I can't speak to very many aspects of this record store/headshop. But the only reason I was there was to look for used CDs, and I couldn't have been more impressed. There was a huge number of CDs, at multiple price points. They were very well organized - even all facing in the same direction. There was an excellent selection, and the prices were outstanding. This would be a good place for anyone who's looking for used CDs to go to.

I thought this shop was small but alright. Records, cds, and other gifts predominate. Incense fills the air. They had several fair prices new vinyls that interested me. I found the used albums a bit pricey. The collection is eclectic but popular. I didn’t find many that were on my want list, but depending on your tastes you might.

I stoped in no name record after work just to see what they had. Hoping to find a l Old slayer disc but the metal section was not stocked at all. Maybe the owner ain't into that but I asked just in case somehow I missed it and the young girl behind counter asked what I'm looking for I say a slayer disc (any one ) she says hold on a sec and gives me the seasons in the abyss disc.(my all time favorite ). I'm like I'll take it she says I can have it. And she give me a couple others also. Says there out of her personal collection so for that reason alone they get five stars from me. What a great employee and I hope she reads this or hears about it.

This place is so cool. They have a wide selection of records with great pieces on all of the older ones. They also have a TOM of CD's as well that pair along nicely with the records. The smoke shop in there is fun as well (if you partake of course) and you will be able to find some fun things in there if you do not smoke or listen to music. There is some disc golf materials along with clothing and pins to make it a classic local record store.

I love this place. They sell the incense I love (Gypsy rose) and the staff is always helpful. (Totally random idea below) I do wonder though, if they could use their space better and transition away from Cassettes and CDs. Maybe not all together, but more so. I feel like this shop could be a place that’s a cafe on one side, and a record shop on the other. I’d be there constantly if it was. They could stick with a music theme in the cafe, have dark leather couches with tables that have vinyl record inlays. Cover a walk with album art. Have tons of plants in macrame planters. Etc. 🤷🏼‍♀️ just a dream I’ve had walking In there so many times haha

Know Name Records is probably my favorite local shop in Minneapolis. Excellent selection, amazing vibes, extremely nice staff. They have everything from DVD's to CD's to vinyl records to cassette tapes, awesome clothes and little knick knacks, along with a great selection of glass pipes and pieces. As you walk in you are greeted with a wonderful smell of burning incense that is also available for purchase. All over the walls and ceilings you'll find some dope tapestries and posters, all also available for purchase! I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I hope they are around for years and years to come.

This store has been here for many years. It is a staple in the Minneapolis/ Richfield neighborhood neighborhood. They have extremely friendly and helpful staff. I would DEFINITELY recommend this store for any 420 friendly shopping trips. And while they dont have the inventory of some of the larger "head-shops", they DO have their expertise and comparable products. They have music too. Pretty cool store.

We have the best prices in town for records have jerseys and all the other things that you might need for your head. One of my favorite places in the city excellent staff.

It was cool I got my bottle of (Kratom) which is a legalized organic capsule that takes care of pain and any kind of withdrawal symptoms you might have. You can find it at any smoke shop like (hideaway) in Apple valley or (know name records) people don't have to buy more drugs just to feel better now when you run out !

Not only does the store have an excellent collection of vinyl and CDs available, but they tend to have a lot of stuff that's available I all price ranges. A selection of old CDs and cassettes. As with most used music distributors, the selection is hit or miss but they do appear to have a little bit of everything. Also carries t-shirts, caps Frisbee golf discs and an assortment of other stuff. Interesting place to look around and check it out.

I live in Central Wisconsin and visit the Cities several times every year. I always make a stop at Know Name. There are stores with a lot more records and a wider selection, but Know Name *always* has something I've not seen elsewhere and need for my very large collection. I've never come out empty handed in probably 8 or so visits now. Staff seems nice enough, though I've never interacted with them beyond handing over my debit card. It's obvious that they love records and strive to find interesting selections for their customers.instead of just stocking the same crap everyone has.

Best place to go for what your needs are. Friendly staff all shift's. They will help you out in any types of music you want to hear. the salection on pipes and water bongs. Very reasonable. And the only place I found that have oils. No more, Know Name Records in Bloomington. We will miss them. Goodbye Know Name Records!!!

Rad Twilight Zone pinball machine, and other arcade units. Wide selection of hats to make your in-laws double take. They've got incense, records, disc golf discs, CD's, tapes, 8-tracks. I even picked up a 300 disc changer the other day in perfect condition.

One of the last remaining original record stores. They actually specialize in selling music and music related articles amomg other interesting items and objects. You can find all sorts of unique gifts as well as a large number of new and used albums for your tape, CD and record collections. You won't go wrong at Know Name Records as they I have something for everyone weather it's posters t-shirts hats incense or any other variety of knick knacks and pattywhacks. Once you step inside you will feel welcomed by the helpful and friendly staff and won't want to leave the comfortable atmosphere and ambiance - when compared to the commission based employees of the sterile big box electronic stores that are missing more than just the music.
