An absolutely great shop! They always have a good selection including some off-the-beaten-path stuff. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful but never pushy. I will keep coming back.
Christopher Hosner
Had a great first time experience there. The inventory is hand picked by working musicians. So everything is top notch at surprisingly affordable prices. They also stock used. Big selection of acoustic, big and little. Probably the best quality pedal selection in town. They service guitars and amps. They have parking behind the shop off Stilz Avenue.

Kickass shop! The guys are super knowledgeable and helpful. Best pedal selection in Louisville by FAR. Best of all, their tech was able to fix my old '93 Marshall Valvestate 8100 with a 4 day turnaround time at less that $200. Will be back! 🤘🏽 …

Helpful guys that give you space to look and try out. Great ukulele selection!
Shlomo Ovadya
Really knowledgeable and helpful staff/owner, high quality boutique pedals, tasty guitar selections, and a choice used pedal case. Highly recommended for musicians touring through town to get performance grade gear.
I picked up some JHS pedals gear while in town visiting, had a great experience.
Buddy Shirey
Great little music store with very friendly, as well as knowledgeable staff.
They have a really good selection of gear for the size of the store and I was very pleasantly surprised by their selection of effects pedals for both guitar and bass.
The only con I'd say is that they don't carry a ton of "budget" offerings as far as gear goes, but they aren't any more expensive than anyone else in town considering the brands that they carry.
That being said, they seem to have pretty high standards when it comes quality of equipment that they sell. So if nothing else you know you're paying for gear that's to sound good and last for a long time.
Overall it's a great store and they're local. So if supporting local businesses is important to you then they're definitely worth visiting.
Next time you're thinking about going to guitar center, go here first. They're leagues ahead as far as knowledge and customer service.

Amazing guitar store with beautiful axes adorning the walls. Great selection of amps and pedals as well. Over the top customer service!! Highly recommended.

Extremely satisfied with my experience at DBG! The brothers were very, very helpful, friendly and professional. The work that I had done on my GS mini (pickup installation) was expertly done and it sounds great. Additionally, the fee for the work was very reasonable. I would definitely do business with DBG again! Thanks DBG!

One of the best stores around. The Brothers (Dan & Vic) are super friendly and so helpful. They know their gear and let YOU make the decision.
Tim Schumacher
Cool little store. Needed some work done on my amp. I guess we'll see how the repair turns.
Update: Just got my amp back. Wow! I've been playing for an hour and it is screaming! I honestly thought it had given up the ghost, but now it sounds like new. Even better than new! I can't recommend them enough.

This store is just getting better all the time. The brothers do their research and find the best boutique brands that can easily beat the quality of the more familiar house hold name guitars. If you are looking to trade in guitars, pedals, or amps I have never been to a place that was more fair on instore credit.

Great local guitar shop! Bought a Seagull acoustic guitar here. Owners treated me great!

The DeGeorge Bros run an excellent guitar shop conveniently located on Frankfort Avenue between St. Matthews and the Highlands area. They offer fantastic deals on a multitude of instruments such as guitars, basses, ukuleles, and many more, as well as any accessory to go with the instruments such as a case, an amp, straps, picks, and so on. Their pricing is hard to beat and they are extremely knowledgable about what is sold in their store, as well as very personable and willing to make conversation. I purchased an old Japanese guitar from the 80's from the store and the DeGeorge Bros made interesting conversation about the history of the guitar and gave some insightful knowledge that has been very valuable to me as a beginner guitar player. Would recommend DeGeorge Bros to anyone!
Joshua Grimaud
Cozy awesome shop with a great variety of hand selected guitars, basses, amps, and pedals. I assume the guy I talked to was one of the DeGeorge Bros. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and down to earth. Chatted about pedals, never felt pressured, and will definitely be back!

Bought an amazing pedal for my husband from these cool guys for Valentine's Day. They're really knowledgeable, but also personable, and I really appreciate that. Their prices are fair (This pedal would have cost me $100 more anywhere else!!!) and they have a lot of unique and rare instruments to check out. They even have some exclusive guitar finishes you can only find in-house! Come visit these local treasures if you want to be treated with respect, get great deals, and have good conversations about music. Thanks so much DEGEORGE BROS! Consider us new regulars!

This is an awesome guitar shop! The guys who run it are super friendly and knowledgeable. The shop is small and cozy. It has a lot of character.
They have a great selection of used and new guitars. The used guitars are refurbished and in great condition. There are also guitar amps and accessiers. The shop also has all sorts of ukes and other small stringed instruments.
I highly recommend checking the store out.
Franco Scalzo
Always pleasant and friendly even on rainy days. They carry a great assortment of Supro amps as well as other small amps and a unique selection of guitars (particularly) Reverend brand. Very fair pricing and 60 years of cumulative experience between the two brothers.
Michael Sacks
I spend more time in this shop than I should.
Vic is very knowledgeable on basses and Dan on guitars/pedals. Excellent pedal selection, including Keeley, EGX, MXR, and Old Blood Noise Endeavors. They carry a healthy selection of Reverend guitars and Supro amps.
Danny Morton
Great shop and great guys. They are friendly and knowledgeable. They keep a great selection that none of the other retailers keep in stock. Thanks for the pedal!

Really cool place! This is where real musicians buy thier gear! If you go to Guitar Center you will experience an extreme insect infestation.

Incredible shop. Went in for a gig bag for my uke and got lost in conversation about ukes with one if the employees. Will 100% be back for strings and God forbid more ukes in the future. Can't recommend enough.

Very cool small music shop! Go check it out. They carry a bunch of Reverend which you don't see every day. My only complaint is a lot of pedals (and especially boards) are very pricey, and they carry no extended range.
