer their phones and do so politely. Was In Town 'Spinning' For An International Hair Show At Convention Center And Needed Speakers Unexpectantly. Arrived At Store And BK Immediately Moved To Action!!
