Roger is straight up the best luthier I’ve ever worked with. I am a touring musician and now I exclusively work with Roger for all repairs and maintenance on my instruments. He can even take and old guitar and make it like new and customize it to your liking. On top of that all of his “Modman Custom” guitars are some of the best guitars I’ve ever played, for all styles of music. The attention to detail and craftsmanship of his work is unmatched by any other person who’s worked on my guitars. Modman guitar gets 5 stars and is a businesses I patronize and frequent regularly. If you want a luthier who treats his clients right, go see Roger at Modman guitar.

Phenomenal luthier, even better person. I had only ever heard great things about Roger since I moved to Nashville, and they weren't lying! This guy radiates passion for his craft, and his work CLEARLY shows that. I had a setup and fret touchup done on one of my strats, picked it up last night and played well into the early morning. It practically plays itself, and is even more inspiring to pick up than when I got it. I must admit I was hesitant to have any work done anyway because it was "good enough". Now it's great, plain and simple. Got to spend some time chatting with Roger about all kinds of things from guitars to electricity to life, and he's just an awesome guy to be around. Highly polished in his field, straightforward with what an instrument needs, what it'll cost, and how long it will take. All around no brainer to trust him with mine. Look no further. I wish I'd been coming to Roger the whole time. I bought a new bass that I never really clicked with after having it set up at a different shop. Roger took one look at it, showed me what was wrong, and put the lowest, most comfortable setup I've ever seen on it. I've hardly put the bass down since. I've never met someone who is so excited to talk to you about his craft and show you exactly what's wrong and what he's going to do. Roger is a genuinely nice guy all around. He generally has a backlog, and for good reason. To echo friends who put me on to his shop, "trust me, his work is worth the wait."

I recently purchased an Epiphone "Inspired by Gibson" Hummingbird that needed a good set up to be to my liking. Roger at Modman scored a home run with this one.Living in West Nashville and frequently passing by Modman, I had always thought of it as an electric guitar-oriented shop. Until now.I decided to give it a try after reading some on line reviews and boy and howdy, I'm glad I did. I have several acoustics including a 45 year old D-28, and I have had work done at several "Name" luthiers around town. Roger is by far the best. I got the guitar back in a little over a week, and it plays like butter. And, Roger is one of the nicest friendliest fellows you'll ever want to meet. Electric or acoustic, give him a try. I think you will be pleased with the results.

Modman Guitar in the Nations is a great place. I have trusted Roger with numerous guitars and I am always completely satisfied. Pick up replacements, adjustments, new wiring harnesses for Les Pauls, replacement tuners, and awesome pro set ups are some of the work Roger has done for me. Roger keeps my guitars (and me) happy! Roger is the man! He’s done all the work on my guitars for over a year now and it’s always outstanding. Super fair prices and always fast work! About a year ago I took my 335 to a “very reputable and well known” shop to get a new wiring harness installed, where it sat untouched for 3 weeks! I took the the guitar back and brought it to Roger, who got it done in 2 days and charged half of what the other place was going to charge! I’ll never go to anyone else again! Do yourself a favor and let Roger work his magic on your axe!

I brought in my bass (about 10 years old) to get the pre-amp repaired (fried circuit board). The circuit board was not available to purchase anymore and the pre-amp needed an upgrade anyways. I ended up going with a passive system instead of active which the bass was before. Rodger did an excellent process of keeping me informed the whole way and made a very clean repair. I would highly recommend Modman/Rodger to any musician no matter if you play for fun or play professionally. Very professional. Very Affordable. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Roger Dugger is a gifted and conscientious luthier. He is so good at what he does that I have had him work on all of my instruments. I've never seen anyone do such a good job setting up guitars, and his modifications and enhancements have also been stellar. Roger also sells guitars and amps in his shop, and he sold me a truly remarkable used Gibson Les Paul with special pickups and vintage electronics for a great price. Roger is the best luthier I have ever worked with and also an exceptionally kind and modest man. I can't say enough good things about him.

I have two old guitars, a Framus, that my daddy gave me in 1974, and an Ovation, that I've had for over 25 years. The Framus needed a new bridge and a good clean up and set up and I took it too Roger at Modman Guitar. He restored this guitar so that I could pass it on to my own son. I don't think this guitar ever sounded this good in the past. Roger does amazing work. When I picked up the Framus I took him my Ovation to be restrung. I could no longer play it and I wasn't sure why it was so hard to cord. Roger has restored my Ovation also so I can play it and play it and I am so thankful to have found him.

Roger installed a gibson vibrola on my gibson explorer. He did a fantastic job and went above and beyond by taking measurements from an authentic SG with a vibrola on it. I drove three hours to have him do it after dealing with other luthiers I wasn't confident in. He did it in a timely manner and has a great shop. Thanks Roger!
