Friendly and accommodating staff. You can tell that it is a busy operation, even throughout the evening. Despite that, the manager (I think his name is Mason), has been supportive and eager to help as we learn the ropes of both lessons and instrument rentals for the first time.

I had no idea that we had a music store so close to "home" (muskego) this is our first time renting a musical instrument for my 6th grader who is in band. our experience was great and the customer service was phenomenal!. They were extremely helpful with us as first timers and newbies. The process to get our instrument and rental was a very smooth and easy process. I thought the prices were very manageable and fair. Going into it I had no idea how much everything was going to cost. Everything start to finish was $68 which includes a starter kit and trombone rental $34 a month with insurance. Again it's my opinion that these prices were fair and very manageable. I had a great experience and they were extremely informative and helpful the customer service was beyond amazing! Highly recommend for other parents looking to rent an instrument for their child.

Very impressed with the service from this store during the pandemic. We have had 4 instruments in for service. Each time they are great about curbside drop off and pick up for service or purchases. Their pricing has been fair and the work has been done very well.

Melk isn't just the best experience I've ever had with a music store, it's the best experience I've ever had with *any* retail store; the repair of my clarinet was extremely cheap and absolutely comprehensive (I'm certain I got some free adjustment and polishing thrown in) and the staff are all friendly, knowledgeable, and very eager not just to sell a product but to help you find the right thing you're looking for at the best price. I wish they were a bit bigger so they could stock more supplies and sheet music but they're near-perfect just as they are.

We had to find a replacement violin very quickly for my son, who's in middle school. His older violin had cracked, and he was playing first chair in a school concert in two days. I was able to set up a rental through Melk Music's website - super easy and VERY reasonable pricing. They had the violin ready that same afternoon. I was blown away by what a beautiful violin we were able to rent on such short notice, at such a reasonable price. We will definitely be coming back.

I'm a drummer, and I stopped in to check out the selection of percussion equipment. Aside from the drum kit that was for sale by the door, there was very limited items for a drummer. Drum sticks, only of the Vic Firth brand (I'm a Zildjian or Pro-Mark stick person myself). Even if only Vic Firth sticks, there wasn't a dynamic range of sticks to pick from. There were also practice pads. However, the rest of the store was geared towards books and orchestra related gear, such as horns, brass, violins and similar, and the store and it's location offer the chance to provide everyone with music. It appears as if the store would be the kind to offer lessons in each of those categories, and music stores that offer that are few and far between. That said, if you're stopping in to find your favorite piece of percussion equipment, chances are you won't find it.
