This is an AWESOME music store! The staff is very helpful. I came here when guitar needed new strings. Good people work here and cool people come to this Sam Ash! It's fun to look at all the guitars they have. You can even play some of them to see which one feels the best in your hands!

I went in to price shop and check out the new equipment and got into a conversation with the clerk, Richard, in the DJ area. Richard was so friendly, patient and knowledgeable, he easily figured out what I needed to make my station complete and not only suggested the right models but he explained why I would want one over the other. Richard walked me through all aspects of the required components and I walked out having purchased everything that I needed. He and the sales manager even helped patiently even though I had stayed past closing time. Thanks for a great experience, Richard, I'm sure I'll be back to pick your brain again soon!!

I came in on the weekend to get my Fender PJ bass guitar set up and cleaned, and was greeted by the sales manager almost immediately. He let me know that their luthier wasn't in that day, but would certainly set it up when he was. I received a call that it was ready later in the week and picked it up stress-free. It plays wonderfully, as good as it ever has. Action and intonation are perfect - it even has that "rasp" without actual fret buzz! I would totally bring guitars here for an affordable, high quality set up. I might buy one, too - their Squier offset selection is amazing (lots of CV Jaguars and Jazzmasters). Kudos to Sam Ash.

I was skeptical about going to Sam Ash because I never shopped here before. But, was i surprised! The quality and the selection was first rate. 1st time buyer at Sam Ash and I bought a guitar amp thanks to Tony and Andrew! They made me feel very welcome and comfortable after finding out I’ve never played an electric guitar before. Had an easy time picking out products because of them! After having the amp for 5 days and practicing the guitar I realized this isn’t for me and not a hobby I want to continue and wanted to return it. My next visit I was greeted by an old man at the front desk with a black suit. After telling him why I wanted to return the amp he tried to get me to look at other amps in which I told him the amp isn’t the issue I’m no longer interested in having a electric guitar. He than said I only wanted to rent it, twice and asked me if he was right. I said no and repeated for the third time it’s not for me. I was cut off twice in a nonchalant tone. Overall a good experience this is a very friendly store!!

Jason answered all my questions, was awesome to talk to, and he even called me on my phone personally to check and see how I was liking my new AMP! Great selection of guitars to choose from. They were very helpful and set up any guitar and piece of equipment that I wanted to try. I ended up with a PRS 24 Standard. Only one thing I should mention, is that the guitar did not come with a gig bag, but looking on the Sam Ash website, the same guitar ships with a gig bag with purchase from the site. Now I wish I would have ordered from the website instead of the store purchase.

Staff was very nice, listened to me babble about guitars and music for a while. Also got a guitar, the price had gone up and was different than it was on the label, like any good store does they went out of their way to get a manager immediately before I even knew what was going on and put the price down to what it was on the tag. Great staff, great selection of basically whatever you may need. They don't have a huge selection of brands of guitars, mostly Gibson/Epiphone, Fender/Squier, and some PRS'. But if you're need of supplies for music related gear and guitar related gear we'll this is definitely the place to go to. Very great place and great staff again.

Richard is a sound engineer and really knows his stuff. I highly recommend speaking to Richard if you need anything to build a home recording studio.

I recently bought the Guild A–20 Bob Marley edition acoustic guitar at this Sam Ash store in Las Vegas, Nevada. The A-20 is both simplistic and beautiful. It’s much louder than I would have expected it to be and it gives you the highs that you desire while balancing out good lows and miss. Overall it’s a great guitar!

Wonderful buying experience. Sale staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful in meeting my needs. He seemed to be up to speed on many of the guitars’ specs and answered many of my questions. Such a great experience. Went bass shopping all over town and found one I was interested in at Sam Ash. They offered to hold it behind the counter no questions asked while I moved on to another store. Came back the next day and tried several other basses but settled on the original 75th anniversary P bass I had in mind. As most guitars/basses that come straight from a box there were a few adjustments that needed to be made and the team had the Tech take care of all my qualms in mins. Overall they are helpful, patient, and not pushy and really do care about musicians and their instruments. I’ve found my store here in Vegas!

Oh, absolutely the best music store in town! We went to fix the strings on our son's guitar, we have used them for piano purchases, we take guitar and piano lessons from some of the associates there, we even purchased the set of drums from Sam Ash years ago! Again there is no better musical store in Las Vegas then Sam Ash on Maryland and Sahara 🥳 We even discovered the Player 1 Arcade Gaming Bar next door 🤣 Fab!!!

After looking at bass guitars at GC and being disappointed with their inventory, I wanted to try Sam Ash. When I walked inside, I was greeted by the friendly staff and a large stock of Fender basses! Awesome!🎸!!! I played half a dozen bass guitars and decided on a 75th anniversary Fender Jazz . My sales associate, Tony, was great and had it ready to pick up the next day after their guitar tech, Zak, found time in his busy schedule to make it more playable, at least enough that I could tell it was good bass guitar. I do my setups, so I didn't need to get the free setup. However, for someone who cannot work on their guitar, it's good to know Sam Ash is there for you after the sale. Also, I'm not sure how many people know this, but Sam Ash is a family-owned business based out of New York. For me, this makes the extra drive worth it.

Then finally walked over to the guitars and ask a few questions my salesperson Marcus who assisted me was knowledgeable and willing to test a couple different guitars. These guys are great!. Pretty good selection of guitars ... not so much bass but still okay. But the staff is fantastic. Helpful not over barring or pushy and not full of themselves like the other place. I bought my drums, bass equipment, and guitar gear at Sam Ash. Oh ya and my recording equipment. I indicated I would visit store around 11am but tech mentioned store opens at noon that day. Would've been bummer to get there when store closed. Went to their website to get more details on cord options. Visited store that day, got excellent tech help from Brian. Bought most excellent Boss instrument cord and several other items. Sam Ash Music Store rocks!

This was my first time at Sam Ash. I went to purchase a violin for my daughter. My salesperson was Caleb. He is an extremely knowledgeable guy and really friendly. My daughter loves her violin. This was a great experience. Although I live across town much closer to other big musical instrument store, I'll more than likely be back to visit Sam Ash in the future.

Went here to get amplifier for electric drums, the guy that helped us is very knowledgeable and helpful. He even explained to my daughter what's the best way to set up her microphone and earphone the right way while playing the piano. And while we're walking around in the store every single personnel were very friendly and offering us help. I would recommend this place to everyone. Update!! 3/04/2021 Frederick has been a fantastic help and honestly I’m a bit taken back by the fantastic level of support I received concerning this issue. From one bad day came a 100% renewed confidence in my store and I can’t wait to go back for all my future gear purchases. I cannot exaggerate enough how great the level of support and care is that comes out of this store. (: Sam Ash Location - S Maryland Parkway Date - 03/03/2021 1:41 P.M I wanted to file a complaint towards this employee and the store in general. As a long standing customer of this location and of your company I found today’s experience could possible be my last with you guys. Before coming into the store I called to ask if they price matched other competitors such as sweet water musiciansfriend etc. and they said yes, that they price match. So as I’m making my decision to go I notice that on the sweet water website they are including a free line 6 helix backpack along with the purchase of a line 6 helix floor model. Now apart from this it also includes a copy of line 6 helix native software with is also an additional $100 + incentive. So I tell the employee Brian the deal that’s vying for my attention and he tells me he can price match that by applying a good discount to the overall purchase if I include the backpack. Well safe to say that I was not only treated rude by this employee, the deal was not honored and I paid through financing the total cost of a line 6 helix floor model and line 6 helix backpack. Apart from that he just kept bragging to his friend how I “was a good catch of the day for commissions” and that “he can’t wait to get that money”. I felt disgusted but I’m also a musician that desperately needed a piece of hardware and I was not about to haul it around unprotected. $2,000+ later and here I feel conflicted. Do I return the item and stand up for a fair transaction that is offered by other competitors? This was not a good day and I feel duped. :/

I did have my eyes on another purple Les Paul, but this one I fell for instantly once my dad and I strummed the strings. I knew instantly this was the guitar for me! Great experience at the Sam Ash store yesterday. Went in just to check out some Fender Telecasters I had been looking at on the internet. Ira, in guitar sales let me try more then a few with no pressure and also informed me of the financing options should I decide to buy. In the the process I became aware of the Michael Kelly Guitars which really impressed me at a lower price point. In any case I didn't buy a guitar yesterday but I will be back again soon to do business. by the way this was my first time in a Sam Ash store.

Great experience purchasing a guitar amplifier and effects pedal. Anyone can sell you music equipment; what set my experience apart from online shopping or other music stores was the customer service. I needed assistance determine which type of amp to purchase (tube or modeling amp) and their sales associates were incredibly helpful finding the perfect amp for my needs. This includes plugging in to several amps and and getting fantastic knowledge of each amp by Brent and Tony, all without any pressure. I didn’t mention their prices because anyone shopping for anything should really have an idea what a sale price should be. Sam Ash prices are as competitive as any store or online shopping so it was easy getting a great deal. You don’t have to haggle to get a good deal. It’s already there. I always preferred smaller music stores rather than the mega music store type such as Sam Ash, but I can’t say enough great things about this place. Very personable service, great pricing and amazing stock on hand. That’s a win win win in my book. Thanks guys, I’ll definitely be back because everyone knows you can never have enough music equipment, just ask my neighbors!

I am unfamiliar with the store and this was my first visit. Greeted friendly upon entering I explained what I was looking for and within a matter of minutes I was checking out. Caleb, I felt went above and beyond my expectations of customer service. He was knowledgeable about the products, gave a recommendation and then offered alternatives without making me feel like I was a burden. Very smooth process and I couldn't have been more satisfied. Hell, I'm even taking the time to leave a comment cause I was that impressed. Lol

We needed an audio system for our church and of all the music stores we went in town (Las Vegas) these guys at Sam Ash were the ones that took their time to guide us as to what to buy. I came in for just a couple of cords but they had to be 1/8” stereo to 1/4 mono. I was helped by Nathan and he took me directly to the cords I needed. I’m always glad when the sales rep knows the stock but that guy was the manager!!! Willing to help me, knows what I need and exactly where it is made for a great experience AGAIN! Always a pleasure to go to my local Sam Ash.

From choosing the best strings to going to the repair shop, it was wonderful customer service. Went in to buy a keyboard. The sale's guy was WAY more interested in showing off how "great" he could play rather than helping me. I did not buy the keyboard there - bought it from Guitar Center instead. I have been back several times. Bought a mic and a few other accessories, but they lost the sale on the board because Mr "Watch how awesome I can play".

I have purchased quite a few pieces of electronics at Sam Ash since 1999, so when our church needed a new mixer board, a couple of power amps, and a new wireless mic system for the Pastor, Sam Ash had exactly what we needed. One item needed to be ordered from the warehouse (the mixer), but it arrived in nine days - so everything we purchased is in, and today we will be clearing out all of our old stuff and hooking it up. Special mention must be made of Nathan Dyer in the Pro Audio department. When I go into a store, I just want to get what I need and get outta there without any unnecessary BS. Nathan was exactly who we needed to make that happen, and I left the store a very happy camper. Whenever I need new electronics, either for my home studio or for the church where I am the musical director, I will check with Sam Ash first. Excellent job!

This my second time in Sam Ash Music Store and I purchased a violin kit for my daughter and Yamaha keyboard for my oldest son. The sale staff in each department were very helpful and knowledgeable. It made selecting the item I wanted to purchase that much easier. Staff answered all my questions and there was no pressure to make a purchase. Sam Ash also gives 10% Military discount. I support any business willing to help out veterans, retired military and active duty. Will purchase from Sam Ash again if I catch the bug to play a musical instrument.

Eric in woodwind/brass was extremely helpful. Took a drive from Arizona to purchase a brand new professional saxophone. This store was the only location in the country that had the horn I wanted so he put it on hold for me. They gave me an amazing trade value for a vintage saxophone and other discounts during a weekend promotion. Great Price! Their in-house repair person (didnt get his name) sat with me for about 30 minutes as we talked saxophones and did some free set-up and adjustments. The horn played even better than it did out of the box. Amazing experience!

Talking with the guys in pro audio have nothing but good things to say. Great customer service great attention to detail very helpful and knowledgeable staff! The only minor thing that I can nitpick is that there was no station for disinfectant in the pro audio department and no handy wipes to wipe down keyboards, DJ equipment, and headphones after other patrons touching and using them.

I took in my guitar to the store tech for a service and there should be more consideration, especially from the repair men, to handle the instruments with care; as they are expensive and not toys. Such a difference from the competition! In the other place, most of the acoustic guitars of any quality are locked up and it is difficult to get one opened so you can try it. In this store, the guitar room has all of the acoustics open, and you are encouraged to play instead of being watched. The manager, Frederick, is incredibly helpful and will always go the extra mile to see that you are satisfied. The floor staff, like all stores, varies in competence and expertise but they all have this great attitude about helping you. Definitely the place to buy a guitar.

Took it in to Sam Ash and everyone was so helpful and kind! They taught us how to tune it and that it needs a humidifier, and didn't try to sell is anything we didn't want or need. I'm definitely considering signing up for lessons in the store - the atmosphere is great and I really appreciate that when I admitted to knowing nothing they immediately jumped on to educate me instead of trying to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need or looking down on me for not knowing. Nathan, the store manager, and Mark, a new employee, treated me very well and let me try out the keyboard I thought I wanted which they put on the floor and gave me 1/2 hour to fiddle around with it. They were extremely busy but they found time and interest in supporting me and my needs. It is not anywhere close to me but, due to the kindness and support I felt from these two guys, I believe I'll be taking my busy back to Sam Ash (was my go to store for all musical goods I purchased in NYC in the 80s and 90s) after feeling pressured by other music stores nearer to where I live. This is the only Sam Ash chain in Las Vegas but it would be great if they opened up a satellite in the NW part of town. Hey, just so you know, people like Nathan, Mark, and Hunter at band and sheet music, were willing to take the extra time to make certain all my wishes were fulfilled. It was a good place to finally see in person. I really wanted to see the latest in standalone PA's from Bose. I believe it is the S1. I needed to hear if keyboards did well and were accurately represented. It was better than I expected. I was once a pro and then a semi pro keyboardist and now have finally turned back into an amateur. But a highly skilled amateur. The guy that showed me what I wanted to see, was very knowledgeable without a doubt and very friendly as long as you stuck to your single subject. I wanted to play around with some of the keyboards on the floor but he would sort interrupt me as if he didn't want me to do that. He even went to another keyboard to overpower the one I was trying. I kept turning it down until the sound of the mechanical keys were louder than the keyboard. However this guy must've wanted to audition with me. Your hired man. But was it that annoying to let me check a few keys out on my first physical visit to your giant, seemingly empty store? I didn't think I was rude but your weirdness drove me outta there. Congrats. Sam Ash would be proud.

I like the place. I want a guitar but the associate was kind of rude. Ask me not to be touching the guitars unless I was serious about buying, of course I'm serious or I would not go to check for guitars. Is not like I do this every week. You don't go to buy a car and pay for it just by the way it looks, you have to test drive your car before buying. This guy mentioned he had disinfect everything costumers touch. Honestly, I was blown away. I wanted a pedal to get more from my Marshall, and I didn't know a lot. I was asked if I needed help immediately. He was genuinely interested in figuring out the sound I wanted with the equipment I currently use, and immediately know what I wanted. He arranged a set up of my amp and guitar and brought 3 pedals. I played through each while he explained and adjusted each to my sound. I found exactly what I wanted. I've tried to do this at other music stores, but it's always been a problem. Associates either don't have the experience, they don't care, or they're lazy. I have purchased pedals before only to return them the following day. Anyway, I don't write reviews but this experience was a surprise.

Use to like guitar center, but always had issues with them being more "get in get out" and they always seem to have a problem with people playing the instrument (especially) if not buying. I just bought a Presonus 64S mixing console at Sam Ash on Maryland Parkway. Nate had shown me some other models earlier this year but they were not quite what I was looking for. Then I found the Presonus 64S. Nate and Mitch checked out the included software for me to verify that I was getting everything that I wanted. Great service. Knowledgeable and helpful. I was able to get the perfect replacement for my defunct Mackie D8B that I had been using previously. I shopped Sam Ash specifically because Nate was helpful and non-pushy when I was looking earlier in the year and he was knowledgeable about the features as well. Zach in guitar repair / service deserves abundant praise for his generosity and depth of knowledge. My Squire Vintage Modified Jaguar isn't a guitar worthy of a lot of time, not a custom instrument, not expensive in the least. But Zach took the time to walk through the arcane and, let's be honest, wack aspects of my piece. I learned more from him in 5 minutes than in ten Youtube vids and an hour of googling / forum reading. It was uncommon and, truly, it made my day. When I left, the manager asked me if everything had been taken care of. "Yep, I discovered that guitars use picks, so I should probably use one on my guitar," I answered. Zack (the repair guy) stayed well over an hour past his clock out time because he loves what he does and wanted to help me. After a VERY unsuccessful trip to their competitor, Guitar Ctr, I made my way back to also receive top notch help from their sales staff. For the longest time I have been a customer of Guitar Center for my local music needs. I can't tell you how disappointed I am with GC and always leaving feeling that I was ripped off OR disappointed with customer service. Two instances in the last month with GC - #1 The new Scarlett Solo USB-C Audio Interface came out and I asked GC rep to hold me the device. When I got there they sold the last model. Spoke with the rep and thou they apologized still not good enough. Since I live in Las Vegas and moved here six years ago, the only music store I know is GC. Performed a search on the web for local music stores on the whim and Sam Ash popped up. Called them and they had the Scarlett Solo in. They held it for me and I was on my way. Didn't think much of Sam Ash and never heard of them, but I was able to get the product. #2 Decided to sell my Line 6 Pod Studio Live Floor Pedal. Contacted GC and the rep says over the phone "Sure, we can take a look at it and shouldn't be a problem". Few days later, dropped by GC and they couldn't accept the pedal because they had extra in stock that they bought from other customers. Again, the rep didn't even bother to look ahead of time and wasted my time. So I am sitting in the parking lot ready to drive home when I thought "I should call Sam Ash" and of course they bought the pedal from me. AND BONUS more $$$ than what GC would have offered by far. That surprised me! Now, getting to the customer service - there is one individual Dayne that stood out and went above and beyond. Was there in the store for a few hours, discussed guitar strings, cables, and home recording. I contacted Dayne and discussed a noise issue that I was having with my Scarlett Solo. He told me bring your guitar, cable, and the scarlet into the store. So we troubleshooted for an hour and discussed line interface, noise, presets, line filters for power. Now, this gives me ideas of testing at home and possibly purchase noise line filter. In all I am very pleased with Sam Ash and probably if all, never go back to GC if I have too. The staff and Dayne are very friendly and the way customer support should be.

I found an Ibanez acoustic guitar that I wanted to purchase, but took a lot of time debating with myself on wether I should spend the money or save it. Dayne was extremely patient, not a pushy or rude salesman like I have experienced in the past. After I made the decision to buy, Dayne was very helpful with picking out a case and accessories. I brought in a Carvin guitar that hadn't been played in forever. One pickup wasn't working, and it had 20-year-old passive/active electronics that I doubt are common these days. It took about 3 weeks to get the guitar back, but everything works now and the job I was afraid might cost upwards of $400 cost less then $200, including new strings and setup.
