Reviews of Heights Guitar Tech
Chris Liddell
Had a custom built acoustic from 1967 taken apart and all the inside bracing re-glued and it sounds amazing now. Whereas before it rattled so much I did t want to play it, the guitar my grandfather built is alive and giving new inspiration to his 3rd generation. Great work and very fair prices.

I went to have my new 7 string bass set up here, and I can say that Ed was extremely kind and accommodating the whole way through. I dropped my instrument off on Friday and it was done at the end of the day. I went to pick it up the next day, and Ed was patient enough to assist me with a few minor adjustments to the string height. The action on the bass is incredibly low (PERFECT) and the bass is so easy to play now. I most definitely recommend this place if you are wanting an awesome setup!

I bought this Fender American ultra jazz bass on guitar center but it had the high strings and didn't come with the setup and he could really fix it, I recommend doing business in this place, work fast and do your job very well. i don't recommend buying musical instruments in guitar center better buy in sweetwatersound. thank you for having a blessed day!!

My experience at Heights Guitar has been nothing but top notch. Ed Reyes is an extremely experienced technician with zero tolerance for sloppy work. I have brought him a few "weird" guitars followed by my needy requests and super short deadlines. If you need a setup, Heights Guitar. If you hear a crazy sound in your vintage guitar and can't figure out what the heck is going on (lol), Heights Guitar. Can't find an answer to any technical question about your instrument, again, Heights Guitar! No matter what weapon of choice you use on stage, please extend the confidence and trust to this shop that they will take total care of it and return to you an amazing tool ready to rock! Thanks Heights Guitar!

Ed got it fixed the next day, and while he was at it, hooked me up with thicker strings making the guitar feel like new
Would Definitely recommend.

Awesome place. Zero complaints. Had an acoustic with a bridge lifting. They fixed it perfectly in a timely manner. Found another issue while fixing the original problem. Fixed it while doing a setup so you only get charged the initial price of a setup. I like to tinker with my own simple repairs. VERY simple. Going back to this place for anything that takes more than 3 youtube videos to grasp.

Brought a secondhand guitar here, and Ed was able to take a look at it, set it up, and straighten out a bowed bridge, all while I waited. Friendly service, quick turnaround, and the expertise to quickly diagnose needed repairs as well as advising on repairs that may be needed in the near future. I'll certainly be coming here for any guitar fixes moving forward.
Gennifer Kelly
Ed diagnosed and fixed an ongoing 20 year problem with my Stratocaster in less than 24 hrs for a very reasonable price. It sounds better than it ever has. I will never take any of my guitars anywhere else.
Steven Garza
I purchased a used bass and brought it here to have it serviced. Ed got it done for me in 15 minutes! He re-adjusted the neck, restrung, tuned and cleaned the fingerboard and body for me. The tone I get from the bass even unplugged is the best. I can't wait to come back to have the same done for my guitar.

I just wanted to leave a nice review for my new friends in Guitar Repair and Maintenance, Ed and Bob at Heights Guitar Tech. I tried them out based on the reviews here on their google profile. I brought Bob my recently purchased Stewart Stow-away strat like guitar. I have a habit of working overseas and over the years its just been a real pain to travel with a guitar so I bought this solution. A little background on the guitar, the neck detaches and stores inside of the body of the guitar making for a more transportable solution. It’s different. The problem I had with this strat like guitar (or any strat) is that I tend to modify electronics. So along with the stow-away guitar, I brought them a Lace Sensor pre-wired pickups/pickguard to install. I thought this would be easy but we quickly discovered that it wouldn’t fit because Stewart created their own sized pickguard which is slightly different in size but enough to where additional routing of the body would be required for the prewired standard fender pickguard. So I gave them the green light for routing and it went well. They were able to install the new pickguard and electronics with no issues. Very happy with this. So a few days later, I install a Fishman Triple Play midi controller on my guitar. The issue I ran into was that the Fishman pickup is taller than my strings at the bridge which is setup for low action. So after trying a few things on my own that didn’t work, I brought everything back to Ed. He was able to put a shim on my guitar and honestly I thought of this solution but I kept thinking it would need to be on the body for some reason and that it would mess with the detachable neck. Well, Ed put the shim under the neck plate on the neck. This neck plate connects to the neck pocket on the body. This corrected the neck angle so that the strings were above the pickup and the action of the guitar remained very low the way I like it. Again, amazing solution with no change to the functionality of the detachable neck! So I’d say the issues I brought to them were not routine and they hit out of the park. I’m really happy. Also when I was in their shop waiting, I spotted Bob and Ed’s certifications from Taylor and Guild on the wall. It just made me feel good seeing this while receiving quality service at a fair price and the fact they are so laid back and approachable. This is really why I’m sharing my experience. I would gladly trust any of my guitar closet monstrosities that need work with these Djents! 😉 Thanks Again Guys!

I've had these guys work on two of my cherished guitars, giving them a good set up and overhaul when needed. Each time, they were extremely knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend this shop for all your music repair and upkeep needs.
Drew Sullivan
Ed is the man! Brought my tele in for a set-up, scratchy pot repair, and input jack repair. Had all this taken care of in the same day, at a fair price, and got to talk shop with him. Overall, highly recommend Height Guitar Tech for their guitar work. Will for sure be bringing my business back.
Cory Cardenas
Awesome guys at this little guitar shop. I've had tons of stuff done and they've never failed me.
Honest and true to there skills.
If you need a set up or a damage fixed or a restoration, these are the guys to do it.
Greatful, Cory from Pearland New Harvest Christain Fellowship Church😁
Miguel G
Amazingly talented pair of individuals. I came to them to see if they could assemble a neck and body that I bought separately. As you can see from the picture, they did an exceptional job. Not only were they friendly and informative in their approach to the building process, but their rates were very affordable. I cannot express how thankful I am to have these guys make my dream guitar.
Dennis Kitchen
What an awesome bunch of talented Luthiers. Had a great experience can't wait to have more fretwork done . Thank guys
Braden Stackhouse
Ed is awesome! Had him set up a les Paul and brought him in my start that turned out to have a dead bridge pickup. We went over options and I ended up having him throw in some of the last rio grande pickups he had. Sounds amazing and the guitar plays like a dream! Anyone looking for a trustworthy luthier who will do great work the guys at heights guitar tech are who you should go to.
Anfong Chen
Brought in my new guitar to have it set-up. Ed got back from lunch at 2pm sharp, kindly introduced himself, and had everything done in 15 minutes. Perfectly done. At the most fair price I've ever seen before. 10/10 would recommend.
David Ogletree
Set up my guitar very fast. He found problems with the neck and fixed that too. Very professional.
Anitra Jay
Very friendly staff. Affordable prices. Quick service. Not pretentious at all. You'll feel at home. I got a basic set up for my guitar. I will be back for sure.
BossRossInsGuy
Ed was amazingly able to a cure couple of issues for me with two of my axe’s that I had been having for some time. The staff here couldn’t have made me feel more welcome and we’re focused on getting my issue solved right away. Ed was fast and effective and isolated and resolved the problem on the spot! The whole visit took maybe 30min. tops. Also, if you need tubes, he’s got a nice variety and he has some gnarly Plexi’s in the shop too. I scooped up spare set of preamp tubes for my Marshall while I was there. Thanks again Ed, you will definitely hear from me soon man, :) !!!
Robert C
Excellent Service. Excellent Pricing!!! Brought my guitar back to life after over 10 years. Fixed the volume and tone controls which had broken off from being so brittle, pickup selector, replaced missing spring cover and restrung. Now I just have to re-learn how to play!! Thanks HGT!
Sesho Maru
Ed fixed two bad setups from a chain that shall not be named on two guitars, charged a fair price, and now my guitars sound perfect. Definitely will be my go to shop for repairs from now on! I loved the vibe of the place. Friendly people. No nonsense. You don't go there to browse. You go there when you need guitar problems solved.
Philipp Lithos
Fantastic service, knowledgeable staff, and quick turnaround! I first struggled to find a place in town for a setup of my 2007 Ibanez. Other shops either had crazy waiting times and/or wouldn't even touch anything with a Floyd Rose. The guys at Heights Guitar Tech did a fantastic job with the fret dressing and setup. I love how low they got the action without string buzz. Would absolutely recommend!
David Diaz
Ed was very helpful and able to service my guitar immediately, without asking. He replaced my pickups, with handmade in Texas- Rio Grande Pickups, and they're great!, on my telecaster and performed a setup with new thicker strings. He also cleaned out the electronics before allowing me to purchase a used Peavey Backstage Plus amp for sale. There was a decent stream of clients that were repeats, with a wide range of different issues this shop can perform. I'll definitely be back to have my strat serviced. His labor costs are very competitive for a city the size of Houston, Texas.
Simon Torres
Quick turn around, quality work and fair prices. Highly recommended.
Stuart Makris
Got my mom’s guitar strings fixed here today. Great service and local spot
VIC ROM
Very honest business. They fixed my sons guitar very quickly and did not overprice their services. We will definitely be returning here if we ever come across any more guitar trouble. 10/10
Reginald Hooey
Highly recommend this business! Got my new Fender Jazz Elite Bass setup to my specifications with ease and speed. Even tried to pay extra and it was refused. Great guys of integrity. This is my new go to spot going forward. Thanks to Ed Reyes Sr. for the job well done!
Dean G
No nonsense very quick repair shop. Dropped my guitar off for a setup and minor repair and they called me the next day to come pick it up. Made my Les Paul sound great again! Would have been 5 stars but I noticed the repair wasn't done when I picked it up. So I mentioned it and he literally used a screwdriver to fix it in front of me. It worked, but then charged me for the repair. I did pay because he did the repair, but I felt that since it wasn't done and I found it before I went back home, it should have been free. Otherwise, I would have paid for the repair, taken it home and had to drive back and be without the guitar for another day. Would have been better customer service to say, "Sorry, we missed that, there you go. No charge" IMHO. With that said, i did get the guitar setup and repaired. I would use them again.
Thomas Brigham
Took one of my basses in to be converted from fretted to fretless. They did a fantastic job and were surprisingly fast. The people who work there are very friendly and down to earth ,and the pricing was also more than fair. In short, friendly, fast, and excellent service. Highly recommended!
Afton Dill
I came here a couple of days ago due to the great reviews, and they are very well-deserved! Ed is very knowledgeable, patient, helpful, and HONEST. He suggested an idea to me that earned him much less money compared to what I originally wanted to do, only because he was being honest and wanted to help. And it worked out great. And I only switched to his idea after he had already taken a lot of time to look for parts and such for my original idea (that’s where the “patient” part comes in). He didn’t bat an eye when after all that, I decided to go with his idea, which, again, made him much less money. To top it off, when he found out I drove from the other side of Houston, he decided to work on my guitar right then and there so I wouldn’t need to come back! I highly highly recommend him and am always going to go to him with any of my guitar needs.
George Santayana
I went here to have my guitar setup and the Ed did an absolutely AMAZING job!
If you need any work done on your stringed instruments, this is the place to go.
Very professional, honest, and the quality of the work is EXCELLENT!
Christopher Ataraxia
These guys are good. Fast turnaround. I had them completely re-wire a Jackson Pro-Soloist and put in new pots. They have set up a Floyd Rose for different gauge strings for me as well.
They also carved new grooves in upgraded saddles on my Frankencaster. They got the intonation on it perfect.
They're probably not the cheapest guys around but are reasonably priced. It's one of those "you get what you pay for" situations.
Tejas Roysam
Really great bunch of guys. Brought three instruments here for setup now, a mandolin, electric bass, and electric guitar. Setup pricing is extremely fair and the turnaround time is very fast, often same-day or next-day. The quality of their work has been great too. For my (fairly cheap) mandolin, the tech took it upon himself to improvise a fix to the floating bridge using some scrap wood. Corrected a factory defect and vastly improved the playability, and was definitely not something I would have thought/known to do myself. They seem to really care about their craftsmanship and reputation, and encourage you to come back if you feel like anything isn't quite right. I'll definitely be continuing to bring all my instruments here.
Double G
Best in the business! Took my Schecter in a while back to fix the output jack, get a truss rod adjustment, fret dressed due to some high frets, and general setup. Now my guitar sounds better than it did when I bought it 10 years ago! Brought in a new ESP and they set it up perfect and fixed a dead toggle switch. They'll always be my go to!
Josue Flores
Ed makes you feel at home and like you’re talking to a band mate or something !!!
Did not do anything before calling, gave his input but let me make the choices (how every business should work!)
He’s set up all of my guitars now, added split Coil tap to my limited elite series Strat and changed the pick ups to Lambertones.
Did the same with my custom moniker guitar !
Labor is amazing ! Prices are very fair especially when you consider the quality of the work and the time it takes!!!
24 hour turn around in everything he’s work on from my gear.
I could not be happier that I found my new guitar tech! Don’t listen to negative reviews if there’s any. These guys are the real deal.
Jeffrey Davang
He took my acoustic guitar right away and fixed it while I waited because he knew I had a long drive to make. He did a GREAT job and only did what was necessary, didn't try to pad the bill up. He even gave me free advice on my second guitar I brought in which worked! 2 for 1! Definitely give these guys a try next time you need work done.
Joey B
What a great staff and a cool shop! I've been playing and gigging for most of my life, I'm 55. I bought my first classical guitar a few months ago. I was suspicious about the nut / bridge material and setup. They confirmed to me that everything was correct. No charge! Honest people.
Andre Freeman
Just picked up 2 of my guitars for fret work, and I am beyond happy right now! Ed and the guys at Heights are super friendly and do amazing work with lightning fast turnaround! Prices are exactly what they should be for top notch work. 10/10 will be bringing the rest of my guitars in for work!
Robert Sorge
Ed,
Wow! A great setup by you made my Martin HD-28 really so much easier to
play. I drove from Deer Park after reading your online reviews and a
phone call to you the day before. Just like you said, you performed the setup while I waited in your shop. It was so worth my time and money. Thanks for the friendly quick service.
Huntley Kent
Guys, thanks! I brought my Les Paul in for a setup and pickup change. It was the best experience. Ed was super fast, explained things very well. It needed a lot of work and got it playing perfectly. Ed and Bob really know their business. They will take great care of you and your instrument. I honestly couldn't be happier.Very, very reasonable rates too. Thanks again.
M Flores
There are two other guitar specialist nearer where we live, but I've read great comments about Heights Guitar Tech so I dragged my husband to get my guitar set-up. I'm a newbie, so i don't know much about guitar-playing or guitars at all, but the man who helped me was very professional, easy to talk to and very friendly! Luckily, they were able to get my guitar fixed the same day and I didn't have to come back another day! The 90-minute roundtrip drive on crazy I-610 was worth it! Absolutely great customer service!
adam birtwistle
Found these guys in the net and decided to get my Strat setup, and I am 100% happy with the work they performed - my guitar action is now A1. What's more they did the work within 24 hours, and called me mid setup to discuss fret levelling/dressing which was needed. Price was consistent with the work done. I would definitely recommend these guys if you are looking to get your prize axe repaired, setup etc.
Matt Day
First time using heights guitar tech and I must say I am more than completely satisfied. Dropped my bass off for a setup on my lunch break and it was ready by the close of business. They even hung out an extra couple of minutes after close so I could pick it up. Will definitely be back and will recommend to all my fellow musicians!
A for Adventure
They did an amazing job setting up our guitars. It was done a very precise in a timely manner. Fully explained everything that was done and showed how to keep the guitar in tune for future reference. Customer service is beyond exceptional.
Peter Tran
Extremely good people here. The techs are knowledgeable but not pretentious. They seem to really love what they do and want to set you up right. I brought my acoustic that had an accidental cracking, which ended up not being entirely repairable, but they were able to stabilize it well. I also brought in my SG for a setup and string change. I was really having issues with the overall intonation of it in playing, and the first tech who helped me out was very patient in discussing it and explaining solutions. When picking it up, another tech took the time to check the setup and lowered the action some more. I am very happy with the setup now! Prices are very fair. The service here is unparalleled. Will definitely return for any of my guitar tech needs.
Mian Qin
Those guys are the real pros!!! I sent in a guitar for setup. It was way beyond my expectations! (although I've read a lot of good reviews about them and knew they are good). I would definitely visit again if I need any other guitar repair/setup.
Mitchell Loper
They guys are great and I had a good time while I waited. They are extremely personable, professional, and most importantly they know what they are doing.
I won’t go anywhere else in town to get my guitars set up and worked on.
Thanks again!
Jim Folzman
I took my Taylor acoustic and my old Peavey Vortex II to Heights Guitar Tech today for some TLC. Found them randomly searching for guitar repair places in Houston. Man, I'm beyond impressed!!
Taylor got frets levelled, as well as some bridge and nut work. The Peavey got a set-up. I fully expected to drop them off and pick them up next weekend. But all the work was done on both guitars in under an hour and a half, and I went home with my babies this afternoon. The Taylor plays like a new guitar! I can't recommend these guys enough!
Brendan McDowell
I took my Les Paul there today at about 1 for a new nut, and a set up. I get a call 3 hours later saying it's finished. I come and get it and I'm on my way. The new nut is cut perfect, and the setup is great. No where else will there be a 3 hour turn around!! Really nice staff, they don't make you feel like an idiot. Definitely bringing my other guitars there for work to be done. Thanks!
Danny Lozano
Had an acoustic pickup installed here and I could not speak more highly about the gentlemen behind the counter. Friendly, extremely knowledgeable, passionate about their craft, and even willing to go above and beyond and help me out a little bit on the price due to some financial constraints. Take your guitars here and you will not be disappointed!
Jeff Hopper
Had great time interacting with Ed Reyes. He fix a bad setup on one bass, and took the other one in to straighten the neck. Great outcome and excellent workmanship!
amedie robinson
Heights Guitar Tech is great! They repaired a vintage Martin for me after it was in an unfortunate accident that took a huge chip out of the body and just generally shook some stuff loose. The chip repair is visible, but I wasn't expecting the mahogany match to be perfect and it sort of adds to the charm, right? She still sounds good, which is what matters! The service was affordable and friendly, and the guys who work here seem super knowledgeable. I hope to never need another drastic repair, but if I do I would definitely be back.
Dylan Kincaid
Bob and Ed are great! They had my guitar adjusted and back to me within a couple of hours. Super friendly and kind. I’ll be coming back for all future guitar repair needs. Thanks guys!
Hector Raul Torres
Awesome people, great prices, speedy delivery. Very honest and knowledgeable. Never seen other people that can do work like these guys. They're the only people I trust with my guitars.
David Garza
Ed at Heights Guitar Tech is informative and knowledgeable when it comes to anything musical equipment. Hes also a phenomenal guitar player, but he's modest.
Adam
Took my new Martin in to lower the strings as they seemed a tad high from factory. Was expecting to drop it off for a day or two, but they did the work then and there in about 15 minutes! Absolutely would not hesitate to come back and plan to in the future!
Lauren Warthen
Quickest turnaround in town. Nothing beats a good guitar set up- had new strings put on and Bob adjusted my intonation. The string buzzing is gone. I love this place because they do great work very quickly.
Marco Ruvalcaba
Super fine job by Heights Guitar Tech! They made my old Yamaha acoustic a joy to play again. The guitar's sound and playability were VASTLY improved by Height Guitar Tech. They provided a great diagnosis and practical remedy for the long standing issues with the nut and setup. The job was complete in less than a couple of days. I am bringing more of my guitars here for correcting wiring and setup issues. Great friendly customer service.
P.
Came to get my new fender strat checked out cause I kept having some bad fret buzz issues and Andrew and Ed both took a look at it and noticed the issues right off the bat. Fixed my strat up in about an hour and I am noticing the big difference in the way my strat plays now. Thanks to the guys and will for sure be coming to this spot for any repairs and consultations.
Ty Seale
These guys are great!
Their amp tech is brilliant.
He repaired my Crate Vintage Club 50 tube amp and now it sounds better than my Dr. Z!
It's my go to amp now!
Highly recommended!!!
Sean Spiller
Absolutely happy with the work these guys are doing. I guess I should start by saying I've been taking my instruments to about 5-6 different technicians over the years. After not being completely satisfied, I was interested when I saw that a new shop had opened in the Heights. When I walked in I immediately felt comfortable. Small storefront, no sterile fluorescent lights and tons of toys everywhere. Some guitars for sale behind the counter, as well as lots of accessories. I had brought a bass I just purchased online. When it arrived it had a problem with the output jack and some serious fret wear. Luckily, the gentleman behind the counter said he could dress the frets and that it wouldn't need a total re-fret, which was good news. He quoted me a price that was really reasonable. When I left he told me he was going to work on it right away. Two hours later I get a call and he told me it was ready to pick up. Wow! I've always had to wait at least a few days, but usually more like a week. Sometimes longer.. When I showed up they let me plug it in. All my issues with the bass were resolved. In the music business they say you can pick two of three things, while sacrificing the other. Time, Quality and Money. These guys have managed to give me all three. I will be returning soon for all my guitar repair needs.
Steve Pothier
I brought my bass there to have the wiring looked at and to get it set-up. They did the work I asked for, and the set-up feels great! Plays better than ever. Plus they did a complimentary clean and polish on my fretboard. Thanks guys!
Michal Hadam
A guitar set up was a first for me and I wasn't exactly sure what to request or expect of it, and aside of letting them know I wanted .10 gauge strings, I let the pros decide what needed to be done. Let's just say that I now understand the importance of getting a guitar properly set up. Playability is a big factor for me and the Tele feels a lot better, and it resonates a lot better, as well. To top it all off, the turnaround time was unreal. Fantastic job!
Reverend Raft Boy
I absolutely love this place.
Their guitar techs, Bob and Ed are great & really know what they're doing. I've had three guitars set-up here (one acoustic, two electrics). They also cut a new bridge saddle on a Martin did fret dress on a Tele for me in TWO HOURS!!!!! And rewired and setup a Strat in a matter of hours.
Believe me - you will NOT get a quality turn around THAT fast ANYWHERE else in the Houston area.
Their amp tech, Jim Mendenhall is absolutely phenomenal, and I cannot say enough good things about the quality of his work.
He effectively rebuilt a vintage amp for me.
I got an initial phone call within AN HOUR of dropping it off, and a quick diagnosis within another two hours, along with clear, detailed pictures showing the exact problem.
I also got WEEKLY updates and pictures every step of the way.
Most importantly, he responded to EVERY text and phone call in a very timely manner.
He was also very upfront about parts and labor costs.
I know that there's some other respected amp techs in town, but Jim's customer service and expertise blows all of them away.
Greg Green
I brought my '77 P-bass in for a tune up, and it now sounds and plays better than ever. And the guys set it up specifically for the lowered tuning I use that bass in as well as for the string tension of the LaBella flat wound strings I use.
But that's not all--I also brought in my brand new Fender Jazz that had some strange low hum coming through unless both pick up volumes were turned all the way up. I had taken it back to the store where I bought it, and the tech there basically said, "that's just the way they're made." The guys at Heights Guitar Tech pulled it apart and immediately found a grounding issue. It now sounds like it should with any volume configuration.
These guys are professional and friendly. They did the work while I waited, and even let my son play on the vintage pinball machine to keep him occupied. You can bet I'll be back with any future needs. Thanks, guys!
Gabino Bustamante
I took my Taylor in .... Blinding fast service, & high quality craftsmanship!
I was stunned & amazed.
Heights Guitar Tech, is the place to take your precious instruments, & money making axes. With two of the hottest players, & axe Techs [Ed Loco, & Mike Simon , you can't go wrong.
Do yourself & your Gee-tars a favor ....
Take! Em to the best.... Screw the rest!!
Sol Luna
These guys are roll models for all guitar service guys to learn from. I brought my 20yr old Peavey bass, which I wanted to exchange for a new one. But after trying many, many basses at Guitar Center, I realized that none offered the sound quality that my old Peavey did. So I brought it to these guys at Heights Guitar Tech for a set up. The action was very high, and since I had never done a set up in it, I thought these guys were going to say: "This thing cannot be repaired." Well Mr. Ed saw it and after a quick evaluation, he determined that it needed a complete set up as well as a jack replacement. So I left it. And in a few hours, Mr. Ed was calling for me to pick it up. To my amazement, my bass was better than new. I felt like I had recovered a dear friend I lost many years ago. Thank you guys for proving to me that "Newer doesn't necessarily mean better." And that we should consider the value in old before new. And finally, I found they don't make them as good as they used to. Keep up the good work!!!! Carlos Melara
Alina Longoria
My son has brought several guitars here to be setup and repaired. They have always done a fantastic job. We will definitely be back.
S Me
These guys are great and highly deserving of your business. Quality work and blinding speed. Same day pickup every time I've used them. Well worth my drive from The Woodlands.
Mitchell Wright
Set up my new Tele and now it plays like a dream! They even turned it around in less than two hours so I wouldn't have to make the drive in from Tomball again the next day. Great staff, great work, can't wait to bring my other guitars here!
Matthew Nugent
Super fast with the turnaround and I couldn't have asked for better work done on my guitars. Thank you so much Ed, I'll be back with more guitars in the near future!
shane gormly
Took mine & a friend's gtr in today. They handled both setups within an hour. Super friendly & excellent work. Can't recommend this place enough

The only place I'll take my guitars and gladly give my hard-earned money to - great shop, great staff, great work/repairs, and great prices for the quality and care given to your instruments. This is the type of place I love to support, these guys know their business and are musicians, themselves.
Nick Rassinier
These guys are awesome! They have incredible turn around and the quality of their work is insanely good. They have set up my Martin, Tele, SG, Peavey T-60. If you take your guitar or amp anywhere else you won't be as happy.

If you are looking for a guitar tech in the Houston area, look no further, I took my guitar in the morning for a pickup connection problem, by the end of the day these guys had it fixed, tuned, intonated, Floyd rose leveled, straightened the neck, everything done professionally and VERY affordable. Thank you guys!

I bought a new Taylor about two months ago and have been playing it, but I soon realized that the action was to high, so I started looking for a place to take it to for a proper Setup. After doing my research on places to take it to, I decided I was going to give Heights Guitar Tech (also Taylor Certified) a try and drove in from Tomball.
All I can say is that I couldn’t be happier with my decision and it was well worth the drive. Ed is the real deal!!! He is very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough with his work and because I got there first thing on a Saturday morning, he was able get it done while I waited vs having to make a second trip into Houston.
Heights Guitar Tech and Ed easily earned their 5 Stars!!! Thank you.
