Reviews of Roman Guitars
I cannot recommend Roman Guitars enough. In my personal experience with Scott, not only did I get an amazing guitar, but I was also given a military discount, plus they paid $25 more on shipping than I was charged.
Due to the amazing level of service I received, plus the incredible 12 year old guitar (NOS), and everything else considered, I will be buying here again!!!
I'm a Kramer guy since the 80s. You don't have to be to shop here though. Roman Guitars is more than that. You might be surprised about the spectacular bargains you are going to find here. I certainly was!!!
Roman Guitars is a great Guitar shopping experience. I wanted to check them out on my visit to Vegas and I'm glad I did. I knew little about them before heading there besides what I read online and saw on their website. They are first and foremost and Custom Building Guitar shop and they also sell some second hand guitars on consignment. Brian took the time to give me a full tour of the store and explained everything in detail. I really appreciated that - I felt like a VIP. If you are looking for a Custom Build Guitar this is a great place to go. They will take their time with you and design something in your price range. I think most of think Custom and think its going to be super expensive but the bottom line is its as expensive as YOU make it. If you want intricate inlays and paint jobs then yes.... you can get yourself into the next price level but if you are just looking for a good build to the specs you like and the shape you want than you can get that here at Roman. I went to look at their guitars on Consignment but left thinking about a custom build - these guys are now on my radar for the future. I didn't end up playing anything but I absolutely could have - they were more than welcoming on that front and would have set me up with anything I wanted to play - nothing was off limits - pretty cool.
Worth a visit if you are in Vegas.
What can I say about the guys at Roman Guitars...well I would be here all day. They are so helpful and the service they offer for a guitar player, at whatever level you are at, is second to none.
They make guitars from scratch and boy are they good.
They have such a long pedigree in making bespoke guitars for the music industry. In fact they said "the only limit is your imagination"
Quality stands out everywhere you look.
They also sell some second hand guitars so give them a try.
We live in England and were really taken back that they offer such a great service on an international level. They will ship to wherever you are in the world.
They are really nice easy going guys. Given that they deal with some A list stars, they treat you in the same way, even if you're at the start of your music journey.
I just purchased a Custom V from the shop in Vegas, The guys at Roman guitars are very knowledgeable and friendly. THE GUITAR IS AMAZING excellent feel and playability with exceptional tone and versatility. I cannot stress enough my satisfaction with Scott and his Crew. THANK YOU!!! I'LL BE BACK!
Like a child in a candy a candy store, I was thrilled and excited. Knew about Ed Roman guitars for a while, had a chance to pass by this weekend. I was given a brief tour of the place(thanks Scott!). I tried their Roman, quicksilver guitars, original strandbergers' and a LSR bolero model too. If your a guitar aficionado, this place a must!
Talked with one of the guys there. He knows alot and has great stories. The custom guitar work there was fantastic.
Beautiful custom made guitars right alongside a lot of your old favorites. Nice selection of song books and equipment..
Customer service is outstanding. ☆☆☆☆☆☆
At 78 years young, I checked off one of my “Bucket List” wishes: to possess,(irrefutably)a master piece of art in the form of a custom guitar.
Thank you, Scott, Shawn, and the guys at Romans Guitar for this dream come true!
A hidden gem in Sin City.
Roman Guitars is the best place in town to purchase high end guitars, or for custom work on your own instrument. Their work is top notch with emphasis on customer satisfaction. They go the extra mile to put a smile on you face, which they certainly did on my project. I highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.
Wow! I am blown away by the artistry. Beautiful. And, Brian was a pleasure to talk with.
Very freindly people.
Not a large store compared to the chains.
Some interesting guitars
Roman Guitars is LEGIT AWESOME. Yes, this is a 5 star review. Why? They built me an extremely complex guitar (a fusion of a few Fender guitar types) Leo Fender and Gene Fields planned but never produced. They did so perfectly and I'm an engineer. They did millimeter precision, best neck pocket joint I've ever seen. The price was reasonable for what I asked. They used beautiful wood, gorgeous grain. I wish i could post a picture. Quality equal to or above Fender Custom shop. Scott, Mike and the team were professional and forgiving of me making a few minor changes. All I can say is I had this dream guitar in my head for 23 years, they MADE it and it is a thing of beauty. I highly recommend. I supplied most parts with unorthodox installation requirements, and I don't see any skimping or corners cut. Trust them to build your dream guitar. It takes a few months during the covid-19 crisis but worth the wait. Thank you guys at Roman Guitars custom shop. Best quote was when I apologized for a weird guitar design they said "we LOVE weird!", how cool is that?
I'm 15 and on vacation from Florida, went to stop and get some picks but when I opened the door I was completely shocked! They had the coolest guitars I've ever seen and the guy showing and talking to me (Im bad with remembering names) was extremely nice! I know next time Im in the area I'm stopping again and plan to start saving for one of the incredible guitars I saw!
Phenomenal craftsmanship, great communication, and the quality is first rate. They are more flexible than other guitar makers. One thing their guitars have that many custom built guitars do not have: pure mojo!
Went down there to get my new acoustic guitar set up. When Bob saw that I installed my own pickup he said "well shoot, you can do anything that I was going to do to it". He then gave me a few tips on neck and bridge adjustment. Nice to see a business that would rather help someone than just take their money. I will definitely be back.
Wonderful service and beautiful guitars, highly recommend
Amazing hand made guitars with killer tones
This is not Guitar Centar!
My wife and I stopped in to look around. I can't say enough about how great the experience was. Even tho we were essentially just kicking tires the gentleman that assisted us treated us as I would expect any valued customer should. They were very busy in the workshop with their custom work, but did not make us feel rushed at all.
My wife has an expensive eye for guitars so we couldn't afford one of theirs this time around but Im positive we will back for one of their beautiful creations in the future.
For what it's worth I practically never take the time to review the many places we visit on the road as a commercial driver but this stop stood head and shoulders above the average. I only wish I could mention the guy by name who helped us but I dont recall if I heard him mention it.
This is a custom guitar build shop with highly skilled artists and technicians available to work on your guitar. They have a massive selection of their hand built guitars plus a decent selection of new/used gear. They are incredibly friendly and ready to help, but they are not Guitar Center or Sam Ash. They do not deal in anything but guitars and guitar amps - Vegas is really lucky to have them. I had an acoustic 5-string bass repaired when the bridge lost its adhesion to the sound board. The repair was perfect and made the bass even better than I first bought it brand new! If you're looking for repairs, GO. If you're looking for a good curated selection of used guitars and amps, GO. If you're looking to stop by and smash on a set of drums like a 3 year old or play Smoke on the Water using one string at top volume... well, this isn't your shop.
A cool peeve of music history in Las Vegas. They sell a few commercially manufactured guitars, but the real draw is the custom made models.
First of all, the shop is amazing. Talk about a candy store. Now, lets talk about service. I play in a Who Tribute band and needed my Les Paul modified with dual humbucker pickups between the existing pickups, plus a String Butler install to reduce inherent tuning issues. Bob there listened patiently to what i was looking for, then quoted me a very reasonable price, then did the job, and guess what......much fewer tuning issues, pickup sounds great, guitar looks great. Class act with Bob and Ed Roman guitars.
The place has what it takes to make the guitar dream come true. To no emd they build to meet the needs of those who ate bless to have the team make a fine tune , custom from the minds to paper. On the table ,wireing , intonation, pick-ups they do it all. The wood work is unbelievable.. Stop bye the place an see for yourself.
Exceptional luthiers, incredible selection of custom and vintage instruments
Roman Guitars is outstanding. They have the best of the best guitar on their store We went there for the different guitars for our brand and after there we surprised with their outstanding variations. Loved their service and the store is really amazing.
I always stop in Roman Guitars when in Vegas.
The guitars they have are absolutely gorgeous.
The wood just comes to life when their luthiers get there hands on it.
If you want something as beautiful looking as it sounds this is your place.
The guys are all nice people, knowledgeable, as well as helpful.
Great Guitar store with lots of high end guitar!
Fantastic shop. They gave me a tour and told me some really cool stories! The people who work here are so nice. I'll definitely visit again when I am in the area. A must see for any guitar fan who wants a top quality instrument.
Since Kramer shut down their Neptune, New Jersey production.. If I needed a reproduction Kramer, or J. Frogg, axe, THIS is the place to have it done.
This is where I would send my Kramer and J. Frogg guitars, for repairs and mods, that I couldn't make myself.
Cormonster Seal of Approval
I've had numerous custom guitars over the years. The last one I built was a Jackson with a Roman neck. Turned out to be the fastest, most impressive piece of gear I ever purchased. I can't speak to their customer service or anything, but the quality of their work is exquisite. I am a lifelong customer now.
I needed a minor repair on one of my guitars, when I called they were very professional and courteous over the phone. Bob was very helpful, he did the repair quick and easy for a good price. Thanks for your help!
Beautiful guitars and friendly staff. Scott was very hospitable and informative! I don’t have $3000 to blow on a guitar right now, but when I do, these guys DEFINITELY have my business!
Staff is very cordial and didn't rush me at all. Selection of guitars beyond their house brand is a bit limited.
They don't seem to be very knowledgeable of what's going on in the market right now - I asked about Fishman Fluence pickups and they never heard of them which is kinda nuts.
Need to knock for them to open the door. After that you are treated to an impressive sight. The walls are lined with an impressive amount of guitars. I had a modification done to my guitar. the gentleman had it done while I waited. Then we had a friendly chat.
In the past I have been guilty of complaining about living in a town without access to a quality guitar shop. Also stating the inability to find a qualified tech much less a luthier; I now humbly and happily eat my words. I recently found and visited a shop I can only describe as “Guitar Paradise” it is called Roman Guitars. I’m sure many of you have heard of these folks, I had not. For those that don’t know of them they hand manufacture truly beautiful instruments.
I found them via web search and they are located in an industrial park 15 min from my house right off the strip. The site suggested that it was best to call before a visit, which I did. The location is new and not fully open for retail, but with a knock at the front door I was admitted by the VP Scott and was blown away. The retail inventory that is made up mostly of NOS guitars of every brand and style. Scott gave me a brief history of Mr. Roman (now deceased) as he gave me a tour; one large showroom of the retail stuff and this room that consisted of all the handmade Roman guitars.
The base model was about 2.5k and they went up from there. They were truly works of art. I asked to see the production area and he agreed, he show me a room full of NOS parts, necks, bodies and electronics that Mr. Roman had acquired over many years. The back area had a curing room full of tones and exotics, the rest was wood working space with 2 luthiers and a tech (more of a luthier himself then anyone I had met previously). All the work was done by hand.
After seeing the level of instruments they had I was embarrassed to admit what I was looking for, but I came for a reason and got down to it, not wishing to waste any more of the man’s time. I was after a Bass that was under $500 (really less than that but I didn’t have the heart to ask for anything lower). Scott didn’t miss a beat and said "I will give the same service to someone coming in with $200 or $10 k and I have several fine bass' to show you." ( and he really meant it)He showed me 4 NOS Ibanez each under $200.They were all good but he suggested one that was quite a bit better, a 2009 NOS SR300 active EQ with a nice soft case and tax for $400. It was in perfect adjustment and flawless, and just want I was looking for.I handed him my card and he called his tech (Bob )out and handed it over to him. Bob asked me “do you have about 30 min, we always check the setup before we let one out the door. Do you want anything special, set up preference or string wise?” It felt fine as is was so I just said "do whatever you feel best". About 30 min later Bob came out and Scott asked him how it looked, Bob said "its fine but I'd like to do a bit more, would it be OK if I spent some more time on it, I want to oil the board and there’s a few frets I would like to work on, would you mind if I kept it till tomorrow."
I was flabbergasted I said" hell yes take all the time you need" (keep in mind this was part of the sale price no extra charge.)
These men were really pros and treated me with up-most respect, the price was right in line with any box store or online place and I will never go anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and patronize this place, I have never experienced anything like it.
I cant wait until I can save enough money to have a custom guitar made by them.
Amazing guitars. Staff was super nice and informative even though it was clear I was just window shopping. The guy was a guitar historian.
Scott is beyond helpful and stayed open past closing so I could get that last minute. Any guitar need in the future will be taken care of through Roman, they ROCK!

MY FAVORITE GUITAR STORE EVER. Needed my Ibanez gio set up and I was taken care of. This store prioritizes relationships over simply making a sale. My guitar looks, feels, and sounds better than ever. The staff there are musicians and players themselves and they are awesome!!
