Amazing gem of a store, this is one of the few places I've bought records where everything sounds pristine. Price wise it is not bad but the quality of the records he owns makes it worth it. The place is a bit of a mess which only makes it more of a thrill to look through. The owner is very knowledgeable on what he does and doesn't have. This is a must go to record store in Milwaukee!

I travel for work and like to hunt LP'S in different cities. This store is amazing. My taste in records is big band, vocalists. Musical memories did not disappoint. I blew my budget there but happy to pay what a vintage album is worth. Immaculate vinyl and hidden gems!

I've been meaning to come here for YEARS, especially since I got a record player & while I didn't make a purchase for my 1st visit, I will next time. Not long after walking in (maybe a min or 2), the gentleman asked if I needed any help; so to know he was quickly available for help was nice to know. The selection was pretty good, even had a lil hip-hop which was nice. If you're new to the world of vinyl, this would be a good place to check out, prices looked fair as well.

Awesome shop with a great selection of records, CD’s, and cassettes, along with some fun memorabilia for sale. A highlight of my day trip, highly recommend!

Oh my goodness - best selection of quality records (he cleans them) and the kindest store owner. He offered to move boxes out of the way for me, but back any records that didn’t go back in (they’re snug) and stayed after store closing for me and another customer on a Saturday (normally closes at 4). I’d come back in a heartbeat! I walked away with 10 records and thought the prices were very fair. Don’t worry about the space, even though it’s a bit cramped and is a few steps down from the street level, it’s well lit with the window. Come and take a look - and don’t worry, credit is accepted 😉

I travel a lot for work, I frequently visit used vinyl stores in the cities I visit. This store is in my top 3 stores visited. Absolute gem of a store, superb prices and a great selection of most genres. God willing I will definitely come back to this little slice of record heaven.

I've been a customer at Musical Memories for 40 years (1983/4) and the shop is kind of a hidden secret that I'm hesitant to reveal because there's a ton of very rare stuff that I collect and don't want to publicize to much... (grin)
Anyway; great selection, top quality and the selections are reasonably priced... I enjoy hearing the baseball games when I drop in during a summer afternoon! The main-guy, Ken, knows exactly what he's doing and has had a hand in shaping my vinyl and tape collecting skills. It's a quiet shop, but I'm always happy after I get home and get to play my recent purchases and recall days when I play the older finds. Very glad to be a customer here!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐‼️!

An absolute hidden nugget, buried in a lower level downtown brownstone. I almost don't want to review, as to give away all of its treasure. The owner is very helpful and the selection is remarkable!

I was impressed by this store. It had the great selection you were looking for, at fair prices. If the LP had a high price of $20-$40, the record was always in VG+ condition. It’s understandable why that price would be marked on them, but personally it was a little higher than I wanted to pay at sometimes.
Not to say you can find some great deals on both the used and the new records, CD’s & cassettes. I got a new record I was looking for at a very nice price, $15 was a price I was more than happy to pay. The CD selection was also great, with not too many of them extending beyond the $10 price range.
This place was absolutely packed full of music! The store had CD bins on top of the record bins, so you end up having to move them around while looking through the records. Which that in itself is a task, because most times the bin was packed tight to the point where you’d have to take a few out to look with reasonable ease. But what you’ll find in these bins are a great selection of stuff, and I’m talking ALL genres, not just rock (which they have plenty of)!
Musical Memories even has items such as rare 3/4 inch reel-to-reel releases, a WHOLE WALL full of just 45’s, and an expansive Jazz section. If you’re in Milwaukee, I would highly recommend setting aside an hour for this place, it’s worth it!

Friendly owner and interesting selection but so fully stacked that looking around takes some effort and you need to move boxes around to get to what you want to see.

(Ohio native) and blessed with a ton of high quality record record stores back home. Went out of my way to stop in on my way out town because the reviews glowed about the condition of the records at Musical Memories. I was not disappointed, I bought three albums at fair prices in stellar condition. Two were gifts and the recipient was thrilled with them and wanted to hear all about where I found them. Definitely felt like fate walking in there to find a rare pressing of a favorite album for a loved one at a price that was totally doable. I’ll be back every time I come to Milwaukee.

A true record store. This is the place you go when you want to actually FIND your music…not just casually browse. Be prepared to dig while you’re treated to an eclectic playlist of random 7 inches. Fair prices and a very wide selection. The owner is extremely nice and quite funny. Don’t hesitate for a second, go here.

I absolutely love Musical Memories. The owner is very nice and friendly. The selection is outstanding and I can honestly say that the condition of the vinyl is outstanding. Very fair prices on everything as well.

This shop has the best vinyl in milwaukee. Over the years I've bought originals of sabbath, bowie, talking heads, eno, dylan, tom waits, hawkwind, and the list goes on.. you just dont find this stuff most places without them being reissues. Prices are fair, if not a bit high, but all the vinyl is immaculate. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite record shops I've ever been to. Found some great/hard to find stuff in fantastic condition and honestly I want to visit Milwaukee again just to go back here.

Visited a few times - each time left with multiple used Jazz records, all in exceptional condition. Fair prices.
