The Instrument Place went above and beyond and actually upgraded our order to a brand new sax and honored the used price. Our purchase from The Instrument Place was definitely the best we could have hoped for! My husband and I visited nearly every instrument shop in our county shopping for an alto saxophone for our 5th grader, while simultaneously exploring online purchase options. The Instrument Place didn't show up in our initial searches, and when we stumbled upon their site it definitely seemed too good to be true. We had a bit of a deadline for receiving our purchase and we were interested in purchasing a Used-Mint Condition saxophone, so my husband called to inquire about the availability of the item and delivery timeframe before we decided to purchase from The Instrument Place. The staff member he spoke to was helpful, indicated they had the item available and assured him that we should receive it within our timeframe. No one else was coming close to the price The Instrument Place was asking, so we decided to go for it and placed our order. Much to our surprise, the saxophone shipped the same day and the shipping notification indicated we received an upgrade to a NEW saxophone at no additional charge! Our student's brand new saxophone arrived in Ohio before our deadline, as promised, and it's perfect! We are absolutely thrilled with our experience buying from The Instrument Place, and highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase an instrument! We will definitely be back to purchase a trombone for our older student when he's ready for an upgrade!

These people are great! I ordered a SLIGHTLY USED (mint condition) trombone for about half the price of a new one, but instead they substituted a BRAND NEW one of the same make and model WITH THEIR COMPLIMENTS! My granddaughter will be ecstatic! The attached laminated name tag even has HER name on it! Five stars isn't nearly enough - I wish I could give them 500! THE INSTRUMENT PLACE deserve your business. I normally don’t post a review unless I’m extremely annoyed or extremely pleased. First I want to say I was very skeptical of this place before I purchased the Yamaha YAS-26 saxophone for our daughter for Christmas. She is in band and we wanted her to have something decent to get her through school and I came across this great deal from the instrument place for a used one in mint condition. I checked them out with BBB and from other articles we saw them in we saw they were a well respected buisness supplying school kids with instruments. I felt for the price I couldn’t beat it as it was half off a new one and it said in mint condition. I received it yesterday and in truth I have not opened it as it’s a gift but today I received a email from them informing me they sent me a new one as a complimentary upgrade. I will be honest I am beside myself and extremely pleased with them. I will be going to them first for all our musical needs as we have a son getting ready to start band as well in a year. I want to personally thank them for this kindness and our little girl will be ecstatic with her new sax!

I ordered a used demo Yamaha YAS-26 from the web site, but they didn't have one, so they sent me a BRAND NEW YAS-26 for the used price - $1240 as opposed to the new price of $2240. The instrument I received is indeed brand new and played perfectly out of the box. A very nice personal touch was the ID Tag attached to the case, already filled in with my name and phone number, and the instrument serial number. Very cool.

I could not be happier that I chose to purchase a student flute from The Instrument Place! I had never heard of them prior to this purchase, so I was a little nervous. Finding their 5-star Google rating gave me the confidence to make the purchase. Their prices were some of the best I could find online (the only exceptions being on sites like eBay and Amazon, which I wouldn’t trust for a flute purchase). Their lease-to-own plan is exceptionally fair, priced at only $50 up front in my case, followed by 12 equal monthly payments that result in my owning the flute. Unlike most lease-to-own programs, there is NOT a cost of leasing applied aside from that $50 “origination fee”. A couple days after making my purchase, I called to ask about order status. Jason was extremely helpful and friendly, letting me know that the flute I purchased was not currently in stock, and he offered a replacement with an in-stock flute right away. That flute was even a bit of an upgrade over what I bought! Within 30 minutes, I got the tracking info on that flute. Like I said, I could not be more impressed with their level of service. Usually, you have to pick low prices or good service. You get both with The Instrument Place. I’ll definitely use them again for any major music purchases, and will recommend them to family and friends.

As any musician knows there is nothing like a brand new instrument. it kicks your playing up a notch and really builds enthusiasm......my grand daughter was already ate up with the violin......she can't put this one down......thank you to the folks at the Instrument Place for doing more than was proposed. For the past 15 years, The Instrument Place has been an invaluable resource for the Children’s Music Workshop music program in Los Angeles and throughout Southern CA! It has been such a huge relief knowing that our students will receive high quality instruments that sound great and are easy for our young students to play. Jason and Nick are always very responsive and have consistently helped our schools work within their budget when they purchase instruments. The Instrument Place has allowed us the freedom to focus our energy on other aspects of teaching, knowing that our 1500+ students are provided with reliable instruments. They always go above and beyond by hand-delivering instruments to our local schools, making sure violins are delivered in tune and with finger stickers, pre-rosining bows, including shoulder pads, and other accessories. Wind instruments are fully sanitized and delivered with complimentary reeds and all the required accessories. We consider them to be a dependable partner and huge contributor to the continued success of our music program. It’s hard for us to even imagine how we were ever able to get through the annual back-to-school rush before using The Instrument Place!

To be honest, I was quite happy with the "used" Flute. I was concerned that the "new" Flute would be one of those low-quality Chinese knock-off Flutes. Even though this instrument was made in China, I have to admit that the key action is pretty good (even for a student model) and the tone is pretty good.
