Bought a piano this winter, so happy I did! Never too old or too long of a break to learn again. Extremely happy with the purchase- no buyers remorse here with even the base model Yamaha clavinova , worth every cent ! I am glad I went to Carlson’s. they do take younger people serious and just as valuable of a customer which is very important to me for a big purchase

so *very* excited to have been able to purchase a yamaha clavinova at Carlson's Piano world! Robert was enthusiastic and helpful at every step of the way, and clearly very knowledgeable about the clavinova line. these pianos are really hard to find given global supply chain issues, but i was able to get mine in less than a week. so far i'm playing it 2 hours a day. i am thrilled also to be able to share my love of playing music with my boys. my husband has gotten on the piano several times too. this is my best purchase in a long time! Robert was great in helping me find the instrument/ model that would work best for our family. CPW is a Twin Cities gem :)

Paul was extremely knowledgeable about grand pianos and helped me compare a rebuilt Steinway with a new Yamaha. He spent close to an hour with us even though we're not quite ready to buy. I recommend this shop to anyone considering a new or used piano. Thanks, Paul! We'll be back.

I was looking for an affordable starter piano. It's intimidating walking in and seeing pianos for $10-40k. Even though we were looking for a budget piano, Paul made us feel just as comfortable and important as anyone else. He let us tinker around on "low-end" pianos, and offered to play whatever we wanted to hear on them. He never tried to push us into buying something "better". It was an overall great experience thanks to Paul and he just seems to enjoy all types of pianos in general. I would recommend this place for beginners through professionals if you are looking for a new or used piano.

My family and I have been researching purchasing a piano for some time, and finally had a day to go at try some of the models we had wanted to play. After researching piano dealers in the Twin Cities area we decided to start with Carlson's. The decision to start there was mainly based upon that it was a family owned independent piano dealer and they also had a nice selection of used pianos that we were interested in. We were greeted promptly by Paul Hardy and began the discussion of where we are in the process of purchasing a piano. He took a few minutes to understand what we were looking for and also how much we knew about the type of pianos we were looking for. He then showed us the quality levels of the types of pianos we were interested in and we then proceeded to narrow the search by our budget. Paul was very knowledgeable in the product on the floor and he was more interested in helping us find the right piano vs trying to sell us a piano. We looked at what our budget would allow in new pianos and compared those to what was available used. He then dismissed himself so that we could talk about our options as a family without interruption. After discussion the pianos that we were interested in, Paul came back and played 3 different types of music on each of the pianos, so we could get a great comparison of the sound of each. After narrowing our choice down to two, we proceeded to leave the store to get a cup of coffee and weigh the pros and cons of each piano. We then returned and purchased a Knabe WG54 Polished Ebony/Bubinga piano. It was one of the best purchasing experiences I have been involved in. We ended up spending over 3 hours with Paul and I would definitely return to Carlson's if we ever needed to upgrade.

We recently purchased a piano from Carson's Piano World. When we started looking we were very unsure what we wanted to get for our 3 daughters, who all take lessons. Paul Hardy was extremely patient with us, and was instrumental in helping us make a very informed decision on what would be best for us.
