For a professional violinist or musician in general, it’s always a struggle to find a great luthier locally who you can trust. I took my very expensive violin for some adjustments and a French polish. Matt provided me with an amazing loaner to use while the work was being completed. I almost didn’t recognized my own instrument, when I went to pick it up. Matt was very kind and helpful every time we spoke and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them for any service or repair in a future. Giving the quality of work I was amazed how fair the prices are.

This is the go-to shop for purchasing stringed instruments in Louisville. Mr. Lane is not only a fantastic violinist but he's also a friendly and generous salesman. They have a large selection of violins. He spent a lot of time with my daughter helping her chose the right one for her. We are very pleased with her choice and the price. He's also got strong ties with the Suzuki community which we found comforting. I highly recommend this shop. It's cozy and charming like a boutique with sofas and coffee.

They lent her a beautiful violin for the day and were very encouraging in regards to her film. They seem to be very knowledgeable and really care about the instruments. The shop has a wonderful vintage vibe with old photos of the Louisville Orchestra and carved furniture. Matt was extremely kind and helpful and I highly recommend Lane and Edwards.
