I was blown away by the staff. Very courteous and knowledgeable. If you want pedals, this is the place to go. They had some great vintage gear as well. I was happy they were able to take repairs for setups on my guitars. The repairs were quicker than expected and reasonably priced. The setups weren't quite what I was looking for unfortunately, but the guitars are certainly in better shape than before. I would recommend this store to any player in town though. Excellent resource to have.

Excellent on every front. First time in Nashville and this was our first stop. Zan and Evan were awesome to work with and had so much knowledge, made great recommendations, and made us feel like our search for the perfect dirt pedal was light work. This shop is a MUST for any gear addict. The guitar selection was great, as were the amps. Their pedal wall ROCKED. Tons of new and used stock. Remember: some of their collabs are in-store ONLY (like my new 198 Inventions DRV in OD green) 🤙

Really my rating is 10/5. I can't say enough good about these guys and this transaction. The salesman was cool, knowledgeable and pretty funny. Guitar was in better shape and sounded better than promised. It shipped beyond fast. Absolutely thrilled here. Ready to commit some acts of grunge and shoegaze.

EMS is my favorite music shop in Nashville. The staff are all very nice and they have the best selection of pedals in town. They also get a lot of cool used gear in. Their repair and set up work is also fantastic. I cannot recommend this store enough.

Can’t say enough good things about this shop. My son is 8 and loves guitar. The staff treats him like a he’s a rock star and always makes his experience great which is so cool /important for a kid. They have the largest selection of guitar pedals I’ve ever seen as well. Highly recommend checking this place out! We will be back again soon.

What a sweet little place! Been three times and always make a point of stopping by when in town. Packed with goodies… was able to find a silicone case for my Pocket Operator that I couldn’t find anywhere else. Also had good chats with the folks who work there. They have great music/instrument-related advice and overall knowledge of Nashville. 👍🏼👍🏼

This is a small shop with a friendly owner and even a friendly dog. They have a nice selection of guitars and amps, some of which seemed to be pretty rare finds. I didn't see price tags on anything, so it led me to assume that everything was on the high end. They also have an extensive selection of pedals on display. It would be helpful to have small tags on the more obscure pedals so we know what they do, a la a wine shop.

I purchased a Supro amp from these guys. They mailed it out quickly, it was packed very well and the pricing was the best I was able to find online for this particular amp. I'm not from Nashville but if I do come to town I'll drop by to shake these guy's hands.

Blink and you could miss it driving by, but you definitely won't want to miss it! I have never seen a more eclectic selection of guitars and amps in such a small store! AND THE PEDALS! They have more pedals than I have ever seen in any store! I couldn't think of a brand that I'd heard of that they didn't carry, plus a few brands I had never heard of, and some exclusive runs specifically for EMS. I have a collection of over 150 effects pedals, and I was mesmerized by their selection. I should have spent more time and money there, honestly.

Great local music store! Wide selection of guitars and amps. They have pretty much any pedal you could think of to mess around with. They can also help you with sales and consignment of your old gear that you need help unloading. Very lucky to have this shop in East Nashville!

Derek Ness is the best luthier I have ever had the privilege of handing a guitar to for set up or repair. He is an extraordinary gentleman who explains everything he does in detail for your benefit. He set up, repaired and modified multiple Stratocasters, a Jaguar, and a Pink Paisley Telecaster for me. No one on the planet will EVER be allowed to touch my rig other than Derek. My trust in him is bone marrow deep. Furthermore, the gentlemen and wonderful young lady who work there will treat you like family. In my estimation, East Side Music Supply has already out done Gruhn. They have a better Fender collection than Sho-Bud... and yes, I am old enough to have been there. EMS welcomed me in one day. They received a customer for life!

I went to this music store because they were open when every other music store in the area is closed. They stay open until 8pm most stores in the area close at 5 or 6pm. They're also open on Sunday when every other privately owned music store is closed. The staff is very helpful and doesn't make you feel unimportant.

Their guitar tech, Dereck, helped me out in a big way, regarding one of my guitars. It had been previously refinished, and that information was not disclosed to me when purchasing the guitar from another dealer in town. When I took the guitar in for a routine setup, he swiftly called and informed me of the refinish situation. I was shocked of course, and when I later picked up the guitar to try and return it, he gave me all the proof I needed prove the refinish case. Love this store, EMS rules.

They also have a very rare selection of amps and effects that is simply awesome. If your looking for something different or can't find it anywhere else or just want to just come in for a little jam on some nice vintage guitars. These guys couldn't be nicer, and will help you as much as they can. Will be coming back.

PEDAL HEAVEN They have a lot to offer in terms of gear. Guitars, basses, I even saw a Two Rock amp! But I was superrrr impressed with their guitar pedal collection. The store employee that I worked with was very knowledgeable. He took his time and listened to how I described the sound that I was looking for. Introduced me to a local pedal company out of Nashville called Rude Tech, the 3Muf-14, and it’s sick!!! Super happy with my experience. Will be a lifelong customer for sure.

I came back and Josh got me set up with the AC15 I had tried earlier in the week; he was patient in answering any question I had, and letting me put it through the paces. I had them do A fret dress and Setup one of my teles to try them out as I've heard good things. They did a fantastic job!! Very nice layout. Clean and well organized. The staff was very nice to customers in front of me. Only odd thing was i didnt see price tags on anything so i could not even think about buying with out asking for assistance that was tied up all the time i was there. These guys are far superior to West Side Music Supply and probably have the best supply of boutique pedals over any highschool in Nashville. Probably a better selection than most of the stores too, but not the internet... the internet has all the pedals. Thanks Blair. Do you ever go in a music store and the guys there just act like there in the in crowd at a Baptist church. And when you go in everyone turns and looks at you as if to say, "Hey! You're late!" And you walk on up and take a seat by your aunt who invited you, because you're back in your hometown and she pinches you on your leg, because you are late, and then you feel guilty. These guys would never do that... except for Blair, Blair might pinch your leg for being late.
