Wonderful customer service!!! I called at 4PM on Tuesday to ask about oboe reed availability. They only had a few left, and offered to ship them to me. To my shock, they arrived in the mail by noon the NEXT day! These are the best oboe reeds our daughter has ever had, and the quick availability was so helpful! Uptempo will most certainly get more of our business for all of our musical needs.

I went here for an emergency with my instrument, I had gotten my cleaner stuck and needed it pried out in the next 2 hours, they had gotten it unstuck in 20 minutes! Amazing service, and a wide variety of products, too!

Recently bought a banjo here and the staff was extremely helpful during the process. I decided to switch the one I bought for another on the floor, and the staff made that process extremely easy! Overall, very friendly and helpful, and I am very glad I chose this store to get my first banjo!

Very friendly store owners/operators. Purchased a drum kit and one piece had a very small dent, which I likely wouldn't have noticed. They pointed it out and took a very fair discount off the price. That, to me, is a great sign of integrity.

This music store is a gem in the Beaverdale community.They fixed my daughter expensive azumi flute perfectly. My daughter was impressed and happy when she got her instrument back. She said her instrument played better than before. This is the second time we have come in for service on 2 different instruments and their customer service is always excellent and the prices are fair.

Wow I was amazed by how kind and knowledgeable and nonjudgmental the staff was, I felt at home and at ease asking questions and Dave the percussion expert there helped my 14 year old son with the best options for purchasing drum heads! Also he took a special interest in what type of drummer my son was and wanted to figure out what would work best for his drum style and he made my son feel like he mattered and it was really nice as a mother to see someone be so kind to my son and really listen! It’s hard to make a 14 year old boy happy and Dave knew how to deal with him and treated him like he would anyone else so very happy and impressed with his compassion and thoughtfulness!! The experience here was beyond impressive and I highly recommend this amazing place to purchase and to get informed by the best experts wow great customer service they Actually care about their customers and their needs!!!!!!!!!

I just had an Alto Saxophone tuned up that was nearly 50 years old. Service was excellent, fast and the horn plays like a new one. Pricing was also very reasonable. I would highly recommend Uptempo Music to anyone who needs service work done on their instruments.

This is a great place for musicians playing almost any instrument. They sell instruments, accessories, and sheet music. I play four different instruments (guitar, piano, flute, and keyboard). They had everything I would need. They also offer some repair services. There staff is helpful and the prices are competitive to the local stores and actually are much lower than the leading local store.

My mother bought a ukulele here last summer and got such wonderful service that when I became interested in the instrument months later there was only one place I was going to go to get mine. The prices are solid, everyone there will go the extra mile to make sure you have a positive experience and while I haven't had need to make sure, I definitely walked away with the impression that if there was something specific I was looking for that they might not have in stock at the time that they would do what they could to help me in that regard as well. In fact, I actually am looking to purchase a second ukulele there in the next few days. They seem to be the only dealer in town that stocks the brand I'm looking for, which should come as no suprise as they seem to have the most ukes of any store in the Des Moines metro. Uptempo is a stop every time family makes the eight-hour drive out here.
