Reviews of Guitar Center
I didn't actually go in the store because I'm in the hospital, and unfortunately at my hospital musical equipment is not provided.
I purchased a guitar online, and on the websitesite it said " this item comes with a gig bag" It did not.
After a few back & forth phone calls, it was shipped overnight to my room.
I purchased another guitar directly from them 2 months ago , and it showed up in my room without any problem.
Good selections of various used and brand new equipment. Attentive employees. Definitely will be visiting more often to exchange knowledge and equipment. Clean and well organized.
Great price on a roadrunner hard case for my seagull s6...$89
Castleton Guitar Center = 5 stars
I recently had a problem getting a refund I was owed from GC (Just to be clear this problem did NOT happen at the Castleton store). After several weeks of being continuously told I'd be hearing from them or their corporate offices, not ONCE did either that stores employees or their corporate office follow through and contact me.
After not being able to be patient and understanding anymore, I called Matt Michalski. at the Castleton store, explained to him the situation (I paid for an item, wasn't allowed to take the used item home because used gear had to be in the store for 11 days before being sold in case it was stolen) and Matt Michalski. INSTANTLY handled the situation.
If it wasn't for the manager at Castleton and the way he handled my problem, I probably would never have bought another item from Guitar Center ever again. Can't give him enough credit. I hope Matt Michalski. and HIS boss read this because he deserves some credit and acknowledgement for the way he runs his store. Thanks for fixing my problem in 10m when another store took 2+ weeks with 0 progress.
I don't want to publicly say the other GC employees name that I had the issue with, but the managers and reps at GC will know who this review is referring to. I just want to say that while I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with the way he handled the situation, he was polite and nice during all of our interactions, and I could tell he was at least trying his best to remedy the problem. He clearly just didn't want to make an executive decision and make a mistake that wasn't following GC's SOP's.
By far the best guitar center in and around Indianapolis area. Professional staff, Beautiful Gallery of acoustic and electric guitars ready to plug into a large selection of amps/pedals (no purchase necessary). Other sections include recording/audio equipment, lights/PAs/Turn tables, drums/percussion, keys, books/music, lessons offered with private tutoring booths and finally a nice selection of used equipment as well. It’s a musicians dream store and extremely addicting, even if you aren’t looking to purchase the wide selection of toys. Finally, a fine selection of knowledgeable staff there to help you with any questions or requests you might have. Need I say more?!?!?
Always love coming here until recently... I will be going to sam ash due to this store not being able to review camera and make this RIGHT with me.
My son lost a 100$ gift card in the store, and was very upset about it !
- he sat it down in the acoustic room when we were looking to get him a Yamaha dreadnought, someone stole it !!! When I asked questions about it, I was not able to get an help!
Noone reviewed tapes or anything. I had just gotten that GC for him, and he was super excited to be able to use "his own money" to help pay for it (lesson on valuing things you pay for even though it was a GC)
I want to thank Matt (Store Manager) for stepping up and solving an issue that was out of everyone's hands. With any business, things can go wrong and it is not always what goes wrong, but rather how it is handled. This situation was out of both of our hands, and Matt took it upon himself to resolve. I am a life long GC customer. Thank you Matt.
It's a great shop. Lots of inventory. I was there to look at acoustic guitars, they had a wide range. Top end, low end, and everything in between. All the big name brands. Sound proof rooms for lessons, a separate percussion room. Friendly staff.
Very awesome, personable, and friendly service! Hands down the best guitar center in Indiana/Illinois. My wife had ordered me a guitar for my birthday online from the guitar center portal. Unfortunately, the neck was badly warped - creating a horrible buzzing. The lady at the service counter was so friendly - I went in expecting to drop off for service. Instead, she quickly exchanged the item! Very grateful and appreciative 😊
Went to Conner Prairie with my family stopped in here to look at some guitars. I picked up an acoustic and was playing and singing Wish you were here by Pink Floyd I pretty sure I embarrassed my grandson lol
Great atmosphere and had the Les Paul that I've been looking for all in all excellent service
Awesome place to pick out new gear! Great promotions and they have private lessons available.
I understand the wrap the “big box” stores can get.... and to an extent I can agree with some of it. But there will come a time in every musicians life (especially in this day in age) to where it’s a must to go in. When this time comes, there’s none better than GC. Cam greeted me and helped me thoroughly until I found what I needed, Max took my used things and made them work in purchasing several pieces to make my rig current and sounding your ready. Thanks fellas, keep rockin!! 🤘✌️
I husband and grandson love going there to play a few instruments and check out the new pieces. Great service.
You guys are the best. Thank you so much for your help and staying a little later then you had too to make an incredible sale
Probably the friendliest Guitar Center employees I've met. No matter which city I go to they're usually not. Thanks Indy GC staff
I ordered a used AMP and it came from Oregon to Indy!
I was so anxious. I live an hour from this GUITAR CTR and I brought my own guitar to TEST it. The amp is a Fender Vibro-King
I met Joe ( Mgr ) He was freaking awesome. Great guy! Very professional. He helped me tremendously. I even had him play through it so I could adjust the settings. He was awesome.
This was a big purchase for me and I was there almost 2 hours playing it. He let me crank it up and really get to know it. I have to play loud, which is exactly what this AMP is designed for.
One guy gave me a hard time on VOLUME (later found out he was an instructor) I understand though, I know it was loud but I wasn't thrashing or just beating up instruments. I respected him. However I'm a customer. I have been waiting 2 weeks to play through this AMP. I actually would have played alone or in the back. I wasn't there to be a problem. Unfortunately some AMPS needs to be opened up and really played. I will have this AMP for the rest of my life. This was a lot of money and I wanted to be sure.
Alaria who is ordered and helped me, she assured me to bring in my own guitar and JAM it. Make sure it's what I want, make sure its correct.
This is a 1992 Fender Vibro-King.
I'm very impressed with GUITAR CTR. Joe was great! He really made me feel comfortable. Alaria was great!
Regards,
Jimmy James
Informative customer service. Courteous and polite always helpful.
Very engaging and informative employee, he quickly addressed my needs and got me the headphones I was looking for. I came in only moments before closing time and was still greeted graciously without a sense of rushing me out the door. They made me excited to come back to this store to do more shopping in the near future. The store itself was clean and organized very well. Though the exterior lights could be a bit brighter, it was honestly hard to find in the market area.
The person who helped me is very knowledgeable and gave very sound advice in my guitar for my 10-year-old grandson. I did feel bad for him because he was the only person who was working the register at the time. Even though he was by himself he was very kind outgoing and upbeat.
Lots of choices in guitars and their techs are very knowledgeable
Amazing place. I was blown away by the staff and their willingness to help my daughter and myself understand the steps we needed to take to get her started. Sam was incredible. He took the time to explain everything to me when then sat down with my 6 year old and played the ukulele for her. She’s never been more excited to pursue music. People like Sam make the experience personalized and authentic. We will be doing a lot of business with Guitar Center. Thank you guys.
We purchased some used gear from this location and asked it to be shipped to Texas. Due to a mistake by the shipper, the gear wound up being returned to Indianapolis! Knowing that we had a time sensitive issue with the gear, Josh, Jake, and who knows who else at this store stepped up without even being asked and corrected the situation in a very pleasant, professional way. Extra effort at customer service is rare these days and we just had to take time to leave a review that acknowledged that. Thank you.
One of the nicest Guitar Centers I have been to. Employees were friendly and the place wasn’t too crowded. They have a good selection of both, acoustic and electric guitars. You can find drums as well as training classes. They service guitars too. Great place to visit if you’re interested in guitars or drums.
If you order from Guitar Center online make sure you find out where it is coming from. I thought I was purchasing a new guitar but it was a store model that still hand fingerprints all over it and the strings had to be replaced the next day. The only thing that helped was the help from this store. Staff was able to do my return and he did try to help me find a replacement.
Appreciate the knowledgeable staff here. Found exactly what we were looking for. Considering lessons this fall especially after chatting with the gentleman who coordinates such. His enthusiasm, willingness to explain options, show us the lesson rooms etc was so helpful. Highly recommend this store.
I love visiting here even when I don't need to buy anything. Large selection of electric and acoustic guitars. Their acoustic section is always very quiet and peaceful. I recently picked up a new Lanikai ukulele here for a pretty decent price and it's great. Always interested in learning something new.
Great, helpful service but seem understaffed in the drum department.
Great service and great products. I had a sizable return and they took it with no questions asked. I have never felt any pressure to purchase while there.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Made my second purchase there recently and I was very pleased with the setup on my instrument.
The people there have a love for music and it shows in their excitement to help you.
Amazing service. Jake was exceptional in his knowledge and was able to help me find a perfect solution for my gigs. He even helped me take my speakers to my car. I cannot express how special I felt and how happy I was with everything that happened today.
Love the options in amps and guitars here.
I sold a Les Paul Starburst in Prime condition to them. They were trying to lowball me on price after a bit of dickering we came to an agreement. I did not care for how they paid me for the Guitar it was a Debit card which proved to be a pain to use. I suggest going to Vintage Guitar in Noblesville, IN I wish I would have. Vintage Guitar would have probably offered me more at the on set.
Pretty busy with a large selection but the wait time to be helped due to the amount of staff was not desirable. However, when you do speak with them they are kind & courteous & they dnt rush you!
The staff was excellent. I purchased an Alesis set and double pedals. One of the managers and sales person (Kyle i think...) Were very informative and helpful. Couldn't ask for a better experience. Thanks.
Their need cleanup organize.
Fantastic customer service! The entire team was very helpful getting us set up as a beginner. When we had a repair issue within a few days of purchase, they helped resolve it on the spot. Shout out to Don and Andrew for their customer service.
I have bought two guitars here within a couple months. The selection is very good & the associate's are very knowledgeable & willing to help with whatever it takes. The prices seem to be reasonable & the quality of the gear is great, even the used gear.
I only have one issue, I bought a roadrunner bar stool last night it said to be 38$ but when I got home I noticed the receipt said 45.99$. I called for my complaint but they said it was probably makes wrong & if it goes on sales within so many days ,I will be gave the difference.
Besides this one issue the store is the best place to go for any musical gear.
It's my first time buying a guitar and the staff was more than helpful. It was fun to pick out my first guitar with them and they did the job efficiently while also providing great customer service
I always like going to music stores, but I've never been to a Guitar Center in Indiana before. The guy working at the desk was very cool. He helped me find exactly what i needed. Also very knowledgeable. Would recommend going there, and i definitely will go back again
The staff at this GC have always been very professional and patient. I have been dealing with them regarding an unusual circumstance regarding a store quasi credit that was in limbo. It took a while but Andrew at this store was empathetic towards my situation and worked it out for me. Also Don at this location has always treated me professionally as well.
It's decent here. Their selection could be better. Seems like GC are investing in a lot of cheap knock off brands like Michael Kelly or Squier. It'd be nice to have a bit more top shelf options for 20+ year players.
Very knowledgeable associates here and it's not just about guitars. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for instruments, accessories, music and excellent lessons. They are always well-staffed and have great associates. They are always polite and friendly. Their prices are very reasonable and the carry high quality merchandise. The associates always take the time to help you find exactly what you are looking for.
Purchased a guitar off their website and had it shipped to the store, it arrived damaged and the store manager took it upon himself to issue the return. So, fantastic there. I will say that the in store employees were not as helpful with return and reorder process as i had hoped. However the corporate call center was incredibly helpful and resolved all of my issues with a single call!
Not an outstanding selection of guitars at this store as it is one of the smaller stores I've been to. And with the prices of some of them I'm not entirely sure why online shopping isn't a better option other than personally feeling the instrument before purchase.
Great place for music equipment and accessories
Love this store. It is the best music store for everything you need. They also want you to play the instruments and try things out. Other music stores are very touchy about that and a lot of them won't let you even try what you wanna buy til you buy it. Don't like that at all. That's why Guitar Center is the absolute best period.
Guitar Centers get a bad wrap but I’ve always thought this store meets my needs just fine. It does seem like they’re always a little understaffed, but when you do get help, they are really helpful. The used section here is always really impressive. I always find something there that I wouldn’t expect. I go back regularly just to check out that section.
Always love a place that has hundreds of guitars to mess with. Staff is fairly knowledgeable and friendly. I tend to know what i want and what im looking for so i find them being helpful a bit annoying but still great store.
This is a great store for guitar and music supplies. I came here to get a pack of Elixir acoustic strings and was able to easily find them. There was a two sided aisle for strings with ample selection. I thought the workers were really knowledgeable and willing to help me find what I was looking for. Also, bonus points if you took out on the guitars while you're there. If you're looking to sell any equipment, they will make an offer to you.
This location is great. South side / Greenwood is night and day. North store in Castleton has a much better staff and they seem to care a LOT more about customers. South store is really hard to get anyone to anything. This north store is a breath of fresh air.
It's a good shopping experience here in terms of the staff knowing their products. I just wish there was more effective communication between the staff and from the staff to customers. I had a piece of equipment I inquired about to an employee and it seemed that if that employee isnt there, then im out of luck. No one else would know of what i was inquiring about. Of course its nothing training or good management cant fix.
My daughter takes guitar lessons at Guitar Center and Allaria and the store manager have been the best staff I’ve ever worked with. They are both very personable, remember my daughters name and greet her every time we come for lessons and they truly want their students to succeed— it shows in their stellar customer service! My daughters teacher Jess has been equally fantastic, is very patient with her, makes lessons fun and sets clear expectations of practice setting her up to succeed. You can tell Jess enjoys her job. We’ve been very happy doing lessons and buying our guitar here, I can’t recommend it enough.
Purchased an inexpensive used guitar. Wound not allow us to adjust the relief to see if the truss bar was working but said we could bring it home and return it if we were not satisfied
Employees are helpful experienced and knowledgeable
The last two times I've been there the staffing has been insufficient. They seem to have 2 people who are supposed to appraise and buy gear, help people select gear, answer the phone, and ring up merchandise. Leaving customers who come in for strings or other easily selected items, waiting around for someone to ring up the sale. Either staff it sufficiently or shutter the place.
Good. Its big box. But they try hard... they at least smile at you as they remove the knife from your pocket book..
This particular store is a lil rundown and messy, but the staff are great.. helpful, friendly. The covid arrows on the floor are insane. If u bring in ur kids, just tell them it's a follow the arrows game. It'll keep them busy
We had a wonderful experience at this store! The customer service manager, Andrew, went above and beyond in servicing our guitar and taking the time to educate along the way. We will most certainly be back!
They’re more organized than they’ve been in a years. Staying with the safe guidelines the store is efficient and precautious. The employees were helpful even with many customers in the shop at the time.
The staff was great. No one tried to sell me anything I didn't need.
Robert Jackson in particular was extremely helpful. He answered all of my questions, and he took the time to explain the difference between brands and models.
The selection here is elaborate, and everyone was very professional.
Good selection and the staff was not pushy. Gave me plenty of space as a beginner picking up my second instrument. Allowed me plenty of time to find the one for me and was helpful for the questions I had not already researched. Could certainly recommend.
Good, knowledgeable people and a decent selection of gear. I would like to specifically recognize Don, who understands guitar set ups and shows extreme patience in dealing with me and my questions on guitars and amps. They also have some decent financing options, if your credit is good.
I came in to try an electric acoustic. I loved the room and the choice of guitars. I was a little frustrated that many of the guitars I wanted to play were locked, but the staff was quick to help me get what I wanted to try out. They didn't seem to pressure sell as Sam Ash did when I tried a similar guitar there. I appreciate that. It was a good experience.
I end up at this store more than I would like. Pretty much what you would expect from a big box store. They have loads of selection and the staff is OK. It used to be much easier to navigate and find things but they added the lesson rooms and obliterated half the store. Now I find myself bumping into people and trying not to knock guitars over while I look. Sometimes it is difficult to get help from an employee.
I work with Don. Found a guitar online Guitar Center see if they had the same model. I did it is even cheaper and I found online. Don was the consummate professional and super helpful
I went there, was searching for acoustic guitars and an employee came up to me with everything I needed to know for being a beginner on acoustic guitars. He recommended me a Fender FA-Series acoustic guitar. This guitar was perfect right off the bat for me and I could just feel it. Guitar Center here is a great place to go, really cool people, very nice and fun place to hang out. Even when it comes to buying that right guitar! Thank you so much Guitar Center! You guys rock!
Great selection and really helpful staff. There is a competing guitar store nearby, and I recommend at least stopping in Guitar Center to take a look if you're headed there.
I came in and was slightly nervous/self-conscious about walking in and buying a beginner's instrument, but the person at the front desk immediately made me feel at ease and really walked me through my purchase. From helping me pick out the right instrument for my height and preferences based on the sound that I wanted it to have all the way to showing me how to hold it properly and even remembering the notes, he was great. My excessive questions were answered very thoroughly and I walked out with my new Ukulele (I know it's silly but gosh it is pretty) with plenty enough to get me heading in the right direction.
Sidenote: Just walking in to see the humidity controlled guitar room was worth checking out.
I love this place! They treat you like a pro when you know what you need and give patient advice when you don't. They've also helped me to test the power block on used gear bought elsewhere, which is great customer service.
So helpful and went above and beyond to get new strings on a very old guitar of mine. Thanks!!!
There aren't a lot of Guitar Centers I like going to. This one however has always proved to be a great stop for selection and service. To he fair, I worked here about a decade ago, so I might be slightly biased, but even as an employee, they taught us to learn everything about our products and how to treat customers with respect, rather than forcing someone into a regretful purchase. I use those skills anywhere I go today whether I work in retail or not. I will always have respect for this GC location.
I went in looking for a second guitar to be kind of a beater. But being picky, I still wanted it to look nice and sound good. I was left alone until I asked for help, which I appreciated. I think it was Adam that helped me, young guy with dark hair and glasses. He was helpful, knew his stuff, and wasn't pushy. He helped me find a guitar and case and we came in under budget. Great experience.
Hit or miss customer service and stock. Not sure if it's because of the pandemic, but their in-store stock is about half of what it was. There used to be a time when you could go in an test out various keyboards. Now, they have a couple of the cheaper ones and an empty showroom. Sound mixers and lighting is even worse.
My son and I had a great service experience at the Guitar Center in Castleton today. We had to wear masks and gloves (which they supplied) but that is ok given current COVID conditions. I bought my 9-yr old son a used Alvarez guitar youth size here a few years ago. Today we took it in to get a new string for it. The service was great! On Sundays they open at 12:00 -- FYI.
Found all the best deals here
All the employees are super down to earth and can help the new jack or veteran without making you feel weird. I actually signed up for lessons and have been stoked on how things have been going. Go to music store for sure.
I purchased a Ukulele, fair priced. The floor model had a minor dent, so I asked if they had any others in back, and before i knew it, there was one at the counter waiting for me! This is my "kid in a candy store." Love this place.
I purchased a large home studio desk online and picked it up at this store.
The first time I visited the store to pick up the desk, they did not provide me both boxes. When I visited the store the second time, the manager asked me what I needed, when I told him about my trouble. He gave me a free product, and I'm certain he would have given me a different, more expensive product, if that's what I had wanted.
Some of the people leaving reviews here seem to forget that music stores are filled with musicians who need day jobs. To me, the store should be judged broadly. The manager was willing to do what it took to ensure I was satisfied.
Tony is a great technician. He’s got me fixed up and rollin’ a few times. Donny is a gear head and can get you hooked up not only with solid stuff, but he’ll take the time to educate you on how to use it correctly. Solid dudes. I love my 80’s Twin Reverb 2 by the way!
Overall my experiences here have not been bad, but there are a few things that could have gone better. Example, I was buying equipment for my church and for some reason the tax free paperwork had to be resubmitted for the 3rd or 4th year in a row. No big deal, they were accommodating enough and let me know I just needed to come back with the form filled out and they'd refund me for the tax.
I did that, but I was there trying to get the refund longer than it took me to look at, test out, and purchase the equipment I got in the first place.
We did get it taken care of, and supposedly my church won't have to resubmit the paperwork again. But we'll just have to see how that goes
I had a bad experience by buying a bad setup, however for the inconvenience, they built a set for me that was worth double BUT for the amount I paid for. I got a 260 guitar for 130 basically, a 30 dollar amp for 60, and a 3 year warranty instead of 2. These guys are AWESOME and understanding!
In and out with what I needed. Staff was very helpful and cheery, and prices were not too extravagant. Store needs a facelift and a thorough cleaning/paint job, but overall a nice visit and purchase.
Friendly staff, good gear, and good offers. They gave me a great trade in price for my guitar, better than others in indy. And they have a decent selection of new pedals and tons of amps.
Just want to give a huge shout out to Alaria and Don for being super awesome with helping me find the perfect guitar that covered all of my needs! They were really courteous and knowledgeable. My PRS Custom 24 Floyd will be forever mine!!! Thanks
This location is temporarily closed due to COVID. Reopening timeline is unknown. Previous experiences at this location have been good, hence the four stars. Just writing this review to advise others of the closure. Disappointing that the phone merely rings and rings and rings - no automated message telling you the location is closed.
Don, at the Castleton location, was awesome and hugely helpful!
Friendly staff. Excellent selection
Wonderful selection and staff is both kind and helpful but also not too overbearing. Bought myself a beautiful Martin and would highly recommend anyone for their next guitar purchase/need.
As always, informed and helpful staff are on hand (in spades due to COVID right now.) current news on Chapter 11 filing doesn't seem to be a concern, staff are confident this store is here to stay!
Very nice place got the congas at very good price and bongos LP recommend it next the flute and the piano for my kids
My experience here was exceptionally great and I could not have ask for a better customer service experience 🙂 😀 😊...Thanks Guitar Center...2/11/22 …
Looking for a new guitar. They had a range of guitars from $80 dollars to over $3000 dollars. Ian helped me for quite a while. I am trying to decide between the BC Rich Mockingbird, the Epiphone Les Paul and a couple Fenders. Had an enjoyable shopping trip there.
I'm really not a fan of the instore experience at G.C. except for the one in Merrilville In. Because i have gotten to know the guy that helps me at that location. As far as products you can usually find what you need but make sure if you are purchasing something new it is actually new.
Had a good time, talked guitars played a few! The associate was very helpful, overall I originally went in for a seven string with no luck! The selection wasn't impressive but I did have a good time!
As always, great staff, great gear! Ask for Abel if your at this store in Indy. Friendly, knowledgeable and goes out of his way to help.
Never had a bad experience here. I have gone to this location for all kinds of gear over the years. They dudes in guitars are great guys and know there stuff pretty well. The techs did not used to be so great, but ever since they hired Amos I have gone to him for all my set ups. I have never had one done better. The only bad things I could say is that they occasionally hire people, usually in the accessories department, who don't know anything about the gear they are selling and the verity of guitars in store has slimmed down over the years. So if you are looking to play a cool Ibanez Artcore you saw on there site they are probably not going to have it. All I know is that I will keep going there as long as I can find the pedals I want and need things like straps and picks.
The greenwood Indiana location seems to have a better inventory and more knowledgeable staff then most stores in the chain. I highly recommend them. Excellent deals on used gear also.
Great service. Took a 25yr+ old guitar in to get a platinum set up and the tech there made it look almost brand new. Great selection for all your guitar needs.
I have always had great service and knowledgeable staff everytime I go in. I buy items for my dj business and playing drums in a band. Always good equipment, never any issues. I dont buy the warrenties, I never have had too. Get great deals ans prices as well.
Great place to shop for my music accessories. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I will always go back and do my buisness with them.
First visit, no problems. Tony is fixing my warlock and I'm a happy gal.
Eh. The staff is fantastic, all so helpful, but they have just been sooo mediocre as far as supply goes.
Great place to find anything music but prices were a little high
I knit, not with needle tips, fingers, got dexterity, so I got a rogue dreadnought on July 4th sale, brand new, never tuned, LoL. Thought it time to learn, like my brother.
Friendly and helpful. Wife bought a used 10yr old guitar from another party and they were fine checking it out letting us know what it needed to get it playing really well.
Rashaan in repairs made my day. Totally helped and made it super easy for me. And he polished up my guitar while we were chatting! Best customer service I've come across in a while. Thank you.
I want to like Guitar Center more. But, service at this location is lacking. I used to work at their distribution center. But, I have never bought a guitar from this store because it is hell to get checked out.
I purchased a foot tambourine and a LR baggs para acoustic DI. The DI was actually $30 cheaper than online! And the salesman let me test it out before buying it. No complaints.
Didn't have the harmonica set I wanted but all was good
Great store been doing business with them for years. Store seems a little empty compared to other stores I have visited while traveling the country
Friendly people, great service
Lots of instruments to choose from. Service is fine but could use a few more employees to speed up waiting times at customer service. Overall a great place to shop!
Had a great experience! Went in to shop for my first guitar and found something that sounds great and doesn't break the bank!
I love this place but there is a dirty grumbo in the basement and he whispers to me from there to get my wizard scrolls. If he has my spells that would be bad because music would totally be like not rad. Anyway here is my friend code on Nintendo Wii down to play some brawl.
What can I say? It hit every criteria needed for a commercial guitar shop. Staff was helpful and offered to get me new models of items instead of the mass played floor models.
great people work there.another great place to shop 💯 …
Awesome guitars. Awesome people. Awesome
Lessons, Instrumental Insight, all my questions answered. My son is into percussion instruments and also digital music blending. I found a nice drum kit, mixing board, & effect lighting for his 10th birthday.
Glad I stopped in
Very nice and knowledgeable people
I visited the Guitar Center to shop Ukuleles. While in Castleton I also looked at Sam Ash. The facilities were far nicer at Guitar Center and I found a nice assortment of Ukes there. I will be back!
I brought in my Ampeg Reverberocket to be re-tubed, and Tony, the technician, was a big help. He helped explain the tube rating system, also dug up additional info on my amp that I wasn't aware of. Most importantly he did a great job fixing it up, it sounds amazing. Great job, thanks!
I'll also add that I was debating the possibility of trading this amp in for another one, but another guy there was very honest with me and said "really... if that amp were mine, I wouldn't trade it in." He could have easily just tried to maneuver a trade and sale, but he was honest with me. I really appreciated that.
Most recently, I brought in my Epiphone Les Paul to have upgrades installed. This was the first time I've moded one of my guitars, so of course, I made a few mistakes with some of the parts I had ordered... but Tony was very helpful and patient with me as we got everything worked out and I got the correct parts. He made sure that the work done to my guitar was top quality, so what was once a mediocre guitar is now my favorite! Tony is my go-to-guy for guitar / amp work, I highly recommend him!
Highly recommend, went here for a epiphone electric guitar. The guys there were very sweet and helped me out with getting a good chord for my guitar. Go here, you won’t be disappointed.
Guitar center is a great place to try instruments. I like buying used guitars there. Not a great return though if you are selling but it is convenient.
Couldn't find an employee who wanted to help us find a piano. The one we did get the attention of didn't seem to know anything
Knowledgeable staff and excellent assistance for all of your guitar needs. I have purchased several useful instruments from this location and will certainly be back for more.
Was about to get my sons crash symbol here. They have used cymbals for an awesome price! But they have to keep them 1 week before selling them.
Helpful, great staff, great prices, overall good experience. I love browsing this place, and it's hard to leave without spending anything lol
Very friendly staff and the place is loaded with musical instruments suitable for people with little to a high level of experience. They offer classes too! Worth checking out.
Just come back from Guitar center, really appreciate for Ryan' s help! Everyone at the center is so nice!
Great staff and service. Went in to look for a pair of headphones to compare with my current ones and the staff let me try the ones I was looking for on prior to purchase. Fantastic service
Very good store.
None of the staff members were not attentive or helpful, a few walked passed my daughter and I several times and did not even say hello. Finally, one guy did help us and was patient answering all of our questions
I stopped by today to look get some pics. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of guitars.
Great place to buy musical instrument and all you need for entertainment. I even bought a keyboard. My company buys all
my equipment from there. Dr. G
Owner of GMV Production
Helped my husband find information about an old guitar he has. Very helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonably competitive.
My bf found the drumset he wanted at a great price. Very friendly & helpful staff.
Great service and they offer a store- backed warranty/ replacement for products that they carry but are discontinued since the manufacturer went out of business.
Very nice people. Helped me with my daughter's purchase with her first guitar.
Its relaxed. They don't ask you if you need anything right away. Which makes me more comfortable than employees who directly ask you if you need help on anything.
Folks were very pleasant service was top notch. Ordering was easy. Awaiting delivery.
Got the monitors i needed and a veteran discount on top of that. I recommend this place for your musical needs. Go here. Enjoy the staff. They helped me .
Store was very busy. Staff was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Certainly a great place for a musician.
After a few hiccups with some associates, the store manager, repairs manager, and lesson lead were able to square everything away. I appreciate them making it right.
Great store. Excellent selection and staff. Special thanks to Andrew and store manager for great customer service!
Gear is always quality, but good luck finding someone who is willing to help you unless you chase them down. Service has always been lackluster in this location.
I'm not a musician, so I can't comment on that aspect. I buy audio equipment for my podcast, and the selection is better and staff far more helpful than the other similar stores in the area.
I get it, cheaper guitars sell better, and large inventories are expensive to maintain, but I feel like the selection here is pretty lack-luster. Time to make a trip up to Sweetwater in Fort Wayne
Good inventory and service. I like being able to use the website first to figure out my choices.
Salesman told me wrong on Martin guitar strings and got not the ones I wanted. Nice store alot of equipment, not a lot of used tho.$$$
They helped make a deposit in the north store on an item for a friend to go get at the south store. Nice folks at both stores.
Great selection of new and used guitars and accessories at really reasonable prices.
I got a great price on a new Sennheiser mic and bought a killer TC electronic bass amp. In and out in 15 minutes.
I loved the place.was there to purchase a gift.they have the location on 31 and in Castleton as well.liked the north location as it seemed to have more room.quite a motivator to start playing again.
Too bad the virus is still around, stock seemed low due to the pandemic. Would rate 5 stars but workers were no where to be found
Amazing selection across the board. Some things were a bit pricey but most things o felt were inline.
Lots of good used equipment which is always a plus. Staff was busy but still helpful. I will definitely be back.
Guitar center in castleton is one of the better guitar centers around Indy! Helpful staff and pretty knowledgeable.
I enjoy visiting the Guitar Center. The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect. You can smell the rock and roll in the air.
Very nice place and great employees!
Much like the Greenwood location, you’ll need to ask for help if you need it. The selection is good though so I visit once a month just to see what’s on the shelves.
Simply amazing. The guy that works at the desk is prety funny and nice.
Quick trip. Checked online, they had what I wanted. Used a coupon they had emailed me. People there were nice.
Great staff, awesome sale prices on gear. Go-to shop for musicians.
Service was great and the sales were really good as well
Service was great
Got a decent amp for $69 and a brand new strat, overall great service
Knowledgeable staff and good customer service. They recently started music lessons that are of good value but I feel it's a little expensive in my opinion.
Always helpful staff who let me know sales or specials that aren't widely broadcasted. Always a smiling face and warm greetings as well.
Where the phrase "Nut Up" came from.
It's a good place
Cam and Sam are the goto dudes for any question and best sales service 🤙🏾 …
Good selection of instruments and accessories. Some prices a bit higher than other sources. Staff could be a bit friendlier.
Shadow of the store it was when it opened, but those were different times.
A lot better than the Greenwood location. Because they had a lot more equipment on display, especially in the DJ equipment room.
Customer support was excellent and they had a good variety of instruments
Stores awesome. Small so they might not have what you're looking for but the staff there is really helpful
Can't believe how great this store is. Our first time in Indianapolis and what a pleasure!!
They do have the new guitar technology, through price is still high.
New and used instruments, accessories, and stuff like PA systems, DJ equipment, you name it. If you sign up for email, you'll always have a coupon or some other deal in your inbox.
The staff couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. Also very nice selection to choose from.
Clean and well organized, friendly and professional service crew, made sure my issue was addressed, very pleased with my visit👍👍 …
Sold some used gear here. Got a decent price for my items and they always give me a deal when I'm there to purchase new music equipment.
Great place to get anything music upgrading, playing, just seeing what's new. I just wish they were more trade in friendly!!!!
Lots of great gear. And if they dont have it at the store near you you or they can find it at any of thier stores across America.

Really knowledgeable staff. Great inventory and lots of products are set up for trial purposes.
