Reviews of Guitar Center
Great selection of guitars, pianos, drums, accessories, etc. My brother brought his guitar in to be restringed. The guy who helped us was very knowledgeable about guitars, but he was also kinda slow doing it. But overall I thought the store was very cool.
This review is of Brandon the guitar tech. He went above and beyond to get my tidepool blue Strat ROARING. I came to him with a poorly customized guitar to get my humbucker replaced and a set up. The pick up I gave him had a missing random metric screw and the humbucker itself didn't even fit in the humbucker slot, so he had to dremel it. He really had to rebuild from the ground up the solder was a mess new switch, new pots and wired it to a new pickgaurd! Not only did he get it right but suggested things along the way that really helped (like tapping the humbucker and combining with the middle pickup for more of a tele sound. This guitar does metal, twang and blues! I was hesitant at first because I liked the previous guys that worked there, but now Brandon is my guy. I am very happy with this. I highly recommend him for your guitar tech needs, prices very fair.
Brought a used guitar in and was given an offer for cash or trade credit for new gear within 10 minutes. The staff was knowledgeable, professional, easy going, and personable.
Although I did not end up trading with them on this trip to the store, I will definitely be back and will recommend to anyone looking to buy, sell, or trade an instrument or equipment.
Friendly cool staff - great selection of guitar gear.
I had to get new strings on my schecter Floyd rose guitar and get the jack checked out, so I came to guitar center. Wyatt was very helpful, cleaned my fretboard and did a great job working with the Floyd rose, very efficient and high quality. Thanks!
Great place. I signed up my 2 kids for guitar lessons, and they are going great.
These guys have always been helpful. They could work on their kindness in customer service a bit. The reason I say this is because the old location on Westheimer in Houston had superb customer service, and I had a go-to guy who made me feel valued. I spent well over ten thousand at that location in a couple of years. It goes to show how good customer service goes a long way.
They have alot to choose from, although a few of the things I wanted were on back order. I went for sound monitoring headphones and a midimixer. They had the headphones but not the midimix. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly. I will be back to this location.
Called the store late on a Sunday, about an hour before closing. The manager on duty, Ross answered my questions about some trade ins a couple of MIDI controllers. I showed up about 30 minutes before closing and he and Emilio took great care of me. Gave me top dollar for my equipment and made the trade in process really easy. Super friendly and helpful staff when music stores can be an intimidating place. 10/10.
This is probably the nicest of the guitar centers in the metroplex. There was an inventory issue but it was handled professionally. The CSM here is outstanding.
You can't beat playing a guitar before you buy it. They have nice people and great customer service here. All my guitars are set up at this location close to home.
Nice store, they got great variety of guitars and accessories. 🎸 …
I brought my Ibanez guitar in here for a setup about a week ago, and in the 6 years that I've owned this guitar it has never played as good as it does after their technician had his hands on it. The cat did the job in the exact amount of time that he said he would, it cost exactly what he said it would, and the service was incredibly high quality. He answered any and all questions I had and even repaired my loose volume knob for no extra cost. I can't recommend him enough.
Valerie was very patient and pleasant...my experience was blessed and pleasing! I highly recommend The Guitar Center for Everyone!
Came here and purchased a dj controller, staff was helpful and they recommended me other products for when I need to upgrade, services and plans were explained thoroughly, nice, creative environment.
I wanted to come on here and give a huge shout out to Emilio! When I asked for help he went above and beyond. Not only did he have great customer service he build partner and customer relationship! I went in for a guitar and not only did he sell me a guitar, he gave me knowledge about the products and much more. To say the least I left confident in what I bought and im so excited to start using my new guitar :,)))
Nice atmosphere with friendly people.
Variety of musical instruments and accessories, studio accessories, sound systems, speakers.... check it out in-person and you find a better deal than online deals.
Although, as an electric guitar player, their electric guitar inventory may lack the full spectrum that you are looking for.
Great customer service and great environment. Cass helped us out with a drum set so now I’ll probably never get sleep. All jokes aside, thank you for your help. We’ll be back soon.
Cass has fantastic customer service.! Very knowledgeable and professional. Also extremely polite..i hope GUITAR center appreciates her as much i do...thanks cass your amazing!
I came across four different employees from Guitar Center and they all seem to have a great knowledge of music and they all seem to be very passionate about their job. My kids had a free trial lesson on piano and guitar and they both loved their lesson and like their instructors. We're definitely coming back
There's nothing wrong with this guitar center and it might just be because I'm more use to the one that's closer to my house. I did notice that they don't have Korg products but again not the end of the world. People that are there have been nice, actually, nicer than the one I usually go to. When I'm in the area I'll pop in for any needs!
Very nice place, got everything you need for a guitar among other things..
This store was incredible. The layout is wonderful, the floor presentation was immaculate, and I was asked if I needed help by every employee that was free. I'll definitely shop this location again if I'm not closer to my home location.
Been here a couple times for guitar repair, Wyatt is a fantastic technician and Would recommend him for your repair needs. Very quick, thorough and helpful to get your guitar in and out and ready to play.
Amazing store for music lovers and public in general.
A year ago, I had met two fantastic employees, Rasheed and Mikee, at this location of Guitar Center. The two had tremendously helped me with a purchase. Today, I was extraordinarily helped by the manager, Cassidy. Cassidy demonstrated great care toward the purchase I was engaged in. And, just as well, Cassidy handled the nuances of my purchase with deft. Plus, I was able to laugh and enjoy the exchange! You hardly find gentle people like these three employees in Houston. I am deeply grateful for this store's enthusiastic, polite, and skilled personnel. The ones I mentioned are high calibre!
Awesome place!
I got attended by the kindest guy ever named Gama! He was so helpful and listened carefully to my questions and had so much knowledge on every kind of guitar!!! He definitely pulled my heart strings, guitar center is officially my favorite store!
Wanted to publicly thank Adrian for his assistance in upgrading my snare. You could tell he knows his stuff, making it easier to select what I was looking for. This guy even took the time to install the new head and snare wire and then tuned it up for me (while checking out other customers at the same time). If management is reading this, please take care of your guy! Great service!
Went in to purchase dj mixer but they were sold out due to being closed for 5 weeks . The manager I spoke with was very nice and directed my to the online site
a few employees at both this location and the westheimer location have given me the run around a couple of times. eg. “idk if we can price match amazon bc of the vendors”, and telling me they have an item on the phone but inventory was wrong in person. possibly not their fault but it was an extra drive and inconvenience for me. but today i went in and GAMA turned my experience around. he immediately helped me when i walked in, immediately price matched from amazon without question. i was in and out in probably less than a minute. thanks Gama!! :)
I had a great experience here, Emilio was really nice and helpful. Great first time experience at a music shop, helped me get everything I needed for a guitar. Would recommend and I plan on going here for anything else I need
I’m not sure what to think of this place... the staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, and the place has a lot of atmosphere. But! I brought in a vintage Gibson Hummingbird guitar to sell, and they offered me a sum that was 3 times less than what Guitar Center on Yale offered me... and Guitar Center consulted vintage instruments experts in Hollywood CA to come up with my quote. So there you have it! Go figure! Ymmv!
So far we've bought a drum set and now a guitar starter kit. Both times we had a really great experience with the store, selection and employees. Staff is always super friendly and knowledgeable!
Great experience. They had the 1 guitar I was interested in, in stock, and it was the only one available anywhere near me. Troy and Kevin were easy to deal with, and made it a great first time experience in the store for me. Will be back.
Great store, wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff 😍😍😍 They took care of us and did exactly what we needed them to do and the results were very pleasing. Would definitely go back and would recommend them to anyone. …
Its a rough time for bikes and guitars, the supply chain disrupted, people buying like crazy. I anticipate not having the best experience right now and I don't know if or when it will get better. They were out of everything I was looking for and guitars are unimpressive for the price. That's probably because all the best guitars have been bought and what's left is slim pickens. I certainly miss the days when I could play before I buy and find guitars I thought were great under $500 but I fear those days are gone.
I go between this location and the Fairmont location and both have great customer service, very easy going and ready to deal which is always appreciated! Good people and killer instruments and accessories!!! You can't go wrong!!!! Strongly suggest stopping by either locations!!!
I had to communicate twice with them about an online order and they were professional and very helpful. Took their time to help me over the phone. Great costumer service
Shoutout to Wyatt. Dude does great work. Did an excellent job restringing my guitar
I was impressed by the customer service I received from Wyatt, today. I abhor restringing guitars, especially an old Washburn 12 string. Exemplary service deserves recognition and thanks.
I'm a fan of higher end guitars (e.g. Fender Custom Shop) and this location tends to have better stuff (much like the Galleria location). Staff is friendly and as far as a Guitar Center goes this is a good one.
Emilio was super helpful! 10/10
I’ve been here multiple times and people working here are nice and cooperative! They know what you want and will help you with any questions you have.
Reviewed 3wks ago) Impressed that Sales let's you browse with only minimal supervision. I most likely will purchase a keyboard from this store in the near future. Good selection.
I like the place, location. They have a good variety. However, there was bad service. I had to asks for help repeatedly. No good. Counter help sucked!
There wasn't as much inventory in this guitar center as others that I've gone to in the past, however, they more than made up for it with their customer service. I originally went to the store to have my son's guitar strings replaced but was also able to buy my 12 year old daughter the Pearl Roadshow drumset that I had ordered but was waiting for it to be back in stock online. We usually go to the Stafford location which I love or the one on Westheimer which I usually dread going to, but from now on it'll either be the Stafford or Yale St locations.
I went in for some studio equipments and was able to check out in a reasonable time. Great service indeed. I will definitely recommend this store for your music needs.
Love the outlay of this place. I just started playing bass guitar and they made sure i had everything i needed....will be back here to look at keyboards 😁 …
Great location, doesn’t seem to get too busy though. Always helpful staff
This location is the best!! I had some issues in the past, but they have since brought in an amazing manager that called me to rectify everything, and it is clearly evident (after revisiting the store several times) that the dawning of a new and awesome age has begun for the Yale store!! Great job and thank you!!
They've got pretty much everything. Staff is always helpful and never too pushy on specific brands. I like that they will tell you what is popular or commonly purchased without just going right to the most expensive item.
They've got a really cool selection. It's definitely fun for anyone to stop by. I wish the people there were a bit better with the customer service, but they helped me with what I needed.
Lovely place to eat and hangout and the food amazing
Excellent customer service, good selection, good pricing. I did not get an experienced salesperson for what I was looking for, but he tried very hard and succeeded in getting me what I needed even though it took us a while to figure it all out. When things got busy in the store I could still get attention when required, with a little patience. Overall I am very pleased with this store and would recommend it to friends in the Houston area.
This is very fine Guitar Center. Staff is great and personable. I purchased a fine Takamane Acoustic Electric.
Emilo was very helpful and courteous.
Most of all caring & attentive about my needs.
Always smiling 😃 when talking and listen.
This Guitar Center Is #1 …
This another store i like to visit when im in tht area it a great music store also you fine great deal's
Employees are very helpful and the lessons are good. It’s also a fun place to look around and play with the instruments even if you don’t need to buy anything. Plus they have a huge inventory. So fun!
This place has everything but helpful staff. When you can get anyone to talk to you, they’re all very knowledgeable and able to help, but getting them to acknowledge you is a chore and you always feel like you’re bothering them. I go here often to get things for my job, and that has consistently been my experience.
Guitar Ctr. has implemented strategic safety measures to insure the well-being of customers. Well organized. Special Thanks to Troy and Zach. Note: Be equipped with "Patience" ... Be prepared to have a brief wait. This is due to adhering to "Social Distancing" efforts.
these guys are so nice and always willing to help you with any questions you may have as long as they're not busy
I have came here with my pops over 5 times and they always have knowledgeable people that help us every time we come in, great spot👍 …
I like the place ...haven't been there for a while ....a friend gave me 2 guitars needed. Strings so I was there to buy and look around....found a book too to practice more on my guitar....
Best guitar center ever. I got a really good trade-in with one of my pedals and the gentleman that helped was one of the nicest people I've ever met. The friendly staff and top notch selection really make me want to come back often.
They were really nice and helpful in finding what I need. They do their very best to look for what I asked them for.
Best Guitar Center I've ever been to. Great staff and knowledgeable all around. It's my go to.
Huge selection really helpful staff and being able to try before you buy is awesome
Very nice workers. The place is very clean and they have a lot of products
Guitar dept Manager ,he was very attentive. Great staff. Guitar tech was helpful in advising on Guitar strings! Drum section needs attention. No one to help.
About a new keyboard from an excellent service for like people service from them front door to my car great...
Good selection, knowledgable sales staff that don't push you into something you don't want or need.
These guys are great. The repair center crew has helped me fix a lot of issues for a minimal fee and they'll take time explaining the reasoning behind their logic if you're interested enough to ask! All round great crew working here and a clean establishment!
Awesome staff. They encourage you to try out the instruments. It's where I bought my rig.
If you go there once, you'll like it enough to go back. I got nothing but good to say about it. Go see for yourself and enjoy.😀 …
Good location, great staff, very knowledgeable in sound equipment.
The store has a very good selection and the staff is very friendly. They have a knowledgeable staff.
Very Good Service to the custemers
Love this location. hate the parking & sometimes under staffed but traded in a bass for very fair price & bought a new one all in under an hr
Great place, but the employees can be quite rude sometimes
Akeem was very knowledgeable on helping me solve a root problem that’s been nothering me for awhile on my mixer and he lead me towards the answer to my problem. Awesome services and great place to get knowledge and equipment!
Guitar center always makes me feel like a kid again. This place is really great for your musical needs. Staff is very knowledgeable of all their equipment.
Helpful, attentive staff. Great selection. Good variety of demo models. Used to frequent the Westheimer location, but this one has quickly become my favorite.
Very good service. purchased a concert electric ukulele and an Amp along with some accessories. Stairway to heaven now sounds good on a Uke.
The dude working there didn't know anything about balanced cables
They have a good selection of musical instruments and friendly attentive staff.
Good selection of instruments and gear, but the real perk is that all the staff is so pleasant and knowledgeable of what they sell that it feel like you're dealing with friends.
This GC has always been awesome!
Great and knowledgeable staff.. Instruments sold by musicians so they really know the craft and can genuinely help find you find the best for you!
Very helpful staff. Also had some great deals for the holidays.
The staff at this location is very professional, which is something I like. Being someone that has been playing music for over 40 years, I like the fact that I can ask questions and get answers apart from technical data available online.
Currently taking guitar lessons here. The staff was very informative and helpful in helping me choose my first guitar and sign up for lessons. I love it
Good selection. Lots of GCs out there. As you age....same old stuff. Have fun kudos!
Welcoming customer service.
Everyone on the sales floor was friendly.
I hate shopping here but its a necessity because they have what I want most of the time. Customer service could be better I waited 10 min for a guy to unlock a cabinet with the item I wanted to purchase inside.
Very helpful employees, great environment! Love this place!
The store is awesome, staff is awesome, and the manager is awesome! The fact that these people are sticking to the guidelines of social distancing and being firm on capacity shows me they care about the safety of their staff and the public. This is hands down the best guitar center in Houston.
The guys at this location was super helpful and knowledgeable!
Haven't always had the best experiences at guitar stores .This staff was very helpful and courteous.
Great Place for Gear & Accessories !!
Bought a keyboard that wasn't what I needed and brought it back - total no hassle return experience (it helped that I re-packed it carefully and had all the documents). Would definitely shop there again
Mainly go there for lessons for myself and for several kids. They are incredibly flexible and helpful.
Retail staff are also great
I went into the store with the intent to find my son and I both an electric and a bass guitar. Not only did I find exactly what I need, but I also left with much more. Everyone in that store helped me find exactly what I needed, took their time to educate me with the various different equipment they had to offer and helped me take everything outside to my vehicle. Every step of the way was fantastic and definitely recommend and will go back for any future purchases!
Great Service and Selection. Staff is wonderful. My son is a beginner and they treated him like a rock star. Johnny fixed my son's guitar and educated us on the process. Love this place!
Great employees, always helping, great selection and fun to go and try cool instruments
Easy to find everything and if not, the staff is super helpful in every way
Great customer service. Very knowledgeable staff
Love this place but hate that I can't just buy one thing I always buy more lol
Great experience and please ask for Justin Balin the customer service manager because he made the entire experience painless and extremely enjoyable. I can’t wait to play my new guitar.
Nice place. People there were helpful.
Try equipment before you buy. Great place with good knowledgeable help.
I have very mixed feelings about Guitar Center. I have had both good and one really bad experiance with this company. While I still visit their stores from time to time, it seems lately every time I go there to purchase something they do not have it. They offer to order it but, I am fully capable of buying myself.
Always something new and fun with my family the staff is great
Fun to spend some time playing the different high end instruments.
They have all the big brands and offer good warranties. I definitely recommend it since they also match prices from the internet. Good service from the clerks. Oh! And they carried my big speakers to my vehicle 👌 …
I like going to Guitar Center I found a Epiphone acoustic guitar 4 $80 and it's nice Guitar Center it's a good please 2 Go play music
It's okay, nothing spectacular from this store. As with almost anything else you can find lower prizes online; here you can plug an instrument and play it, maybe get some help.
Customer service is excellent . Very clean more than just guitars . Drums and much much more!
Convenient location. Great if you know what you are looking for. Thanks GC
I came here to buy a Martin D28 and the sales associate was extremely helpful and gave some great suggestions. When I wanted to get the guitar set up their tech was out of town and the manager personally took the guitar to another store and got it done for me. They went above and beyond.
Great service and nice place. Very happy with the purchase of DJ controller. I get a very nice deal on it. Thank you Guitar Center. I'm planning to get a pair of JBL srx speakers in the future. 😁😁😁😁👍👍👍 …
They let my kid come in and jam with nice guitars any time he wants. I end up buying guitars. It's a good arrangement.
Bought some new strings without a hassle or someone trying to get me to buy something I dont need. I'll be back.
Took forever to get anyone to help us. Once they finally helped us service was great. Had everything we needed.
Luke is doing an amazing job teaching my 15yo guitar!
Only reason I marked less than 5 stars is because every time I go in there, employees get into some sort of argument. This has happened the last 3 times I've been there over the last few months, no joke. If employees have problems with one another, the best place to do it is behind close doors, away from the customer. It's always super awkward, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that thinks so. Very helpful and nice folks otherwise...
I like the store and the guitar that I buy was amazing all it cost $180 dollars
Amazing selection of items and friendly service. Really great place!
Staff said hi and was eager to help. Rare attribute for a Guitar Center so I will be back to this one
Very clean and well kept but no assistance while I was inside
Anything you need for your guitars! Awesome place for those about the music!
COURTEOUS EMPLOYEES; NICE, WARM PLACE TO GO AND BUY THE THINGS YOU NEED OR WANT...I LOVE IT!
Very neat everything is in place.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was here helping a friend from overseas pick out some basic live recording equipment. While he was looking around, I was nerding out with one of the staff members about our thoughts on the greatest microphones in different categories.
It's nice being able to enter an establishment and communicate about the things we love without feeling like I'm being sold on something.
I live nearby and go here often, for music it is good to support brick and mortar stores. There are lots of good equipment here for all skill levels.
Very enjoyable place to go to as a music lover. Has an extensive, guitar, piano, microphone, and dj section. Not a lot of woodwind or percussion instruments.
Great customer service.
They let me browse without someone following me around which I really appreciate. Great selection as well.
Best salespeople EVER and their Lessons instructors are insanely talented!!! 🤘🏼 …
Great and enthusiastic employees. Been taking guitar lessons for a month here. Preston is great!
Good customer service a lot of nice stuff are prices you can Ford
Very helpful staff and always a fun time finding new instruments to add some joy to life.
Staff at our location is very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. My daughter takes piano from here and she likes the instructor.
Had a great customer service experience all thanks to Gama and Emilio! Super nice guys!
Great service, nice people, clean enviroment.
Very friendly partners in finding the gudtiar that suited me. Awesome place
Great for live sound. Installs are hard to reiuble shoot with gear found here.
Great store and awesome staff. Always a pleasure doing business with them. I dealt with Wyatt, he's a good dude. They're all good dudes there. I'm not sure if there's any chics that work there.. Huh.. Weird. Anyways, yeah I love guitar center and will be a customer for life. Thanks
Employee was very helpful parking was good security highly visible!
Ask for help as soon as you walk in, that's the secret. Don't wander around when the staff can tell you right away if it is in stock. I'm not a musician but I appreciate the large selection of headphones and Electronics.
Great place with great people working there.
Awesome location and very close but I prefer Westhimier. Been there twice and each time staff didn't acknowledge customers and the weight time was crazy. Will say cool beans to the low prices of 5Hr Energy drinks, can't beat $0.50-1.00!!
I have a question! How much does it cost to reglue the bridge on a guitar?
Very good selection. The sales rep, Allen was outstanding.
Get my guitars set up here. Johnny does a great job.
Took a free guitar lesson tonite....the instructor was amazing and patient! Great place and a beautiful store!!
A large selection and experienced personnel. Go to location for all your musical needs.
Love this place so fun here love the instruments
When to get a jack repair for my bass and was out faster than the ride there. And only 30 bucks.
Great service but not from all of the staff
Had to replace a snare drum. These guys were all over it. Fast and knowledge.
Greatest place for everything music
Guitar Center always offers an excellent selection of musical equipment for everybody from the beginner to the pro. The staff is always very knowledgeable and helpful and my experience in there has been fantastic every single time I've been there for the past 15 years. Pretty much anything you can think of they either have or can get.
This GC has a genius technician. Name's Johnny. Got a Tele modded and set up. This tech seriously knows what he's doing.
Great store Quality Staff😎👍 …
The people are really helpful and super nice.
Nice new location but it took a while to get help
Great Service, very knowledgeable employees.
Very Helpful for not knowing what I was doing in there.
The best!!!
I could live there and always have fun.
🎸 …
This is a great place for your musical instrument needs
Great store! Lots of guitars and very good prices too!
Great place, both pro and amateurs musicians' heaven
Decent guitar center, quality instruments and standard customer service. Tends to get busy on evenings and weekends.
Just went in to buy drumsticks for rock band but salesman was really helpful and even offered lessons
Lots of great gear. Knowledgeable sales personal. .
Audio Section Not as Vast as 1960 location but Really Good Customer Service And Not A long Wait
Great place, much better than the fm1960 location. Huge open concept floor plan and well thought out. The staff id great too... Only reason I rated 4 stars is because the Cajon I wanted was out of stock and had to order it, other than that probably the best music store experience I've wcer had.
I came to visit from out of town because I always like to see the used gear. This store was Huge however, there really wasn't much there. The guitar selection was mediocre, the staff wasn't very friendly. they did however have a great amp selection though. I saw several people who wanted to try something out that eventually walked out because there where no cables out to try out guitars and like i said the staff was pretty unapproachable.
Selection considerably reduced since last visit. Nice guitars Re locked and inaccessible.
Very nice and informative representatives to help you with your needs. They stand by Guitar Center's reputation and their instruments!! In the Height's Area!
Great place to be at if you're a right handed guitarist. Not so much, if you're a lefty.
Nice place. All for music players.
This is one of my go-to stores for musical equipment. If you're musician play any type of instrument or are interested in it you should go there and see these people they really do help you at the store I don't know about the rest of them but I know that this store will help you the employees are really confident and cool with people they don't try to sell you something they let you go around the store and look at what you want to look at play the guitars drums whatever you feel like playing and when you need help all you do is call from they'll come and help you I really enjoy this place very laid-back and very informative go there.
Great selection of guitars but also very helpful people
Amazing place, very helpful staff!
Great selection of instruments - we bought electronic piano. Knowledgeable helpful staff. Reasonable pricees.
Extremely helpful staff and ample variety to choose from
very good attention and pleasant atmosphere .. very attentive workers
This is one of the best places for instruments, they the top brands at the best quality. I recommend to you "Guitar Center" for whoever wants to an instrument of course.
Over all. It was alright. But for a guitar center, you would think they would stock a beginner amp for 50.00. Sheesh. Why are the rogue 10/ 15 watt amps and belt amps and anything under 50.00 new only available online?
Ok service the guitar professional is really nice
got some stuff here in the past, then got more stuff, then sold some stuff, this is a great place for stuff
Guitar Center is definitely the best music spot for all your instrument and gear needs.
Torn about this review. One of the guys that worked there was absolutely wonderful. Quick in and out. Extremely knowledgeable. Explained everything in detail as well as showed us what to look out for in the future as far as the guitar strings goes. The other seemed extremely lost when it came to the clarinet. This was not our first rodeo when it came to the clarinet. So we knew what we were looking for but he seemed lost. Could have even just showed us where the reeds are. Eventually dealing with him just seemed draining. Had to let that go and just went elsewhere to get what was needed.
The friendliest staff! Came in for a switch knob and an online pickup. Was out of there in less than 5 minutes.
Well laid out floor but invocing and refund got messed up......
Things show up in stock but they could never find them. Staff is very friendly and tries to help though.
This place was easy to find what you need the employees were very attentive I found what I needed and got it
Guitar cente e what an awesome place to shop for your guitars, guitar straps, amplifiers, etc.
Decent selection of new and used guitars and other musical instruments
Great customer service! Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Love it. I'm a musician so tgis is lile heaven to me.
They are very helpful and have a awesome personality
My favorite. Love the atmosphere and the good attotude of the staff
Has everything you need pertaining to guitars, keyboards, accessories and performance essentials.
Guitar center lessons and merchandise is at a high standard. Informative approachable staff willing to help and guide you.
I can always find a good deal at guitar center in Pasadena and they ate always willing to help
They fixed my Guitarron here to put a strap on it. Very grateful!
My favorite GC of them all. Troy, Justin, etc have always been helpful.
Need to improve customer service. Takes forever to get help
Answers my question and helped me with picking stuff out.
Slow service. Picked up an online order and it took them 30 minutes to find it.
Super fun. Available instruments to try and play. Staff helpful
Go down to guitar center on yale and i-10 and ask for Rolando he will help you find what you are looking for
Very fun store for music lovers
Staff was great. Very small selection of 5-string Bass strings.
Great service! Replaced a guitar string within 20 minutes.
I was greeted at the store and, it just so happened, that the equipment I needed was on sale! Cant beat that
Awesome place! Cool atmosphere, friendly people, and great service.
Great products, Friendly Staff.
Great knowledgeable staff. Great products
Wow! Where do I begin? My son was accused of placing bongo drums on top of their Display Kit that they have out for drummers 2 play on for what reason I have no idea. That's not to say I didn't jump on them and play them until I realized all the parts were falling off the drum set. When I spoke 2 Hakeem one of the best salesmen I've ever met and most understanding, he made me realize that one of their head honchos was there that day and he was responsible to ensure that all the display items are in their proper place. I explain it to my son and we both laughed about the whole thing because it struck us both that this guy really cares enough about his customers to ensure that they have the most Pleasant visual experience when they come to his store, he'll even get out there with a customer to ensure Justice is served. Wow, what a guy, huh? Also, I asked Hakim if he could take some time to put all the parts back on the drum set they have on display. He said they really don't have time for all that. So, I volunteered to come in on my days off and fix them up and maybe give a few drum lessons for free. I was really just joking with him but he took me very seriously and told me I need to talk to the manager about that. Hakeem, if you're reading this, I hope you get a good laugh out of it. It's not that serious bro! I checked the board in the back near the bathrooms a strange place to have a community board I suppose. Seems it would be better serving the community if it were right up front instead of all the notices about weapons not being allowed on the premises and all that unimportant stuff. I don't know too many musicians that carry weapons. We're all pretty much a friendly bunch of folks. Anyway I think these guys practice Voodoo there because I spent probably $80 in that store but I had no business spending albeit it on stuff that I definitely needed for the next 3 years. About 40 drum sticks, a drum key the kind that's really fast and shaped like two L's stuck together for high-speed cranking and putting new heads on. I bought a Remo practice pad which I thought looked pretty durable. And, it probably is. I was used to them being made out of metal instead of plastic so I was a little disappointed when I took it out of the package and discovered what was I hope high-impact plastic. I bought a rattler. You can make one of these by taking a peanut butter jar and sticking beans in them and painting it black and then putting tape all around it and it'll be essentially the same thing it just won't look pretty but the camera probably won't pick it up anyway cuz it's so small and you're behind all those drums and cymbals. They have this weird item that goes in the back of your shoe that looks like a shoe horn and has a rattler attached to it so you can I don't even know what it's called and shake it while you're bouncing your knee back and forth keeping the beat with your guitar or pounding your poor heel bone hopefully into the back of your gel-support-insole-equipped tennis shoe before full impact with the floor. What I was drooling over the most were the inexpensive name brand gently used drum kits especially the ones with the super high-quality heads on them, which I realized later was a trap. Where they get you is the cymbals and I was so enamored by the drums I forgot to check the prices of the cymbals. My thoughts were the whole time though looking at all the prices, man oh, this is very reasonable. While everything else is getting more expensive, it appears acoustic drums prices are going down. That is, except for the really well-known premium drum makers. Marketing musical instruments is probably a fascinating study. I decided I'm just going to get electronic drum kit. They have so many different sounds in them. But before I do that I'm just going to buy one of those OCTA pads because they're packed with neat stuff and all kinds of different sounds and they got great response sticking wise. The sound systems they have here are incredible I stayed in the store for about 2 hours looking at all the weird kitschy items
Is a good place when it comes for DJ's.
Great deals and sales people
Really had to turn up my smile so a sales person would talk to me.
Friendly staff. Stopped while out on tour for some sticks everything you expect from a GC.
The staff are never very attentive, but the store was nice.
Great pre-owned gear bought a mixer for half the price
The staff were really Knowledgeable and helpful
Nice store, great staff.
Anthony was super helpful over the phone and other associates were equally as helpful in person.
Perfect place for those looking for variety
Customer service is ok
Nice place to buy or just to browse
The inventory is lacking compared to online and the staff can be hit or miss on knowledge.
Good products and kind service
ME & MY BOO'S FAVORITE
PLACE TO SHOP FO OUR TOYS! LOL!
Awesome equipment and great staff
Great experience buying my first guitar!
I am a parent of a teenager who is involved in many school activities. Guitar Center has been very accommodating of our varying schedule. Also very pleased with my son’s drum instructor.
Knowledgeable staff and decent prices.
My layaway item was supposed to be worked on and repaired before I picked it up in a month. I called 7 days in a row to request to have it done but was told the person working on it was not there that day and they did not know when he would be in each day that I called. So, I had to take the item with the damage to it without it being repaired. This was not the agreement I made when the item was placed in layaway. But, otherwise I really love this place.
Daniel DeStefano is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly and I recommend asking for him when you visit this place
Was there 3 hours deciding what to buy to buy a pack of picks xd
Great service!! I am pleased with the setup on my guitar
I rented mics, mic stands and cables from this place. Half of the cables and stands didn’t work or had problems. I expected them to at least check it first before lending them to me.
Great customer service and had exactly what we were looking for
He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the LORD.
The best for all instruments
A little small bit always a decent selection.
I've tried to give Rockin Robin my business over the years, but if you're not edgy enough or don't play in a notable local band, you're treated with indifference, at best. Here it’s different for the most part, for the better.
Having said that, they’re not the best at setting up guitars. Tech scratched my new ~$1k acoustic up around the headstock and then pointed it out as if it was there before, and the nut was shaved too low so it buzzes after I specifically asked them to set higher than they normally would.
Also when selling gear, do your work beforehand on valuation. I was selling a mid-tier drum set. The employee was a drummer and was excited about my kit so he said. He made an offer and it came in super low. He said the reason was there wasn’t another exact kit currently on sale on their website and his manager, who would approve the transaction, was a guitar player and he wouldn’t know what this was. So strange.
They’re generally very friendly and a pleasure to interact with, but this is not on par with, say, Tone Shop in Dallas.
I had a specific need and they had exactly what I needed services was great too
Good place and nice service
Guitar Center Rocks! I purchased a Genesis PA speaker with two microphones. They had exactly what I wanted and the clerk was able to find an additional discount for me without asking. Quick in and out. Perfect.
Avoid Sprout's overzealous gun toting security guard.... if you can.
Not as big or well supplied as the big location on the west side of town.
Over priced for some generic feeling gear
I took lessons for a brief time with Luis. He is an amazing teacher! I highly recommend them for lessons, no matter what level you are!
They are very good with reschedules and understand life comes up. When I had to cancel my lessons they were super understanding and even refunded my lessons I hadn't use yet.
They were sweet to my boo at the time.
Fantastic. Night time is best time to go. Thursday-Sunday.
Very helpful and friendly employees.
Best service of any place period!
Nice people. Cheap lights rental
Good service, knowledgeable staff
My kids have been taking keyboard and vocal lessons with Russell and Kate. The kids learning styles are completely different and each ones' lesson is custom fit to their own needs. I am proud of the progress they have made. Alyssia, at the lessons front desk, has always worked with me in terms of any scheduling conflicts.
I think this place is great but it needs to be better selection of items
Awesome reception. Saw what I was looking for too.
Standard guitar center experience, .. hard to get someone to help you, and the experience level is pretty poor. Half of the powered speaker systems have "line to Mic level issues" .. so it seems like some speakers have lots of audible distortion at fairly low levels .. but it's really a matter of just mixer line levels put into the mic level input, .. then turned down the volume. Training would go a long way .. I went to another store and listened to the same speakers .. and purchased 4 of them.
Staff knowledgeable and great service in helping find what you need!
The only place I ever by my equipment
Excellent place for piano lessons 👍👍🤗🤗♥️♥️ …
Great Cable Selection. Great Staff
Clean, neat, and reasonably staffed for a Saturday. Medium size store. Found everything I was looking for even though they had to be ordered. Customer service is excellent once you get a sales rep.
On a more broad note the thing about guitar center or music stores is you almost have to have a personalized salesperson with you at all times because you will inevitably have questions about every thing, from inventory, kind, type, best "x" for, can you get me that top one to try, best strings for "x". One way guitar center can get better and allow for quicker sales team response and better customer service is to streamline their slow, cluttered, obfuscated POS, ordering, lookup, and trade-in applications. As it stands right now if you want to trade in a guitar and amp, order a new guitar from warehouse, and purchase strings in the store plus ask your questions youre literally looking at 2+ hours. Why? Because inevitably a manager has to be involved (they're always busy) another client needs assistance and your sales person is the only one who knows, the phone is constantly ringing, and the POS has to get 5 Windows open (guitar center website, order draft screen, green screen, trade-in screen, and POS instore ring up screen.) This is ridiculous. Streamline your system applications Guitar Center. No time like the present. I should be able to trade in/return, order online, search inventory, purchase some items in stock, and get quality service all in the same POS application in under 1 hour.
I like Guitar Center but the one on Yale need to stay stocked up because that a busy store.
Really great selection of gear!!

A great place for beginners to learn and also buy musical equipments. Jerome was a very great instructor. I could play a few songs on the piano in less than 10 classes. I have also interacted with the other instructors there who are great as well. A definite recommendation for anyone who wants to learn an instrument newly.
in an emergency you can get gaff tape and xlr cables
