Been using them for years ever since they had a shop in Greenwood. It’s a decent shop that serves a nice convenience in its area. I’ve never really felt welcome in there. I’ve talked to other musicians and they also feel that environment.

I have gone to this store for the last few years. They are the best! They have a great selection of guitars and equipment. If they do not have the guitar you want, they will do their best to get it. Furthermore, the staff is by far the best. They will go out of their way to help you learn more about guitars and equipment. They have done work on a few of my guitars and the price was not bad! Evan has helped me many times in the store. With employees like Evan and the store manager, you will never want to go to another guitar shop! Thanks guys!

The tuning peg on my ibanez bass had a stripped gear. I needed a quick fix. At closing time, they opened the door for me and replaced the broken peg in short time. Great service. Great staff.

Very helpful & knowledgeable staff. They've always got what I need. Microphones, DIs, cables, strings, pedals, accessories, etc. Occasionally they need to order something, but that's been rare. Even so, I'd much rather support a local business than give Jeff Bezos more money. I've had 2 guitars set up there, and they have been great setups. Both setups have been turned around in less than a day. (The last one was done while I waited, so I hung out in their acoustic room and played a GORGEOUS Taylor. ❤️) #shoplocal

Great selection of affordable guitars. Decent selection of amps. Pushy salesmen. The old guy came over and asked to turn down the blues JR I was testing out when the master volume was already down to 2, not loud at all. The person he was showing another amp to was already louder than me, I get that you have to prioritize customers that look like they are likely to buy but that seemed excessive.

A really good selection of bass guitars, particularly at the the lower price points. A nice mix of Squires, Ibanez, Schecter bassesat the the sub $450 range. A few higher end Fender player editions. The salesman was helpful and demoed several models (and obviously let me play as well.) Was a low pressure experience and I'm happy with the Squire Jaguar and amp I bought.

Great music store! They have a bit of everything for everyone here! They have all the stuff you would expect like new brand name guitars, drums, keyboards, as well as amplification and stage audio equipment. It's all nice stuff, but besides that they have a lot of hard to find niché stuff, like tuners, machine heads, bridges, strings, harmonicas, on and on..... Great place to find hard to come by musical items! The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they really seem to know their stuff too!! I highly recommend checking IRC Music out for yourself!

Need to reexamine how the store is setup to maximize flow and overall appeal with more of a selection of each brand and less cluttered in the middle. Expand out and move guitars out amongst the walls with use of whole space so everyone isn't in one area leading them to other areas. They won't be confined into the side right section and most definitely will turn out more revenue when people go thru stuff they never knew they needed because they didn't move out if the Guitars bass section ect... there's ways to get more from less and will draw thru the store instead their most packed section.

I am a BEGINNER, but nobody talked down to me while I was trying to make decisions for my son and my first guitars. We came in during the week and the staff was soooo helpful! I went back a week later and again we were helped by a very patient and knowledgeable employee! I never felt judged or taken advantage of! Highly recommend!

Absolutely great. The selection is similar to most similar guitar-type stores I've been in, but the staff was great. Professional, helpful, and attentive, but also let me poke around in peace. I was in just looking for a mic stand, but was treated like I was buying a $1,000 guitar. Several people working even on Saturday afternoon, and on top of it all they offer lessons in piano, guitar, and drums for sure. Possibly also singing and other instruments, but I didn't hear those specifically mentioned either way.

I love IRC been buying stuff there for the past 5 or so years and the employees there are great musicans and great people. Chris the owner is also a great guy. The store is very clean and well kept. Would recommend to anyone looking for great gear and great service.

I think IRC west is a dandy music store. Dandy indeed. I think Chris is a very nice fellow (much like myself. I too am a nice fellow) I think the staff are very knowledgeable and a nice fellows as well. I recently bought a Yamaha mixer from them and my happiness and satisfaction factors are very high. Very high to be sure. I have also bought an Epiphone Sheraton, A Paul Reed Smith and a Taylor guitar from them. They have always been very kind and helpful and willing to make the instruments play and sound their best. Now if i only knew how to play any of these lovely guitars, my experience would be complete.

Very helpful. I first went in to have some old Cerwin Vegas brought back to life and get a new, modern Amp. Barry, the speaker tech, did a great job with a new horn. About 2 weeks later the Amp head went bad and Barry took it that day to the warranty repair shop. Great selection of new and used products as well.

This shop still has that mom and pop feel that’s getting more and more rare. They have a lot of beginner gear along with some used sprinkled in. The staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend if you’re starting out and don’t know what you need - they can help you out.

They may not be the biggest in the Indy area ( just west in Avon on Rockville Rd.) but I think that may be why their customer service is second to none! Their selection is Awesome and their prices are more than fair

I saw a cymbal I wanted on Craigslist that was listed by IRC music in Avon, I called them and spoke with a very helpful salesman who patiently answered all my questions then checked me out. Two days later I had my cymbal exactly like it was described, well packed with receipt inside. These days that is all it takes to get 5 stars.
