Reviews of Atomic Records
Spectacular record store, with a super knowledgeable staff, and a huge selection of media. This is one of the best places to find amazingly rare vinyl, tapes, CD’s, feel-to-reel, DVD’s and BluRays. I frequently find this to be the best selection in Los Angeles, and the staff knows a ridiculous amount about what they’re selling. This is a must-see if you’re looking for top quality vinyl.
Steve owner very helpful and very efficient when handle recording sale his brother also has great customer service also referred his friend to us for sum bass sale. These guys are very humble and they love there job. Also they always talk to everyone that come in. Very pleasure meeting both of them.
A majority of the records are in the $6-$25 range. "The Wall" is overpriced (and that's even considering rarity, demand, convenience, inflation and cost of running a physical shop), but fun to look at. I come here semi-regularly to take a look at the jazz section, but I don't see much turnover. It's still a great shop.
Great extensive collection of vinyl records, compact disc's, and 45s. All genres and then some can be found in this gem. If you're interested in any of these, I highly recommend a visit.
i've been to this record shop a few times over the years and although this is a part of LA that i don't visit often, i do have nice memories of going through their vinyls. the surrounding area is also awesome to check out either before or after visiting. i suggest taking some extra time though because they do have a pretty well sized inventory. i hope to visit once this whole CoViD situation chills out.
The selection is amazing, the prices are amazing, the people are amazing! I'm definitely coming back. Recommend 100%!
Great store well organized with a wonderful selection, very clean with a helpful staff.
Ssssh! Don't tell anybody about this place. The best combination of selection, quality, and price anywhere in LA. Those more-famous places can't hold a candle to this one.
Great vinyl selection, not the cheapest in town. The wall has Grails but you will pay for them... Definitely some hidden gems if you spend the time to dig them out.
Summary: Exactly as the name says...small store like an Atom, big explosive selection, like an Atomic Bomb...
It is usually cramped quarters in this small store, but the selection is great for music and movies. I would recommend that people visit frequently in order for new inventory to come in (It might come while you are shopping or it will be on the aisleway on the floor in boxes not sorted through yet!). I recommend visiting there at least three times before giving up on the selection you find there. You never know what you're going to find! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and might be willing to show frequent customers a little favoritism. I noticed that other reviewers state that their collection of rap and hip hop is not so good. This is probably true. However you are often able to find nice old school Soul, R and B, Jazz, Blues, or World Music. They should attempt to get more newer music to attract more young shoppers who use the internet for their source of music these days. Like, what is a record anyways, Boomer?! A great place, with other nice shops nearby too. Small parking lot a few stores down across the street to the West of the store.
Awesome store with plenty of great finds! The 50 cent records and the free records outside are fantastic for people like me who like to learn about different kinds of music. Very, very, fair, reasonable prices. Highly recommend as a jazz record collector. I find something I want every time I go in. I look forward to seeing them re-open as soon as they can!
This is one of my favorite record shops in the LA area. They have an excellent collection of vinyl with particular focus on Rock and Jazz. If you're looking for Hip Hop, this ain't your place.
They also have a massive collection of DVDs and a section for Blu-Rays that are near the front of the store.
Pricing always seems fairly reasonable and I've found some of my favorite movies for just a couple dollars.
Love Atomic Records and I'm stoked they made it through the pandemic.
It's cool 😎 a huge selection of CDS, DVR if you can't find it there something is wrong!! …
Always my favorite place to buy and sell records. Several reasons factor in. The 2 Brothers that own it are such genuinely wonderful, patient and knowledgeable people in their trade. They have patiently tried to teach me everything i wanted to know about vinyl. I am always welcomed to bring in anything and they will patiently go thru it. Vast collection for sale as well. Love LOVE LOVE this place.
Cool place. Found some great records!
Prices on vinyl were awesome! Super helpful staff, but not as organized as it could be. Picked up a mint Elton John Captain Fantastic with all the original inserts, poster, lyrics for $5.99. Great lower priced alternative to Amoeba. Will visit now regularly.
This is a super cool place with awesome records, CDs, DVDs, and Blu-rays. Everything is dirt cheap! You can't go wrong here!
Glad to see them open again!, Excellent selection, realistic and fair prices (unlike many other stores in LA), and great, friendly staff. If you want vinyl...go here now
Atomic Records is a real gem for collectors, music lovers, nostalgists. A gold mine of collectibles, great staff, fair prices.
Amazing record store in Burbank. Great selection of used records at reasonable prices. A diggers' delight. Rick and the crew were super helpful. They gave great music recommendations and shipped all my records for me back to Brooklyn. Atomic Records was well worth the trip!
Best shop around. Always new selection of music and movies. Good atmosphere and highly knowledgable staff.
Clean, organized with an expansive vinyl selection. AR has a peaceful atmosphere (not blasting music volumes at level 10) complemented by a knowledgeable and courteous staff. Atomic has plenty of vinyl for the novice collector to the more advanced digger...all at fair market prices. Plenty of parking... they will always be one of my staple vinyl spots when I hunt for grooves. Keep up the great work guys.
Atomic Records has a small store front, but don't let that fool you. They are jam packed with music inside and lots of movies. We always go in just to look around because it's literally down the street from where we live. We have always walked out finding something that we needed for our collection at home. Honestly, there are times when we find stuff that we didn't need but just had to have. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and do some digging because when you do, you will find some gems.
After my father died, I "inherited" his vast record collection. My Dad wasn't in the business, but he deeply loved music. One of my earliest memories was going to a record store with my parents. My Dad had the best "hi fi" system when I was a child and the most eclectic tastes as I grew up. I remember listening to folk, blues, jazz and Johnny Cash in the 50's. He also loved a lot of rock music and I was surprised to find four or five Neil Young albums in his collection along side the Doors and the Stones. I held onto his 300 to 400 albums for 18 months, paralyzed with the responsibility of all this music my Dad (and I) loved. But, I'd promised my husband I would find a home for his collection before the end of the year. I spoke with a used record store in Sherman Oaks (which was very convenient for me), but was put off by their very specific "wants" and what they didn't want. Then, I spoke with the owner of Atomic Records and they made me feel they would welcome this eclectic mash of music. When we started unloading all these albums, Rick seemed really impressed by my Dad's eclectic tastes and, all of a sudden, I no longer felt guilty about "getting rid" of my Dad's music. I knew my Dad would approve. After the deal was done - for more than I'd expected (the deal was never really about money), I got a special note letting me know that a highly respected singer (whom I happen to love) had come in and purchased some of my Dad's jazz records. What a wonderful experience.
Awesome record shop! The range of musical genres they carry for vinyl is immense and are constantly getting restocked, so there's something different everytime you walk in. In addition to their vast record collection they have comparable collections of CD's, DVD's, VHS Tapes, and Cassettes. The staff is courteous and ring up your items quickly, they also have great prices on everything in their shop.
Very relaxed atmosphere. A ton of selection from, vinyls, blu-ray movies, cd's,
Tons of stuff, CD's are dirt cheap and almost always in excellent condition. I love to dig around. I've never had an issue with the staff; I'm pretty sure if it's a huge insulting deal-breaker that the staff is not grinning and shouting WELCOME to you during your single visit to the store, then maybe you should re-assess your priorities and/or just chill out.
One of the last record stores that I am aware of that are still open in the valley. Its a beautiful shop. You will find various genres of music at this store.
CDs, Vinyls, DVDs, Blu-Rays are well represented and in stock here. One neat thing of about this store is that they display extremely rare vinyls that can be purchase.
If you are ever visiting Burbank for a day or you are a resident of,Burbank, always drove past that shop with the red neon sign, come here! Its one of a kind.
Great selection of records, Dvds, CD and tapes. Friendly staff. Just an all around good vibe inside.
Amazing place great selection of records very helpful friendly staff
This is one of my favorite record stores in LA. If you want used records, this is the best place to go. If you're looking for a shop that's knowledgable and not as overwhelming as Amoeba this is definitely the stop. One of my biggest complaints about the surge in vinyl popularity over the recent years is how expensive everything has gotten. Atomic records did not follow that trend. I've brought home a lot of amazing finds from Atomic over the past couple years.
Best place ever, lots of records, DvDs, blue -ray and CDs.
Friendly customer service and discount days.
A must go location in Burbank.
My first time there and was very impressed with all the wall to wall inventory within the store. Very reasonable prices which I'm always looking for. Great selection of DVD's, vinyl records, cd's.
literally one of my favorite stores. huge wall of dvds, lots of random records from the 60s, 70s and 80s, most all of which are in mint condition (ignore the other reviews that says otherwise, they don't come to atomic at least twice a month like I do). I always find good dvds in the 99c stack, and they also have a few boxes of cassette tapes. everything is very affordable and the perfect spot if you like true vintage records. they dont have any records from 1990+ for the most part but honestly thats fine because it adds to the nostalgia of the store. the workers all know this is one of my favorite places and i never want it to change. definitely a home away from home
Good selection. The mask mandate is a bit dated and silly. The owner is a bit standoffish and dismissive.
On your left as you walk in DVDs 99 cents. Then a decent bargain bin of DVDs ranging from $2 to $5 including Blu Ray. And finally a back wall of A to Z DVDs as well. Oh...by the way it's supposed to be an amazing record store as well. It is primarily a record store. It's a real mellow and laid back kind of place. It's not fancy. It's full of boxes of records and movies in addition to the already full bins. It's all business. Records CDs and movies.
Great customer service here.
Great selection of vintage vinyl, cds, and DVDs!
This Record Store Delivers!!! Awesome Selection Of Music And Great Prices!!! The Gentleman Who Helped Us At the Register Was Super Kind As Were The Other Staff!!! Get Down "Atomic Records" Burbank!!! The Decor And Musical Atmosphere Is Groovy!!! YESSSSSS :)
Nice record store in Burbank prices medium to high but that's okay I bet they could order stuff for you to have been going there for a few years now they were closed during the pandemic now they're open
Great record store! I always find great records here every time I come in, which is quite often.
Nice selection and a lot of inventory. And the prices are very reasonable!!
Very cool record store with a great selection of vinyl and a friendly knowledgeable staff. Would be cool if the sold affordable turntables to make it easy for a novice to get into vinyl.
Terrific buys on Lp, 45s, unopened and used blu-ray, DVDs, CDs, collectibles. Pure 60s interior. Great posters on the wall. Would very much like to give this place 5 stars if it had a restroom or parking. The people here are great!
Love this shop, have been coming for years! The owner is great and very nice. When we bought an Elvis record and were by the door, he said "Elvis has left the building!" 😀 …
Like an old record store from the 80's great vibe lots of stuff great prices
Small but vibey record store that brings with it a retro vibe and not a whiff of hipster ISM. Go in there enjoying whatever kind of music you like and you will find something. Into vintage cassettes from the 1980s? You will find examples there. Wanting to get lost in a stack of jazz LPS? Look no further. Atomic records also carries videos, DVDs Etc. A great little neighborhood spot for indulging your inner audio file. Recommended for both casual and advanced music lovers
Good selection of records prices are definitely fair staff is really friendly. Definitely one of the better record stores in the area And I have been to almost all of them
Great place great prices n selection. Helpful staff. Best place 2 sell you're good used records movies CDs.very helpful n strait forward.
My favourite record store in the valley. If I could own a record store, it would be like this one. Can you find everything you want? No. Do you find stuff you didn't know you needed? Yes.
Great for hard to find/rare albums. Sam was very helpful, even withholding judgement on my mispronunciation of Art Blakey's last name. Also, I picked up a decent TT for cheap.
Great customer service. Old school store. Honest about their products and services.
Great collection. Lots of jazz, very knowledgeable staff, next to some great sights like the studios where Ray Charles recorded, Supertramp, and many others.
The place always has new stock coming in a very good prices. Thee guys have been around for a while and I hope they will be around for a very long time!
I went with my staff and my friend on the bus walking to Atomic Records and then browsing at the blu-ray and DVD's. I got blu-ray and gave it to the cashier did good customer service and I paid cash for my blu-ray and there was no men's bathroom.
Strong selection, good musical environment with helpful staff. However, a 2 turntable listening station is greatly needed.
This place has been around a long time and is always good to stop in there. The selection is huge. Very good store. Couldn't ask for more!
Truly an eclectic mix of old vinyl, most are in almost mint condition, prices are very fair, willcomeback again.
So many good findings! DVD and Blu-ray! Old and new! Vinyl records in great shape! Highly recommend.
Great selection. They have vinyl, cds, and cassettes. The owners are super friendly.
Animals- Pink Floyd CD for $2.99 and No Where Boy on Blue Ray- A John Lennon biopic for $4.99. Atomic Records have sweet deals!
I love this place ❤️ 💕 ♥️ 😍 💛 💗
Great deals, great people …
Decent selection of records. And good music playing. But I don't go into a record store to listen to an argument over politics.
Fun place with lots of vinyl. I sold DVDs and albums there. Received fair pricing.
Absolutely loved it. Great selection, the athmosphere is great. The prices were really good too
This the place for Vinyl Collectors , They have lots of Vinyl Records. If you are looking for Cd's they have few compare to other Competitors store.
A super solid vintage record store. Not super dusty, changing selection so you can go frequently. You'll find gems here.
Cute store. Small and tight. Wish they had more electronic records, but I'm probably in the minority there
Solid little record shop with a decent selection. Nice to not have to drive to ameoba for new releases.
Great owner, great staff, quiet environment, high quality selections ...too small for a listening station, but needs turntables.
Great store for finds. Good prices too. Tight isles but maneuverable.
Nice record shop with great selection. Mostly older stuff, be prepared to browse for a while.
One of my favorite record stores!

Scored some sweet vinyl while in vacation! Great prices too! Thanks!
Awesome place to buy movies
Great stuff really cheap. Just could be a little too crowded with all the boxes on the sides and on the floor stacked up
They have a great variety of records, movies and cds at great prices.
I'm in here every day this place is amazing and you'll find whatever you want or need staff are also amazing people
I was called a gay slur by another person as was leaving the theater room with my boyfriend. Its a good theater though
Great selection of used records, DVD's, Bluray's, CD's and more. They also buy used as well.
Disappointed how staff treated other customers

Great little record shop. Good prices and selection.
Good guys
The staff here is pretty friendly. The only drawback for me is that their Hip Hop section is pretty limited.
Awesome record shop with a revolving selection. You can spend hours here.
A hidden gem. Love to spend weekend mornings here, going thru all their inventory.
Great selection, lots of stock, decent prices, and friendly staff.

This is your classic used record shop. I try to stop in whenever I'm in the neighborhood. I'm a fan.
Nice used vinal and movies section. Not as good as Ameba though
Love this place. Just PACKED with interesting records and music.
