Dave is excellent at violin repair. Let me tell you my story. When I first met Dave, I could tell that he was an outstanding guy to talk to and to know. He is genuinely easygoing, light hearted, honest, and positive. Not knowing him or the others that worked at Nashville Violins, I entrusted him with a violin repair. The violin was made by my mother’s grandfather, my great grandfather. So, not only was it special but it was a present to my mother. When I brought it in, it was literally in pieces. I wanted the repair performed professionally. Dave was honest upon its inspection, restoration, and cost. He was also excited about the project which made me more hopeful and excited. I could not be more trilled about the restoration and final product. It was better than expected. The violin my great grandfather made looks and sounds amazing. Thank you Dave. I also want to acknowledge the rest of the staff at Nashville violin. They are the most understanding and kindest people I have ever met. Even though our flight got delayed upon our final meeting and pickup, they were so understanding and waited for us to arrive. Thank you so much. Your generosity and compassion meant the world to us that day. No one can ask for better service. I currently play guitar but their love and passion for the violin and other string instruments has made me seriously consider taking up other stringed instrument avenues. Love you guy and plan on/ can’t wait to doing business with you in the future.

Great service! Been renting instruments for my kids for a year now and love their service! Would highly recommend to anyone.

When I decided to take cello lessons late in life I reached out to Nashville Violins. The staff was very friendly. I was set up for lessons and continued for seven years. The teaching was great and the flexibility they gave me to change lessons when needed was so helpful. A year and a half ago I started taking guitar lessons. The transition seemed seamless. Dave has a professional staff working in the shop and teaching the lessons. They are always ready to serve you.

Brought my violin in cause I could not get it tuned. The luthier told me exactly what I needed & got right to work on it. About an hour & half later got a call all ready! I needed a new tail piece & my bridge lowered. He even installed the Prelude strings I brought in!! All for $43! I will be back!

What is this magical place?? My first experiences with the store and the staff were simply amazing. I bought an old cello that needed some serious love, and Dave in the workshop cheerfully walked me through what it needed. Though it's a busy season, he finished my project before the date expected. When I went to pick it up, he and Lindsay made sure I had everything I needed - and all at a remarkably low price. Beautiful hidden gem and kind people - I'd give them more stars if I could!

Brought my grandfather’s violin in for repair. Blinded in the trenches in WWI, he couldn’t care for it as he would have wanted. Wood worn away in places, dry as a bone. And it hadn’t been played in forty years. It needed help. I’m so glad that a friend recommended Nashville Violin.
The violin today is solid, with a lovely sound. And beautiful in a way I could not have hoped for. It’s the attention to detail, the conservative approach, the subtlety in cleaning, glueing, and making all of that invisible.
The folks are all really nice, too.

It was my first time coming here. I was nervous about going to a new Luthier but I took in my Viola after not having it serviced for a while. Kevin was very sweet and walked me through the process as he looked over my instrument.
He saw that my bridge was warped and it was time for a new one, and recommended I get a professional cut since my old one was, which I appreciated. He also helped me to get professional grade strings. Overall, I feel very confident leaving my instrument with them. Do come in and they will treat your instrument with the care and love it needs!

Absolute pleasure to do business with these guys! I took my violin in for a setup, new bridge, peg fittings, etc. and since I drove 2.5 hours from out of town, they accommodated me and had all repairs done same day so I didn’t have to make another trip back. Jessica did a GREAT job on my violin. It plays and sounds amazing. I’ll certainly be making the trip to Nashville Violins anytime I need work done inthe future! Thanks for a wonderful experience! :)

Best Violin Shop In Nashville! Excellent Instruments and Music Lessons!
I bought my first violin here and took lessons for about nine months and absolutely loved it! I had lessons from two different instructors and both were excellent!
I would continued taking lessons here for many more months if I still lived in Nashville!

For my 45 birthday I was given the best $15 present in my life. A nice rented violin from Nashville Violins. I'd never played an instrument before. After 5 years it continues to give me joy. I've been to a lot of violin shops in the last 5 years but none have impressed me as much as Nashville Violins. The selection, prices and accessories are the best I've ever seen (a lot of celebrities go there and take their kids there for lessons). You don't deal with a salesman but rather a professional violinist who fixes and can make violins. Dave is amazing. Check this place out.
