I was looking for a specific Squier 70s Classic Vibe bass guitar. This shop had one. The bass was setup very well, if that was out of the box setup I'd be surprised. My bet is that the shop sets them up before they put the instruments out. The staff member that helped me out even got me a large plastic bag to put the bass in as it was raining. I haven't been to the Walker's point area in a long time, it was nice to see the area revitalized and Dave's is nice edition to the area. I'll be back.

Outstanding guitar shop!! If you've ever visited Dave's Guitar Shop in LaCrosse, you know what a special place it is. This location is, of course, much smaller than that, but it still has a nice selection of electric & acoustic guitars, basses, and amps. The service techs are top-notch too. If you're a guitar player and you live in Milwaukee, this is the place!

Great guitar shop. Visited it for the first time a few weeks ago. Kinda reminds me of Chicago Music Exchange, a place I’ve been going to for decades. The staff is very helpful, and there’s a good assortment of gear to check out. While there aren’t too many pedals, there are plenty of amp and guitars, both old and new).

Beautiful new store! The exposed girders & cream city brick is perfect! La Crosse is going to be jealous! As expected, Phil, Ben, and Ed were very helpful and went out of their way to make sure not only me, but my wife as well, had everything we needed. Great selection and knowledgeable staff, what more do need?

I brought in a couple of my old acoustic guitars that I was having trouble maintaining. The tech at Dave's did a fantastic job putting in new saddles and nuts, some of which had to be made custom. Both guitars have much better intonation and play very well. On top of that the pricing was very fair for the work. Would definitely recommend these guys. Will most likely be buying my next guitar here as well, they have a nice selection of new and used guitars.

I got my brand new guitar from this store and I had it shipped all the way to Ontario, Canada. Apparently, this model had been recently discontinued, I couldn't find any store in Canada selling them anymore, and I'm lucky I could grab one of these as I've been eyeing them for a couple of years now. It finally arrived after a few days and it was just as advertised. I'd say it looks even better in person. Thanks Dave Guitar Shop for the fantastic service as I could tell they'd inspected it and took extra precautions when they shipped this guitar.

Quiet neighborhood. Plenty of parking. Short walk from Third Ward. I needed today a specific pick, good quality capo, polish cloth, and acoustic dreadnought strings and they nailed it. Plus a gorgeous display of good to fine electric and acoustic guitars. Didn't meet Dave though the guy at the counter was cool.

I took my Taylor guitar in for a repair. The entire staff was very friendly and professional. The guitar specialist, Ed, took care of everything and had my guitar fixed in a few days. I'm so impressed! He fixed the main problem; however, whatever adjustments he did to my guitar makes it sound so much better, and so much easier to play. Great experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that put me at ease when trying out as many guitars as I wanted. I am not a very accomplished player but I did not feel intimidated sitting down and playing in the store and never felt hurried. Ended up trading in an old Ovation I had for a new Taylor. They gave me an extremely fair price for my trade. They also registered my new guitar during my purchase which I thought was a very customer focused touch. I highly recommend giving this shop a visit.

My husband and I are so thrilled that we found this shop!! We had a guitar with a cracked body and thought that maybe this guitar was done. We brought it to Dave's and when we got it back, you could just BARELY see where the crack was...and the sound of the guitar was bright and sweet! We have subsequently brought other guitars there and this has now become our "Go To" place!! Check them out, you won't be sorry!!

Fast and high quality service. I've taken my basses to several shops around the Milwaukee area and am generally lackluster in regards to the work done. The young dude who worked on my basses here did a top notch job. I had him set up my Stingray5 and Precision Bass Deluxe. He also installed a new preamp in the P-bass. The work was top tier. Both instruments played better than they have in years after I got them back. He's got a repeat customer out of me!

This is, hands down, the best shop in the Southeast Wisconsin area. Huge new showroom in beautiful Walker's Point. A very industrial vibe, exposed steel beams, and walls of cream city brick. They have the most extensive collection of new and used guitars, electric and acoustic alike. An absolute MUST STOP location for any guitar player.

Dave's has the best luthier (Phil Krist) in Wisconsin working at this location. I have taken all of my vintage guitars to Phil Krist since they opened this location. He is a student of vintage guitars and guitar repair. Phil has personally taken apart and inspected every guitar in the LaCrosse guitar museum. He has studied this craft both in school and on the job. Phil has done remarkable work on my 1958-1963 collection. Do not let Phil's youthful appearance fool you into thinking he is new at this.

WOW! I took my PRS Zach Myers in for a string change and to have the pick-up rings changed out. Also took my PRS Santana along as a benchmark for how I wanted the action adjusted on the Zach guitar. Phil said he could do even better than the Santana - hmm, really? Bottom line: he did it! Plays like butter - especially on barre chords. Thank you, Phil! You rock:)

Really a great place to buy guitars of any price range, but specifically higher end stuff. Great 90-day layaway policy and friendly service. Ben Koskick is my go to guy, just simply the best to work with. These folks are knowledgeable, something that is becoming hard to come by in the workplace today.
