Stopped in to have a trumpet tuned up. Super helpful and fast service! On the spot, was shown how to oil the valves and where to apply lube to the slides. They gave me a bottle of each and I was on my way! Definitely recommend!

I've known Benjamin Piela for years and can vouch for his skills as a sales rep and musician. Whether it's to buy a new instrument or receive lessons, you really cannot go wrong with this guy, or really the shop as a whole. The others seem like great people and there is a really large selection of brands and instruments at your disposal.

I take lessons 1 day per week here. I am learning at my own pace. Mike is patient and helpful . Very nice informal atmosphere. Plus, I can get my supplies here. Very convenient. Family owned and trustworthy. I recommend this shop for the professional and the amateur musicians.

Every time we go to West Michigan Band Instruments we get helped right away! Their rates are better than the competition and they regularly go to the school where my boys go so they can fix anything that might be wrong with the instrument. I am so impressed by their selection too. The instruments are beautiful and sound so good! My boys love the violin!!

We had a major problem. It was 7:30 pm and realized my Granddaughter's clarinet was not working properly. She had to be at the DeVos Place at 7:45 am the next morning to warm up for her All State Band concert. In tears she started calling and texting anyone she could think of to help. Band and Lesson teachers anyone. West Michigan Band has been amazing for emergencies when open, but they closed at 5:00 pm. It was almost 9:00 pm we received a message someone would be at the store in 15 minutes to help us. I can not thank you enough for all you have done for us. This was a big event and you saved the day. This was not the first time and I am sure it won't be the last. Thank You!

I brought in a used instrument I had just purchased to have it checked out, and fortunately they were able to look at it right then and there. They did not try to sell me anything or tell me that there were a bunch of things that needed to be fixed. I will definitely give them my business in the future.

I've only been here once but I definitely plan to go back again when I need supplies. I started playing sax again recently after 20+ years and I needed new reeds but I wasn't sure what size I needed. I had been playing with a 2.5 and I wanted to try a 3 but I didn't want to buy a whole pack because they're kind of expensive. The person working gave me a 3 to try. I'll definitely go back there when I need new reeds. The 3 gave Bessie (my sax) a nice tone but she's a little loud with those.

i AM EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH WEST MICHIGAN BAND INSTRUMENTS AND THEIR OWNER DAVE. HIS WILLINGNESS TO GO MORE THAN THE EXTRA MILE TO SERVICE HIS CUSTOMERS IS UNMATCHED. I NEEDED A STERLING BARITONE. HE HAD ONE AT A GREAT PRICE AND WAS WILLING TO DELIVER IT TO MY DAUGHTERS HOUSE IN THE GRAND RAPIDS AREA SINCE I LIVE IN THE DETROIT AREA. I ALSO NEEDED SOME HELP WITH A VERY LOOSE TUNING SLIDE AND HIS STAFF WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO FIX IT AND HELP ME OUT AT THE LAST MINUTE AND AGAIN DELIVER IT TO MY DAUGHTERS. They have a good selection of additions for your instrument. They might not have they brand you want, so you can be put on hold for that brand. You also can rent the instrument and buy it later. When you're renting you can trade it in for a different brand. They also do repairs for free if you're renting the instrument

Went to return band instrument and the man there was very disrespectful. As a grandparent didn't have to even have to.licate the instrument for him in the first place let alone drive it all the way to him then be dis respected by him. My granddaughter is 13 years old.
