I hadn’t been to Dynamic in years. They had beautifully restored my 1976 Sonar kit back in ‘99. I am giving the kit to my son and needed a new kit for myself. The experience was low pressure and relaxed. They had an amazing selection and helped me pick out the perfect kit for me now in my little home studio. I also got a free lesson on drum tuning and the sonic properties of different types of wood. A few hours later I was home enjoying my new kit! I can’t recommend Dynamic Percussion more highly to any level of player. They will take care of you.

On Google Street view, the shop front and the neighborhood look like they leave a little to be desired. However, the folks at Dynamic Percussion are fantastic to deal with. I called first to make sure they had the drum set in stock that i was looking at. Went down that evening and it's easy to get to. It's really a great little family run drum shop. My set was new in the box but they let me open it up and check everything out before deciding to buy. They had enough extra cymbals and hardware and sticks and accessories to put together a great kit. They even helped load it in my car. A family shop with great customer service that was a welcome contrast to the bigger corporate stores.

Gus and Bob go way beyond what is expected to find the best solution for your needs. Lots of stock, both new and used. All major brands represented and available. Dynamic is my go-to for all equipment needs - both symphonic and contemporary. What you don't get in the box music stores is decades of experience in the field. Gus has such a wide array of experience that he has solutions for whatever percussion problems you may have. Simply the best!

As a drummer there's no better place I like to be than in a store full of drums and drum equipment. Though, when it came to purchasing drum stuff, for years I would always do my drum shopping online through Amazon or Musician's Friend. The prices on these sites have typically been lower than the local brick and mortar stores, plus you don't have to pay tax. And Amazon's delivery has always been really quick in the past so I enjoyed buying from them. Last week, however, I decided to check out Dynamic Percussion for the first time after seeing an ad in Craig's List about a 12% off sale they were having. I had in mind a few things I wanted to buy and thought I would go to the store, try out the things I wanted to buy, check out the price, then likely go on Amazon and buy it. However, as it turned out DP's prices for the items I wanted to buy were competetive with Amazon's prices, and in some cases even lower - even factoring in sales tax Dynamic Percussion was lower on some items. The items I was looking at was: LP Mambo and Prestige cowbells, cymbal cleaner and drum cases. I ended up buying over $60 worth of stuff at Dynamic Percussion and plan to go back to buy more stuff that I need there. The service I experienced was excellent and friendly too, not pushy and they'll leave you alone if that's what you want. For an example of the service, I asked the salesman about cymbal cleaner. The last cleaner I bought was Paiste cymbal cleaner and it stripped off the brilliant finish on my cymbals. He recommended Groove Juice and even demonstrated it for me in the store on a dirty cymbal with brilliant finish they had. It cleaned the cymbal but did not strip the finish. This is the kind of service you cannot get if you buy from Amazon. Add to that the fact that if you need to return something for any reason it is a heck of a lot easier to go to the local store that you bought the item from instead of trying to return it back to Amazon. And it's definitely a good thing to be supporting local business. I'll be going back there soon!
